Exactly. Hence, I wish they keep the same ending for the Mom in the drama as well. No redemption and cleanly cut off by Yifan.

Generally speaking, it won't change that much. This is how this story was being told, and the most suitable way as well in my opinion.

I'm not sure which episode you are at right now. But try to get past the few early episodes, and when things start developing between the leads after they became roommates, it might become less slow for you.

Basically yes. Wen Yi Fan called her right after the Uncle attempted to SA her. Mom basically shrugged it off like "Your Aunt said it was a misunderstanding. Could it be that you are overthinking?", and didn't do anything to protect Yifan.

Her mother freaking knew about the SA as it happens. Yifan called her right after the incident and her mother brushed it off like it's nothing and did nothing to protect Yifan. She deserves all the hate and resentment from Yifan.

It's from her past while Yifan was living with her Aunt.

Her Uncle (aunt's brother) had been eyeing for her for a long time, so she was very wary of him constantly while home. Hence, she always stays out during the day.

Her Aunt and Aunt's husband sell food at night, and usually by home by 3 am. So, she always stays awake until 3 am and only sleeps after her Aunt couple come back home, to guard herself from the Uncle.

During the night of the attempted SA by the Uncle, she was saved at the nick of time just because it was 3 am and her Aunts are back home.

That habit carries over to her sleep walking because it's one of her stressors.

I was bawling at the upcoming flashback chapters in the novel. I'm ready to do so again with the drama. haha

Based on previous episodes, I'm already convinced with both leads' delivery of the scene.

I was like, "Wow the details they put here!" at that scene. One of the reasons why I'm enjoying the drama as much as the novel.

I just finished L&P last night and get the Li Xun reference now. haha

That was painful af for real.

At he light bulb fixing scene as well, Sang Yan mentioned to Sang Zhi about how a girl is chasing him. He was referring Wen Yi Fan there.

Uncle r**ed and murdered a girl in the past, and the Aunt helped get rid of the body and crime scene. Uncle was given death penalty and aunt was sentenced for 3 years. As for the mother, Yifan cleanly cut off any relationship with her.

The final fight will be the same I guess. Just that they added a bit more angsts in the middle. We know the uncle is going down regardless, so it's fine.

He'll be here for a couple episodes if drama follows the major events from the novel (it's following accurately till now). My guess is around ep29-30.

fr fr. seems they amped up uncle's scene by a lot. Was hoping it would be like the novel for this arc (novel was already angsty to begin with).

ugh... I took a look at ep23 trailer and gosh, they amp it up by like 9000. He's even a security guard at Yifan's workplace now. weee.... here comes the angsts

I usually don't watch modern CDrama but got the urge to do so after watching TFF. L&P was the first one I picked up and it was just what I'm looking for. Still in the middle, but damn it's so good.
