The drama The Beauty Inside wasn't as good as the movie, it was decent but fell short in many ways

Doesn't this plot seem a bit similar to the drama Arang and the Magistrate, a ghost with no memory seeking justice, wearing the hair pin of the magistrate's mother?

Bang Min-ah is great and looks pretty, the styling suits her perfectly. The boy's a dial tone, he's spoiling it. He's the worst Korean actor I've ever seen.... including the likes of Song Kang, Cha Eun-woo and Yeo Jin-goo - all of whom I now carry a newly found respect for after seeing this. The kid playing him as a 5 years old has more charisma.

If anyone still can't see why seasons are bad, here's one. Continuity.

I think so, they want to string it out so people keep subscribing. It's also easier to produce part of something rather than the whole, and the risks are mitigated.

I see the webtoon was published for 3 years. 6 Netflix episodes... looks like multiple seasons on the cards. I'll pass. I don't watch any movies or TV if it's going to go on indefinitely.

Yes, I think Bok Soon will be more my type of gal. I loved her in Beasts Clawing at Straws too, I'm thinking along those lines. Reminds me... one of her old movies is showing in London soon, will have to try and get a seat.

Shame about Kokdu. There's so much plot-splaining in the dialogue it's just a bore to be honest. The actors have to force out long mouthfuls of pointless words, sometimes less is more, it's like music without rests. The director has no timing, the cast has nothing to work with and clearly little direction, they're almost static in motion, emotion and thought because the characters aren't fully formed and lack purpose... as a result they have to force things and it looks awkward. Imagine a director that says something like: "Just say this [unfunny line] in a funny way!" I don't know what's happening at MBC but they're on a poor run, they've got good actors but not good writers. I'm still watching every week on Viki and will continue to the end, but I feel a bit sad for the cast which deserves better.

Jeon Do-yeon's started flexing her acting prowess in the latest episodes, she's a fine actress.

If you're as immature as me, I got a laugh out of ep.13 around 33:33 Mr Choi's Kant reference, especially Ms Nam's reply, I'm so juvenile.
I hope Hae-yi's alright - at least she should know which man is best for her now. I always thought the sports guy's introduction was too cool to be overlooked.

We've seen 3 examples so far of parents doubling down when their kids crack, or even after one dies, doubling down on the survivor!! It's an issue, especially the portrayal of parents cheating and breaking rules to climb over others - so true. I thought it would make the whole drama too uncomfortable for a rom-com but it's been handled deftly... except the nastiness has overcast these last episodes, as you say.

It was hinted upon multiple times she slept around in Italy, as you would. When the cat's away. Far away...

It's a drama. It was dramatic. Case closed, you lose.

You don't change either, you can watch a whole drama and learn nothing from it.
