I'm in love with the anime too. It's so addictive. It's mental torture waiting a week for the next episode though...
I absolutely loved Doupo Cangqiong. It has 3 seasons so far, and another will be released either at the end of 2020 or beginning of 2021. Season 1 was quite lackluster. Season 2 was very good. Season 3 was incredible. Season 4 trailers look insane too. It's a anime that has progressively gotten better through each season imo. The production value goes up through each season, and the story becomes much more entertaining too. The music is amazing as well. It's got the same story as Battle Through the Heavens drama, but in my opinion, the anime is much better after the first season. I would definitely recommend watching this and sticking it through the first season even if you feel it's a little underwhelming. Also, make sure to watch the specials episodes at the right time, otherwise the story will feel a little jumbled up. Stellar Transformation (Xing Chen Bian) is good too. It's really high quality/high production value. It has 2 seasons, and I thought they were both very good.

Yeah. I had never watched an anime until like 10 days ago. I just never saw myself being able to enjoy something that was just 2D images. But, I started watching specific animes like Soul Land, Stellar Transformation, Battle through the Heavens, Martial Universe, and I really liked them all. I've already finished like 6 animes and I'm looking for more. They're so entertaining and addictive.

It's one episode every week. A new episode is released every Saturday. Episode 121 was released today. It really sucks tbh. You have to wait impatiently for 7 days to get a single episode which is only 15-20 minutes long.
it's so satisfying to watch her turn on him cause she's always like "I'll always have your back". That betrayal…
Ageed. It was interesting, but I wish it had better execution. I would like to see Hyun Soo take a 'darker' path after feeling betrayed by Ji Won, which I think he is completely capable off if he's pushed far enough, but the teaser for the next episode suggests they must've reconciled somewhat. Shame. That would have been even more interesting to watch.

Your're being sarcastic right? Sorry, I honestly can't really tell. Anyway, If I was Hyun Soo, I would've felt utterly devastated in that situation. Very recently, he realised that he loves her so much. She stood by him despite finding out the truth, so he began to trust her. For someone like Hyun Soo, trusting and confiding in someone is a very difficult thing to do, therefore if he does it, it means you're extremely important to him. Then, in the moment where she wanted to arrest him, he saw that she didn't really trust him, which must have hurt a lot. I don't really blame Ji Won for her decision, but it just felt like something she wouldn't usually do. I felt really bad for Hyun Soo though, and I don't really blame him for the way he reacted. If the only person he really loves and trusts doesn't believe in his innocence, then why would others think any different? It's okay though. At least his sister will always have his back. Her love and loyalty is commendable.
The last few episodes have shown Hyun Soo and Ji Won making some really questionable/dumb decisions. Firstly, their initial plan was seriously stupid because it could have all fallen apart at the moment they rung the door bell of Baek Man Woo's house. It doesn't take a bloody genius to figure out that the moment they see you in front of their house, they will phone Yeom Sang Chul to warn him, which will result in the plan going down the drain. Why is Hyun Soo trying to hide things from Ji Won? I know he's trying to protect her or whatever, but I'm so exhausted from seeing this trope. Ji Won has shown that she is a very strong person. For God's sake, she doesn't need protecting. Knowing the truth and danger that lies in the shadows would give her a better chance of protecting herself. Why does Ji Won decide to arrest Hyun Soo before even giving him a chance to explain? After everything that she knows, she should be smart enough to know that Hyun Soo didn't kill the woman. I wouldn't really blame Ji Won for suspecting Hyun Soo under different circumstances, but with the revelations about the past, and the recent events that have occurred, it just seems a little dumb and out of character to immediately go over and arrest him. Although, from watching the next episode's teaser, it doesn't seem like Hyun Soo has gone over the edge, but I wouldn't have been surprised if he had. From his past experiences with everyone viewing him as a monster, and his real father slowly teaching him to be like him, Hyun Soo had shut down a part of himself. Ji Won then broke down his walls and made him experience love and trust that he hadn't ever had, but then he looked into her eyes and noticed that she 'turned' against him and no longer trusted him. That would seriously hurt, and then maybe even turn into anger, which could lead him into being the person everyone views him to be. The main problem is that in the past few episodes there have just been a lot more loopholes in the plot. I can look past them, but I'd still prefer they weren't there to begin with. This was a little bit of a rant on some things that annoyed me, but I'm still loving this drama.
I've re-watched this so many times, and I don't know why it took me so long to notice how incredible Chen Shu was at portraying the Empress. She was literally perfect. Her acting was unbelievably good. And, she actually looked like a real Empress. Anyway, I'm really surprised how I didn't realise this before. While watching this time, I was completely stunned by her performance. This role was made for her.
I say about 50/50. Based on the later episodes, I think Moon Chae-won is arguably better than Lee Joon-gi. But…
I used to have a similar opinion as you about Irene's looks, but then I watched the 'Monster' MV and died, so I changed my opinion. She is drop dead gorgeous imo. I completely agree with the rest. You explained it really well.

Yes, everyone is entitled to have their own opinions. For example, I believe the Earth is flat, and of course, therefore I'm right, and no one should argue against my opinion, or try to persuade me otherwise. hehe xd Just kidding. I understand what you're saying. You could say that acting is subjective. Anyway, 'NotMuch' already pointed out that he/she hadn't watched all the episodes yet, so he/she made the comment based on the earlier episodes in the drama, which is understandable since Lee Joon Gi did stand out more during the earlier stages of the drama.
This is one of the most enjoyable dramas I've watched. I had more fun watching this than Nirvana in Fire, but…
Yeah, I understand where you're coming from. I was hesitant about watching it at first too, because I prefer a strong male lead who is a capable fighter. But, I somehow ended up watching it, and I was not disappointed. The male lead may not be strong physically, but he is one of the smartest characters I've seen. The things he achieves from just using his intelligence are incredible. I found it very engaging to watch.

Yeah, I completely agree with you. It's so disrespectful towards Moon Chae Won to say that Lee Joon Gi is carrying the drama though. She is giving a hell of a performance, and she deserves credit for it. I don't see how anyone could disagree with this if they've actually watched all the episodes, especially the episodes in the latter half of the drama. I feel like there are tons of dramas out there with just mediocre acting, therefore when we get something special like this, we should appreciate it and give praise where it is due.
Coincidentally, while searching for information about the air date of this drama, I found out about Douluo Dalu. I tend to stay away from anime because I find it difficult to get invested into them since they're 2D images. I don't mean to offend anyone who likes anime. This is just how I feel about them. Although Douluo Dalu is an anime, I realised it actually looks more like a 3D game. Since I was interested in the drama, Douluo Continent, I decided to watch the anime. I binged all the aired episodes (119). Surprisingly, I really enjoyed it. I hope the drama will be similar to the anime, and just as good. In my opinion, the casting seems great. I can see this being incredible. I really hope the writing doesn't let down the drama. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this. Hope it's released soon.
This drama has countless situations which are resolved peacefully and maturely, whereas majority of the dramas would almost certainly milk those situations to generate maximum conflict, but that is usually so unrealistic and frustrating to watch. This is a breath of fresh air.
'Feel You' by Shin Yong Jae is so bloody good. It hits you right in the feels. I can't stop listening to it. Hope it's officially released soon so I can add it to my playlist on Spotify.
