Ok so I have a theory for the ending of s1. I think fan xian and yan bingyuan has joined hands, it may actually…
Yeah that's a popular theory right now. Lets hope this is the reality. If Yan Bing Yun actually betrayed Fan Xian, I'll be hella disappointed. I really wanna see their friendship grow.
I think it's better for him to be weak when it comes to martial art so that he can outskill them with his tricks…
Yeah, but I remember reading somewhere that despite being very skilled in martial arts, he chooses to outwit his enemies because he finds it more fun. I think choice makes a person more interesting. He would literally be choosing to play with people for enjoyment. It would make him a little more 'bad' I guess. But, yeah I enjoy watching him using clever tactics and deception to win too. I just wish this was out of his own choice, rather than being forced to use this method to survive. But, that would also take away the danger so it would be more difficult to build tension and excitement. I understand why it is the way it is right now.
Does Xiao Yu'er get significantly stronger at some point during the drama? He's very smart but not really strong compared to many of the other characters introduced so far. He even says that Tie Xin Lan is stronger than him. Whereas, Hwa Wu Que is one of the strongest characters since he was raised in Yihua Palace. I just expected Xiao Yu'er to be much stronger, after all he was raised by the five great villains. Although their skills are not the best ever, the person they personally raised since birth should be quite formidable and far stronger than most people. I guess I'm a little disappointed that he's weaker than almost everyone he clashes with, so he is pretty much forced to outwit them.
Am i the only one who watch Hu Yi Tian scene only?I just couldnt stand watching the other brother. The story is…
I'm the complete opposite of you. I only watch Xiao Yu'er scenes and fast forward all Hwa Wu Que scenes. This isn't anything to do with the actors playing these characters. I think both actors are just ok, nothing special. However, their characters like like night and day. I find Hwa Wu Que so boring and dull. Xiao Yu'er is fun to watch. He talks his way outta every bad situation. It's just entertaining to watch tbh. I wish he was stronger, but he'll get there in the end I guess. I'm not too familiar with the romance. Scroll down and read the comment by 'Tricia Pan' from 3 days ago. This person lists many different women who are romantically involved with the male leads.
You honestly have to decide for yourself by watching 2 or 3 episodes. It's definitely not a top tier drama. It's…
Yh there's definitely gonna be romance. There're tons of girls involved in the story already. Can't guarantee the romance will be great, but it will be there.
Debating whether to watch this or not...there are 8 episodes out on Netflix at the moment...has any one seen them…
You honestly have to decide for yourself by watching 2 or 3 episodes. It's definitely not a top tier drama. It's a typical wuxia drama though, with most of the cliches you see in other wuxia dramas. One of the main characters, Xiao Yu'er, is overly happy and mischievous, meanwhile the other main character, Hua Wu Que, is overly dull and righteous. For me personally, Xiao Yu'er's storyline is quite fun and entertaining, while Hua Wu Que's is quite boring. You'll have to watch a few episodes to see if you'll find it fun.
Did Hu Yi Tian's acting improve a bit? Or, is it still the same as all of his other dramas, boring and wooden?
His character in this drama has no personality so far. He's the typical wuxia genre character, who's righteous and dull. Literally doesn't express any emotions. Therefore, it's a little difficult to judge his acting right now. He hasn't really had many opportunities to express emotions. We'll see as the drama progresses.
That was honestly exhausting... It had a very interesting premise which drew me in but there are so many flaws. Firstly, the main lead, Xiao Chuan, was so gullible and manipulable. He constantly gets fooled like an idiot and it was just painful to watch. I really hated the villains at the start, since they were little snakes, but the longer the drama went on, I just started becoming frustrated with Xiao Chuan since he keeps making the same mistakes over and over again, allowing the same people to win over him every time using the same tactics. The characters and their decisions just didn't feel very smart or realistic. There were so many plot holes and illogical decisions all over. And the ending didn't really make things feel any better. Anyway, I finished since the plot was interesting but I am disappointed. You can try it, but I do think most people would get fed up of this drama in like 10-20 episodes max.
I've watched this countless times. I know it's not a particularly good drama but I just love the high production value and beautiful scenery + costumes. Also Luo Luo is the most adorable thing ever. This just draws me in to watch the drama again and again. Not the full drama ofcourse but skipping through and watching the important and heart warming scenes again.
You can kinda tell its not gonna be a mind blowing drama. But, if you're a fan of the wuxia genre, then you might still find it entertaining and enjoyable. Only been 4 episodes so far, so a lot of things can change.
I haven't watched this version, but yes, these characters are true to the book.XYE is happy to lucky, to show…
Yh thats kinda how they are in the drama so far. I just think a darker tone would be a little more suitable for the drama considering the events taking place but we'll see. Maybe it'll work out given time.
So happy with episode 9. It was kinda perfect. Loved Seri's awkward and funny interactions with Jung Hyuk's family. Glad the couple finally know that they had already 'met' a long time ago, rather than saving it for the final episode or something annoying like that. Also glad that Seri will finally go back home, and hopefully without any trouble now that she has crossed over to South Korea. It would have been unnecessary and kinda exhausting to see another unsuccessful attempt to send her back. Now we can see Jung Hyuk exposing the truth behind his brothers death and Seri making things right with her mother. Honestly don't care about her having a better relationship with her brothers after what they've done to her in the past. Hope she just puts them in their fucking place. Everything just felt right with that episode. Ohh and how does a 37 year old man manage to look so cute while sulking in front of his family?
This got pretty lots of attention in China though, considering the cast, sudden airing and lack of advertising
Do you mean it did or didn't? I read that it didn't get too much attention, mainly because majority of the actors are not well known, which is also why it hasn't been picked up by any official sites to be subbed. Am I wrong?
This is so enjoyable to watch. I wish it was subbed faster though. It's torture constantly looking up when the next episode will be subbed. Also, I wish it got more attention. There're some terrible dramas out there that have gotten way more attention than this. Kinda sad for those involved in this drama.
