That dialogue took me out in the novel, and it did again in the drama as well with ZRN's delivery. Encompassing all her love and regrets into a few sentences. It was just so beautiful!

Agreed. TFF has a better wrap up. The way they utilized all the emotions built up throughout the story at the final stretch of episodes was so beautiful. There are many dramas that have beautiful ending, but the emotional payoff in TFF was just next level.

And Wen Yifan with Li Xun as well.

I now view TFF and L&P as gender reversed relative dramas lol 🤣

Watched Lighter and Princess while waiting for new TFF episodes which was both a blessing and curse because it was really damn good as well. And now that I finished both... what the hell do I watch next to fill the void left by these two.. lol

There is minor separation for about 1-2 episodes.

Yes. And the most beautiful ending in CDrama land. Can't rave enough about it.

The First Frost totally changed my perspective towards modern CDramas. Up until now, I can even count the amount of my completed modern CDramas with one hand, out of hundred of dramas watched.

I know drama with this level of quality will be far and few between, but I'm going to actively start following modern CDramas going forward. TFF truly has been an eye opener for me. ❤️❤️❤️

It's a little bit different. The novel ended with Sang Yan proposing Yifan at the classroom, same as drama. But, the followings are drama original stuffs.

- The interview and slide shows of family and friends
- Sang Yan fumbling the ring box
- The heartfelt tearful exchange of both Sang Yan and Yifan

But, there are extra chapters that shows events after their proposal.

Can't express enough how much I loved the additional stuffs the drama added over the novel in the final episodes.

Biggest one being the proposal scene. I was kind of curious how the drama will handle the ending scene. And boom, just like that, one of the most heartfelt, beautiful, and bittersweet proposal scenes in CDrama history. This gonna stay rent free in my head for a long time. ❤️❤️❤️

Having to sneak in a few episodes during break at work was tough y'all... utterly sobbing doesn't help either!

Was waiting for this scene, and it didn't disappoint!

I first watched the first few episodes on the day of airing. Very intrigued by the story immediately, so went and finished the novel within a few days and loved it so much. As the drama continue, couldn't help but fell in love with the drama version of the story again. Shout out to Zhang Ruo Nan for her amazing portrayal of Wen Yi Fan! I connected with her in so many levels.

The First Frost now holds a special spot among my hundreds of cdrama and kdrama watched, and I know I will be rewatching this very often.

Let's meet again under Legend of the Female General page, whenever that may air... I know I'll be camping there hard, just like I did with TFF. haha

I really love the kdrama Pinocchio and love both ZRN and BJT as well, so I hope the rumors are true 🙏🏻

Yifan is my favorite character in this drama, and became one of my favorites in CDrama as well. The character itself was well written to begin with, and ZRN portrayed it perfectly. I already know I'll be rewatching this drama regularly for her.

Haha, the condom part was between Yifan and Sang Yan in the novel. Still, it's very rare to see it even mentioned like you said, and more so they bothered to bring it over to the drama as well. xD

The creep uncle and aunt will have their comeuppances. There is no redemption arc for the mom in the novel. Hopefully the drama keep it the same for the mom as well.
