Unpopular opinion here... Lee Jun-gi's acting is good, but not flawless... For someone who has zero emotions,…
Being a psychopath isn't an official medical diagnosis, but people who are psychopaths are considered to have a severe form of antisocial personality disorder. Although I'm not a psychiatrist, I think it's reasonable to believe that the extent of the severity of this disorder varies between individuals. Also, being a psychopath doesn't necessarily mean a person is devoid of any feelings and emotions. Psychopaths are very different from typical people in the way they think and act, but they aren't really expressionless.
I understand what you're saying, but I think the reasoning behind your opinion is a little misguided.

Title The Romance of Hua Rong Spoiler
Is this angsty or fluffy? the summary screams agnsty.
The romance is quite cute and sweet. The male lead endlessly chases, compliments, flatters and loves the female lead. It's quite a straight forward, open and expressive relationship too, instead of a reserved one, which can really drag and become stale. You might find the female lead a little annoying, at least I did initially. It only takes like 12 episodes for the female lead to reciprocate the male leads feelings. However, they still have 'conflict' between them, but conflict is probably too harsh of a word. It's more like fun and playful bickering/teasing. Anyway, it's a fairly light-hearted drama.
Imo the romance was cute and fun, but the overall drama is nothing more than average. Luckily, it's only 24 episodes, otherwise the weakness of the plot would be much more apparent. There are far better dramas out there in the same genre, but unfortunately for me, I've already watched most of them.
If you like historical romance dramas then maybe give it a go. If you can stand the female lead for the first 8 episodes, then continue the drama. I felt like the latter half of the drama was more mature and more entertaining.
I think how much you enjoy a drama like this depends entirely on the individual. Some could really love it.

I'm a man and I absolutely loved this drama tbh. Imo this is a drama that's so great in overall quality that it doesn't require filler action/comedy to overshadow its weaknesses. It's in a league of its own really. If this drama doesn't win every award under the sun, I'm gonna be pissed.

This was actually quite enjoyable. I initially thought that the story wouldn't have enough substance for 20 episodes, so it would feel really draggy and ruin the drama, but surprisingly, it didn't exactly ruin it. I still would have preferred 16 episodes, but it wasn't bad.
The romance was cute and fun. Dong Baek grew a lot through the drama due to her relationship with Yong Shik. He was like a cute little puppy. I really liked him. He was straightforward, honest, strong, loving and patient. I usually dislike male leads who fall for someone purely based on appearance, but I didn't mind it in this case. He always knew that he wanted to win Dong Baek's heart and he did so very openly. Also, despite everything that happened, he never doubted his feelings and never hesitated in expressing his love for Dong Baek. Even in awkward situations or when Dong Baek wasn't confident in their relationship, he immediately reassured her and expressed his feelings again and again. It's rare to see a male lead like him. He was quite a unique and fun character imo.
I found a lot of characters disgusting and annoying at times, such as the neighbourhood ajummas, Hyang Mi, Gyu Tae, Ja Young etc. I know a lot of these characters I mentioned redeemed themselves in a way, but I still remembered how shitty they were in the past. They just had really disgusting behaviour, which the drama tried to display in a 'funny' tone, but at the end of the day it was still disgusting imo. The only one I really forgave/excused was Hyang Mi. She used cheap tactics to blackmail anyone into giving money, but I came to understand why she did it. Her life was honestly really sad. And fuck her 'brother'. How could you treat someone who does/did so much for you like utter garbage? I felt so sad for her. Deep down all she really wanted was a sense of belonging and love.
A lot of characters really frustrated me. The plot shouldn't really have been stretched to fit into 20 episodes. The mystery killer could have been revealed a bit more intelligently. But, despite a lot of the shortcomings, this drama still worked. I enjoyed watching it and found it quite touching. A large amount of this is due to Yong Shik though. I don't think it's as good as a lot of gave it credit for, but it's worth watching.

I'm only at the first episode and I already feel like slapping all these old ajummas in the face. They're so god damn rude to Dong Baek when she hasn't done anything to offend them. In reality they're jealous asf and insecure. Instead of blaming themselves and their husbands, they just take out their frustration on Dong Baek. Their behaviour is so disgusting and rude. Annoys the hell outta me.

I've never found one of the 'good' guys so annoying in my life. Xie Xiao was so obnoxious for the majority of the drama. He was so naive, immature, annoying and damn stupid. He fought over Jin Xia like a little child. It got so tiring and irritating after a while.
Also, I found Yang Yue a little weird too. Firstly, I don't understand how he fell in love with Shangguan Xi. To me, love at first sight purely based of someones beauty is very unrealistic and shallow. Every time he was was around Shangguan Xi, it seemed like he was super nervous and lacked confidence. There are times where this can be seen as cute, but I did't really see it that way in this situation. He walked on egg shells around her, and it was almost as if he was begging for her love. I don't mean to sound like a douche, but despite his ability to fight and save Shangguan Xi multiple times, he came across has a little pathetic. I wouldn't mind too much if he changed over time and became more confident in pursing her, but I felt like he remained the same and eventually she fell in love with him anyway. I still liked their relationship. Maybe it was just the acting was a little off? I'm probably being a little too critical.
Imo this drama was okay. I liked some of the relationships, but the plot didn't really grip me. It wasn't bad by any means, but it didn't really have a wow factor either.

Yeah, all I can say is, for a Saintess and the "State Guardian".... the two leads really seemed quite useless…
Sometimes I don't understand the choices and reasons with the wigs. Historical dramas allow characters have incredibly beautiful clothes and hair. We've seen Xu Kai with his blue coloured long hair wig in The Legends. He looked so damn good. But, in so many dramas, they decide to give characters silly looking wigs. I guess they might be going for a immature look to resemble the characters personality, but it really doesn't look as good as it could and it's unnecessary if you actually write the character well enough.

Li Chen Lan/Mo Qing and Li Xuan aren't even comparable tbh. I absolutely loved Chen Lan. I understood and felt his love for Zhao Yao. And as you said, he was very smart and strong too. He knew what he wanted and what he needed to do. Also, the way he patiently waited for the woman he loved was very touching. I wish there were more main leads like him. I really loved The Legends because of him and the female lead. Their chemistry and relationship was beautiful. Unfortunately, the ending sucked, but it was worth it. Li Xuan on the other hand wasn't very likeable.
And, yes that annoyed me too. All that effort spent to hide Li Xuan's identity and in the end it resulted in nothing. Li Xuan is the dragon king's sister's child. He looked like he loved his sister dearly too. It just doesn't make sense that they don't even meet. Besides, Li Xuan is both human and kunwu so it shouldn't really be a problem for him to interact with the kunwu clan.
A lot of things in the plot were just bland and stupid.

What even was this?
In the end, I felt like there was no real development in the characters, and no satisfying conclusions. Forget peoples problems with the age gap and racism. I don't really care or focus on those things. I care more about the plot itself and it was just terrible. Nothing felt significantly changed for the better. Yes, there were some really cute, and really funny scenes, but that was it.
I try not to straight up hate on things, but this was so disappointing. Imagine this drama with less popular and less competent actors, especially main leads. This wouldn't even be given any attention.

The main couple is soooo god damn cute. It's a fairly short drama so I can forgive its shortcomings.
The only thing that annoyed me was Jing Zhi pushing away Xing Chen one moment and then grabbing onto her the next. This happened multiple times. I hate it when people do this. They're indecisive and stupid. It's such a weak and dumb way to create conflict to push forward the plot.
There's nothing really special about the plot, but if you like romance dramas, then I think you'd appreciate and adore the main couples interactions. They're so cute and sweet. Anyway, it was enough for me to really enjoy the drama.

I don't really know why, but I love Zhang Yu Jian. He's so perfect for roles like this. His impressions are so good. In my opinion, he's not the best looking (I don't mean this as an insult, of course he's a very good looking guy) or the best actor, but there's just something about him which makes his performances very memorable.

Im still rooting for DH YJ i dont know why
Why tho? You could like Yeon Joo as a character, but in what world would you choose Dae Hyun and Yeon Joo being together rather than Dae Hyun and Saet Byul? One relationship is so suffocating and dry, while the other is so cute and free. Even if Yeon Joo has realised her mistakes and wants to do better, she still hasn't really become a better person. She's trying to get rid of Saet Byul by using cheap underhanded tactics. From what we've seen so far, even if they got back together, their relationship would never last. They're so different from each other, and I don't mean that in a 'opposites attract' kinda way. It's like putting yourself on a ship that's destined to sink.

The thing that annoyed me the most was that the token, that granted entry to area where the dragon king was trapped, was given to Li Xuan. He had no sense of responsibility or strength to be able to safeguard such an important item. It simply doesn't make sense when someone like Zi Ji could carry and protect the token.
Also, so much of the plot was wasted on Su You Lian trying to steal the token in the most pathetic ways. Li Xuan was so careless and weak, but Su You Lian still couldn't steal the token. When she finally did, it was as simple as taking it from him while he was asleep without him even noticing. Why not just do that earlier? It appeared stupid, and it got boring and tiring to watch.

The best and most memorable thing about this drama was the character Yu Feng Mu, the Prince of Sha Guo. I don't think I've ever seen such a good and selfless man, especially as a supporting character. He did everything he could for Su You Lian's happiness, no matter how distant is was from his personal happiness. He deserved the world.
Overall, this drama was pretty average. It started out fun and interesting, but pacing quickly became a issue. Things progressed way too slowly, especially considering this is only 28 episodes long, leaving no time for the real conflict, battle and conclusion. All the interesting things that the story spent time building towards were, in the end, just overlooked and not given proper closure. Despite all this, the ending was quite satisfying, which was quite surprising.
I just feel like a lot of time was spent on unnecessary characters or story lines which added nothing to the actual plot. Also, there were a lot of things in the plot which simply didn't make sense/seem logical which annoyed me. Plus, why did Su You Lian's master/teacher exist? Was his purpose to annoy the viewers to death? Jesus, I wanted to smack him. In the end he was forgotten/he disappeared. Li Xuan was meant to be a very powerful hybrid, but I never really felt like he was powerful. It felt underwhelming. They tried so hard to hide his identity and there were mentions of a hybrid child being the most powerful, but it resulted in barely anything significant. I was disappointed.
The romance didn't really click for me. I liked both the main leads and was satisfied with their performances, but in the end I wished the main couple wouldn't end up together.
I would have preferred a romance between Li Xuan and Long Wei Er. I think they would have been perfect together. Long Wei Er would be tough and resilient enough to handle Li Xuan's playfulness. While, Li Xuan's mischievous and funny personality would slowly break down Long Wei Er's cold exterior. They would naturally attract each other and help each other grow. One would learn to be more serious and responsible, while the other learns to open up, care, be kind and love.
I think Su You Lian should have ended up with Yu Feng Mu. I got tired of the conflict and misunderstandings/push-pull between the Su You Lian and Li Xuan. Also, a person like Yu Feng Mu was worthy of anyone.
Although Xiao Feng Ming and Yun Shan were annoying at times, they made quite a cute couple so I was quite happy with them together.
Anyway, this was another drama that I felt could have been much better. It's worth a watch tho if you like the genre imo.

Title Joy of Life
This is one of the most enjoyable dramas I've watched. I had more fun watching this than Nirvana in Fire, but…
Yeah, I can agree on that. Nirvana in Fire is one of the few dramas I really respect, but I wouldn't really re-watch it. Whereas, I've already re-watched this multiple times.

Title Joy of Life
This kinda reminds me of how another series "The Dark Lord" left without a sequel at least yet to be heard of.…
Yeah, this reminded me of The Dark Lord too. But, Joy of Life is far better than it tbh. I hope they both release the 2nd seasons sooner rather than later. I really really really don't want to have to wait until 2022. It's way too long.
