This series should be renamed to: How not to be a father. The human emperor did develop a strong backbone though

started this with no expectations and loved it!
I'm late to the party too! Excited to watch this, just came from Goodbye My Princess and didn't realise CXX was in this too!

Yeah if you want to be traumatized and Scarred for life this is the your drama to help with that ☺ i wactched…
I only watched the first 16 episodes before giving up and skipping through the rest because I could tell this would be an incredibly angsty story, even more so than TTEOTM (which is quite a feat). I wasn't really interested in all the court politics, but I really wanted to know how their relationship would turn out, and it didn't disappoint

What kept me interested in this drama was just Xaio Feng. About Li Cheng Yin- he was a very good example for how…
So true, every second passes I just wanted to give him a massive punch

Oh my goodness when ChangYu saw all those dead people from Lin'An waving at her in the last episode I thought she had died, that scared me

It has good romance you can enjoy. Historical stuff comes in the later half but its definitely not the main plot
I would say the historical stuff became the main focus in the latter half of the series, but the romance was definitely focus of the first half.

I think that asking others is not useful because Chinese “costume period” dramas have 4 genres: historical…
MLC is sooooo good, as is The Blood of Youth + Dashing Youth + Blood River

I was just like you before watching the drama... Honestly Historical CDrama is really not my cup of tea... I was…
I loved the first half, but not so much for the second half (except for DengKai he's amazing), I'm interested in knowing how you feel when you've finished the series

To all the wonderful people who warned me not to start my C-Drama journey with Pursuit of Jade, I can only say…
I really feel like PoJ was kinda a hit and then miss, it has some really really amazing parts, and then some not so good bits, but overall I enjoyed it quite a lot

wow this surpassed the untamed. wow. (hence the untamed use to be the number 1 chinese drama on mydramalist) but…
Oh you're right! I wonder if it'll remain at this level when there are more ratings, as the untamed has around x2 the number of user ratings

i watched like the first 4 ep but wasn't able to truly get into this, but i know its rlly popular and im not sure…
Honestly, I had higher expectations for this. I loved the first Lin'An arc, it was beautiful character building. But then when it started moving into the more complicated court politics + uncovering the mystery of the incident from 17 years ago, it became very complex. I actually found it difficult to follow and lost interest in the second half of the series.

What I loved about this series is the character writing, cinematography, relationships between the couples and omg DengKai. He's really outdone himself this time

DengKai has truly truly outdone himself in PoJ, what a wonderful and heartful performance, I actually thought he outshone even the main leads

Ok I know our FL is a genius and a super capable girlie and I love her, but come on, she is not at all experience in actual battles/fights and has herself admitted her fighting skills are only at a novice level. The first time she defeated the general was because it was a battle of strength, fine, but the second time, it was a battle of skill, how the hell did she win?? Frankly, I thought it was a bit too unrealistic and exaggerated, even by cdrama standards.

She may have had some little tips from ML and General He, but she had no extra practice, don't tell me she somehow internalised their advice and just became a master fighter ..

he does play the villain role well, as a viewer in my mind I used a 2-handed hammer on his face; I'm watching…
I've seen him play the villain in The Blood of Youth and then Pursuit of Jade, he is undeniably an amazing villain actor, and a very very handsome one that strikes the balance between attractive and deadly. I hope to see him in more roles like this

Thanks, not sure why some people feel the need to be off-handedly rude and dismissive nowadays

Don’t believe the reviews, it’s JCW’s fans mass upvoting to fake the ratings. This kdrama is an utter garbage
Oh 😂 care to elaborate?
