This ML definitely isn't the typical cool and mature and smart/powerful type, he's immature and lazy and foolish, but kind. But I actually think it's pretty refreshing to see someone outside of the typical iceberg type ML

After watching that Snow/Winter Goddess from ALP, HuaShu is just a baby compared to her evil schemes haha. The number of times my blood nearly boiled over in ALP because of her ..

This is actually interesting, I watched ALP but didn't think it was relevant at all to this. But now that you've mentioned, perhaps I've subconsciously already understood that 200 years for a God basically means he's an infant in human age, but people who haven't watched ALP might not actually get that

Wait so it seems FL remembers what happens every time she dies and goes to the Nether Realm seeing that she remembers how many years she's managed to live each time, so is it just her first (or second) life as the Water Beast which she forgets?

The proxy Emperor is the perfect example of how a perfect ruler cannot be a perfect lover, he's everything a great ruler needs to be, and because of this, he cannot afford to be partial to satisfy HuaShu (not that I want her to be happy anyway), but he always protects her secretly

So the Phoenix Queen was the only one who saw the newborn Phoenix's appearance before she died in ep1, how did she not recognise her in ep4? Or did she just assume it was someone who looked exactly like her

Quite refreshing to say the least, it's interesting how the majority of the time is spent on ML's pov unlike many xianxia which focus on FL (at least up to ep2), interesting to see how this will develop

I didn't really like ALP, but loved MM, I wonder what I'll think of this one

So so so agreed, one thing I loved about this series was that there weren't any stupid misunderstandings or miscommunication

Sidenote, but I absolutely love the makeup look for FuLing, the way the lower lashes were placed so that it gives her eyes that droopy seductive look, omg perfection

I haven't finished it so not sure about the ending, but the chemistry so far (at ep15) for me is really good

Love love love their chemistry so far, but also gosh poor ChongZhao .. and omg FuLing's flashback in ep19?? Oh damn plot twist
