I'm not even surprised at this point. I went into another thai drama thinking "wow this sounds like something new and interesting" and I came out with brain damage. The smartest and most likeable characters in this drama were Uncle Men and Namwaan. Now let me explain. Uncle Men is someone with a very low IQ. He seems like someone who has a disability, yet he was able to hide and protect Tiwa for over 20 years. Namwaan is a fucking monkey, yet he seems to have more brain cells than rest of the characters. The male lead is said to have the IQ of a genius and someone who learns very quickly, but for a large majority of the drama he remains someone who is naive and easily manipulated. I wanted to see more development. He had many experiences where he was deceived and used. He should have learned from them and eventually be able to distinguish between friends and enemies for himself. Also, when he finds out the truth, he feels no anger or resentment towards the people who killed his parents and countless other people. This type of character is so unrealistic, and it's simply stupid and boring. The female lead endlessly lies and hides her feelings for no good reason. Initially, I understood her actions, but at a certain point she was just being a fool. She just messes with both of the guys, deceiving and hurting them both. The second female lead is very likeable at first, but then they do the typical thing where she goes love crazy and turns into a bad person. Also, she just got annoying as the drama went on. She always seemed to pick out a problem with the female lead. To sum it up. Fuck the female leads. I'd have preferred the male lead to have a romance with the chubby servant. She was lovely and cute. Now, the second male lead. They could have made his character so much better. He could have been someone who you sympathised with, but that's not possible if you change him from being a complete psycho one moment and then someone in love the next moment. I just felt they should have found a better balance. The rest of the characters are typical thai characters. Unreasonably crazy for one thing or another. Love. Money. Loyalty. Something like that. Anyway, the biggest problem is that this is a romance drama where the main leads are together for literally like 2-5 minutes, at the very end of the drama.
Can you tell me about tara (oom). Curious. I like the actress
Have you seen Kaew Klang Dong. I'm considering watching it, but I'm hesitant because I'm pretty sure the second female is gonna be screaming and scheming 24/7, which will frustrate me to death.
Can you tell me about tara (oom). Curious. I like the actress
She's first introduced in like episode 12/13. Half way through the series the main leads accidentally end up in a fantasy land where everyone has some kind of special power. Tara is like a princess there. She's the daughter of the family who rules of the land. She falls in love with Khepana, but he's already in love with Ailada. She's a good person and loves him all the way to the end. I quite liked her character, but her acting was stiff and average. She was very young and inexperienced when this was released, so it's understandable.
This drama vastly exceeded my expectations. One of the most memorable romances I've seen. Not only that though, it also managed to form meaningful bonds with characters outside of the main couple. You genuinely cared for each of Ri Jung Hyuk's comrades, the secondary couple, the ladies in the little village, and much more. One more thing. Son Ye Jin was phenomenal. For me, she was the strongest performance in the drama. Her acting was beautiful.
Although I love sad endings but still not satisfied with the second leads ending
Ikr... it took almost the full drama for them to come together, but then the poor dude died. At the beginning of the drama, I wasn't particularly fond of either of them, and at some point I really disliked Seung Jun, but they slowly won me over as the drama progressed. Felt so bad for them, especially Seung Jun. They both deserved better.
Rewatched this after a couple of years. Gotta say the main couple is so boring. Would have much preferred a romance between Geom/Yong and Bong Soon. There early interactions where they bicker and fight were genuinely funny, and I could see them falling in love, but there's just no chemistry with Eun Chae. Relationships like that feel so forced and unrealistic. Falling in love with someone who you saw on a tree once when you were like 10 years old is not very real. Anyway, Lee Joon Gi did a really good job playing the main lead. Also Sae Dol is like the best dad ever. Lee Joon Gi's acting, and the father and son interactions were the best parts of the drama imo.
One thing that really bothered me about this drama was the lack of mystery. We have a thief, who wears a mask to hide his identity, yet pretty much everyone knows who he is almost immediately. Kinda defeated the purpose of wearing a mask.
I really don't know what to say about this drama, well I do, but I feel like I would be writing a book. So I'll…
I'm kinda the same as you. I don't really enjoy most thai dramas. I honestly find them very frustrating. They're always filled with overly unrealistic characters who just yell all the time. A lot of them have really abusive male leads that might even rape the female lead. They are somehow forgiven and then the couple are in love. Like wtf? I just find it hard to watch. The only time I managed to look past this was in Kleun Cheewit. I don't even know why I watch them tbh. I find a lot of the story premises very interesting and unique, but they always end up disappointing me.
Ohh I'm so excited for this! A very interesting and compelling premise, alongside talented main leads. Moon Chae Won sounds like a very good fit for a character who is happy and curious. And, Lee Joon Gi, I can see him completely nailing the portrayal of a psychopath. He has the looks and acting chops to pull it of really well. I really hope the writers develop the main characters properly. Not just simplify them. Also, hope there is a lot of romance. It'd be very interesting seeing a psychopath, who initially doesn't have any real feelings, slowly develop them over the course of the drama.
The scene where young Seri is on the beach counting numbers, desperately wishing for her mother to comeback, breaks my heart every time. She looks so sad... I just wanna give her a big hug.
God, that was exhausting. Only managed to finish this because of Tisanart, her smile is contagious. It's like the main leads were trying to have a competition of who can be more oblivious to the other feelings. Just both of them suppressing their feelings for no good reason. It lasted for about 14/15 episodes of the drama, so there's no real progression in the plot or relationship for a vast majority of this drama. It just becomes annoying and unnecessary at a certain point. I feel like this happens in every thai drama too... There's always a couple who clearly have feelings for each other, but deny it forever. And, they're surrounded by crazy people, usually a character fuelled by a obsession over money/love/revenge.
Yh I agree with you, especially about the male lead. I don't mind teen dramas. There are many talented teens that…
Yeah they're meant to look fairly young since it's a teen drama but, Roy Wang looks a little too young, somewhat like a child. On top of that, he's quite short. This just makes him feel out of place. He doesn't look intimidating enough in action scenes, it makes it very difficult to take him seriously. Plus, the romance scenes are quite similar, for the same reasons listed above. Now I understand that the way he looks isn't his fault. I'm not talking about whether he's good looking or not, quite frankly I don't care about that. I just feel his appearance doesn't fit with the characters personality and role in the drama. His acting isn't good enough to overlook the other shortcomings. He's still very young, so I'm sure he'll slowly look more mature and significantly improve his acting. But, right now, he doesn't fit this role, so someone else similar to his age, who looks more mature, should have been cast, for example Liu Haoran.
I HATED how weak the FL was, how she always obeyed her HORRIBLE mom even if it meant hurting her boyfriend (the…
I absolutely loved the first 10-11 episodes of this drama. It was a very slow paced but it felt very real. The romance was developed beautifully. It was a joy to watch. Then, the crazy mum happened. She's just a stubborn bitch. There's no logical reasoning behind her objection of the couple being together. Characters like her are so frustrating to watch. To make it even worse, the female lead's actions were so submissive and stupid. She constantly hurts the male lead. It was like they needed some way to create conflict towards the ending and this is all they could come up with, so they just rolled with it. Anyway, it completely ruined the ending. It felt very unsatisfying. But, I don't regret watching the drama. The first half was beautiful enough for me to overlook the shit towards the end.
First Impression:This drama is very flat. In terms of acting skills; no one is above anyone. It’s average at…

I think that should just about sum up this drama.
