After MM and CD I hope to see him in more costume dramas especially if there are fantasy elements.
The first time I saw him was as LWJ in TBOY (one of my all time favourite series), then most recently in MM, and I was blown away with his acting skills in these two series!!
Sooo why the hell didn't BaiJue read TianQi's memory stone thingie earlier??? I mean not that it would've changed anything, but at least TianQi wouldn't need to carry the burden by himself ..
Also I knew WuHuan wasn't gonna be anything good from the first time I saw her, I feel bad for the Emperor dude, married a black-hearted scheming person and doesn't have a clear enough mind to even know the number of lies he's been fed
Watching this in 2026, it really reminds me of the common trope used in the dramas in those times, there's always always that one crazy obsessive girl who wrecks everything because of her 'love' for ML
Oh my goodness I'm dying from laughing too hard - I kept thinking TianQi looked familiar but couldn't place where I've seen him before, so I came to check and OF COURSE HE WAS WUXIN IN THE BLOOD OF YOUTH no wonder it didn't manage to click cuz HE WAS BALD HAHAHAHA
Oh dear, not only was there lowkey STALKING, there were also LIES??? I mean I know he didn't consciously lie when he first woke up from his coma cuz he was confused, but he did afterwards, wow. I kinda had an inkling something was wrong when Jin confronted Cir, but I just thought Cir had split personality or some kind of mental illness that makes him hallucinate. But him consciously lying makes it soooo wrong.
On a side note, if Cir's other selves comes to give him premonitions of his future with Phu, I wonder if Phu's other selves also do that.
Anyway, I'm definitely way more invested in the side couple even though we only got like 40 minutes of them tops. I wonder how Jin got his psychic powers though
First few episodes were good working on the complicated back and forth between two strong individuals with enough…
I actually felt FanXiao without emotions makes it even more impactful in a way, as in I was very disgustedly impressed with how unflinchling he was always able to lie through his teeth to ShuLang. Him being emotionless throughout is part of his character to me, as if he's completely internalised any type of emotions including guilt, so none of it can show on his face. He is literally - as you said - a heartless wooden figure
That was so .. bad?? I don't understand where the high ratings come from, because I totally agree with the top reviews, the story is so paper-thin a gust of wind can break it. The acting may be good, but that is literally it.
