Title Moonlit Reunion Spoiler
Ep12: That duel was one of the best fight scenes I've seen in a cdrama. Legit 11 minutes of pure cinematic experience. It's not just a clash of magical power like we often see, the fight choreograph itself was darn impressive. Of course, CGI and production have been great since the start of the drama and it's the same here as well.

I'd love to see it go to 1 to show how ridiculous it is. The lower it goes, the more ridiculous MDL ratings are.…
As the other person mentioned, she's not a hater and what she said actually makes sense as well.

The drama is doing really well in the mainland right now. The low MDL rating against high metrics from mainland just shows how ridiculous MDL rating can be.

which drama was airing when wonderland of love was airing
Crazies are in every fandom. It's a fact we gotta accept. And they do not necessarily represent the artists as well.

If you look, the dropped rating is like 1.7 and there are over 150 people who dropped this. I can guarantee that…
In the comment section as well, shell accounts actively piggy backing each other's comment and fanning the flame. Haters are really on overdrive with this drama.

I am watching both. And my answer is it depends on what you enjoy. Sooo… what are some of your favorite dramas? If…
Try ep1 of both drama?

I tried ep1 of When Destiny Brings the Demon and it didn't draw me in that much so I left it there for now. On the other hand, Moonlit Reunion is more to my taste and finds it fresh and interesting, so I'm actively following it. It largely depends on personal preference after all.

Thinking of starting this but why are the ratings so low? 7.7? Is it good?
Haters at hard work as usual.

Better just watch a couple episodes and judge yourself. It's one of the best productions among this year's dramas and right now doing well in mainland as well.

I'm not that familiar with power hierarchy for the folklore characters like demons and spirits, this is not a genre I usually read or watch.

In ep10, it was shown that Liu Taizhen was absolutely beating the crap out of the snake that escaped. Beating in the sense like a mother or elder sister punishing an unruly child. Given her position as Snake lord, is she THE boss of all snake based demons and spirits?

If that's the case, Wu Zhen has control over all cat based demons and spirits like tigers and lions as well?

How does the power hierarchy usually go in these kind of supernatural stories?

I know many people are disappointed with the drama because there is a mismatch between the title and what's shown.…
>how He Yan and his master met

This was actually mentioned in the drama in episode 1 albeit only a single line mentioning how her master saved her from a pile of corpses before.

I bet many viewers will miss this because the initial episodes were so chaotic. Without having read the novel before, I would definitely miss this as well.

In the novel, while He Yan was still a foot soldier during her first life, she was on the verge of death after a battle. Liu Bu Wang is a wandering master, and happened to pass by that area and saved He Yan by chance. Afterwards, he taught her martial arts, formation art, etc, which helped He Yan tremendously in her rise to General Feihong. Hence, Liu Bu Wang was like a master as well as a father figure for He Yan.

Why poeple in mdl rated upcoming episodes and that too 5. Or 6. But why
The most proactive people in MDL are often haters lol

I've seen in other drama pages as well, like on day 1 of airing, some ppl already rated 1.0 all the way to the final episode.

not sure if i heard it correctly but mei si seems to address wu zhen as jie, so is she suppose to be older than…
She is older than both of them. She's 24 or something in the drama?

Does CZ in the novel act like this too or is he even more evil in the novel
Bascially the same undertone. Less interference to the leads relationship, but being selfish is all the same. But, he never went ape shit for romantic feelings because he was always clear headed and prioritizes his benefits and survival.

I really dig the drama version. That whole scene was so beautifully done imo. Wu Zhen aurafarming and MZY's lingering stare.

I'm curious. Does this live up to the novel?
Viewed as a standalone drama, it's alright despite its flaws.

Compared to the novel, not at all. Too many character details and nuances were lost during the adaptation process. Just take He Yan for example. What we saw in the drama about her capabilities and moments as a general were not even half of what was in the novel.

Also, drama basically skim through many of the events without giving the details or building proper background. The drama wanted to fit all the major plots from the novel but seems to not have enough space at all.

I held out my hope until they zoomed in on the arrowhead lmao 😂😂😂

And who the f would bring his pregnant wife who is already several months along to the freaking frontline. They were like going on a picinic. There are a lot of things if we really want to nitpick. lol

ikr... Yan He's death in the novel hit me so hard. His dying process was so gradual and heartbreaking that it was like being chocked slowly. And Xia Chengxiu's extra story left me with snot and tears. Yan He was such a bro and he was written so well despite the limited appearance.

In the drama, it was like the death of a no name foot soilder. If you are not going to do it well, why not let him live... I was even thinking that Yan He might live in the drama given the direction of the script, and yet they just had to cram this one in.

Now that the drama ended I really want to know what the novel readers think of it
For me, massive frustration toward the script. I loved everything else aside from that.

That Chu Zhao's crap was soooo unnecessary. Why not allocate that screen time to the final military campaign or something more relevant to the story... what we got was so rushed that there was no angst at all with the final battle. There was no build up to the side characters so there was no sense of loss either when it happens.. I was like "oh, this one bite the dust"... and that's it.

The amount of frustration towards the script was palpable. I'm not even comparing with the source material for this comment. This drama could have been so much more, but alas it is what it is.
