why does this remind me of Lucas's hongkong noir"romance" drama he filmed for that superm show XD

hahahha, i knew it. ive heard people who work in IT stuff just never sleep and it takes such long and tedious work, that when i see those scenes i get so confused XD do you think people like that exist out there, tho? i mean there are people who can type out word documents super fast with 0 errors, like scribes in law settings and stuff hahaha. of course theyd be genius-type people that are 1 in a million. hmm, well itd be nice to see a movie/drama portray it properly for once.

sigh, im kind of sick of these "modern girl goes into ancient times" especially if its a video game because it makes all the things in it not seem serious and cheesy, and it essentially feels like the fl is just roleplaying... i cant really describe it...

the female lead doesnt take the world seriously, so neither can I. i don't care about the characters or world and theres no feeling of urgency, desperation, seriousness, its like watching a parody movie, its purely for laughs, you dont care who dies, if things get destroyed, you dont root for characters, or want them to live or die, because you just dont care.

i know some people love these stories, but i can't be the only one who feels this way about these types of shows. its why i never really enjoyed 'W' or that other one about Haru, or any cdrama where the girl gets sucked into a hisotrical video game

why can't they make female leads of girls who actually LIVED in that time and actually care about the world its set in and follow the rules of the world they live in. you need a setting with LAWS and RULES for a story to work, and the rules have to be explained. its like harry potter, you can't just do wahtever with magic and make all the problems and issues dissapear. there are rules to it, you have to learn it, things are forbidden, there's an organisation controlling it. that way there can be bad guys who break the rules and learn forbidden spells and cause imbalance to the "harmony" of the story, the hero can be weak because he hasnt learnt enoguh, or gifted (but only through family relations not randomly) or powerful because he accomplished certain things or found a magical item. there is cause and effect and therefore there is reason in the story.

anyway XD i'll still try this show, because i love costume dramas, and who knows, i might enjoy it. but this genre doesnt work if the storytelling relies on the genre for everything , it only works with shock value and the juxtoposition of old things and new things and once youve seen one, you've seen them all because its no longer fresh or new to see "hahaha, modern girl doing modern things in ancient time lol"

but i will be watching to see if theyve also written a nice story despite that trope because you never know what will be a good drama or a bad dram ahahaha

the very first ep of this show taught me what those "omg, who is that guy, why are all these girls here" "its ceo gu, he's super hot and smart but is a devil and is never seen with any women but that makes them want him more" are like in english and the actual cringe XD i got so used to it in asian dramas, that when i heard it in english i realised how freaking weird it is to see people even care about other people like they're a celebrity or something hahaha. i mean, the only western shows that do that, do it in a parody way like "that's regina george. i want to be her. one time she punched me in the face" like as a joke lol.

anyway, this has nothing to do with the show hahahahaa and im not dissing the show, just pointing out that we should stop this trope, especially if the characters are not in asia (but i cant imagine this exists in like korea/china either, but then you see idol interviews about their school days and im like... ok wow), cause i cant see people in NY giving a shit about anyone that isnt an ACTUAL actor, singer or athlete and you wont get attention just because you're hot either, i mean people will probs treat you better and you'll get hit on more (obvs) but no ones crowding around you, or sticking aronud after class to see you leave or whatever XD
at least this is the world i live in XD maybe i just never had a hot boss lol that all my coworkers secretly worship idk XD ( i guess when i was in school, if there was a good-looking teacher, the girls would maybs gossip about him and try to look nicer lol... thats all i can think of)

lol, you're comment made me laugh. but apparently another user says the synopsis is wrong and the ML is a poor orphan, and only one of the side characters are like super rich XD so i guess the story isnt really about that. no need to be #triggered anymore lol. might actually be a good show....hahah

i know...... it made me rethink my life. like do i really starve thru breakfast time and eat the same ramen everyday at like 3pm? everyone in this house has like 3 course meals every couple hours thanks to shun and the house owner XD i didnt know so much diferent food existed XD

its funny you say that cause i kind of took the "what a woman is supposed to do" as the opposite. like she's supposed to stay in one place in tokyo and look after the kid while he goes off and has fun around the country and she only sees him like twice a year, as opposed to her joining him on occasions and making her own business trips. haha
eh, triggered people might not be able to see criticism on shows they like, but id like to think most are mature enough to not mind hahaa. i try not to totally trash shows i hate, but sometimes i just can't help it haha. other times if a bad show is really popular, i might not say anything too harsh but then give it 1 star just for peace of mind hahaa

how is a teacher supposed to look after like 30 kids all at once. theres no way peopple like that girl won't go overlooked. for subjects, its whatever, at least the homeroom teacher tho, their main job is to make sure the kids are coping

kind of get what you're saying. i liked seeing them happy at the end, and i think it was a bit "different" and modern imo, cause shun is still travelling around the country, which is why that guy didnt even think he was married, cause he's still living his dream while supporting his family wich i couldnt imagine most families would be happy with, and we can see kurimi has brought their kid to meet him, im guessing they stay in tokyo or wherver theyre living, but you're right about kurumi getting a vague ending. i mean we can assume she's doing what she wants cause its left open, but it would be nice to also have her 10 seconds of "this is what i do" type thing, instead of her just appearing with a kid, hahahaa. but still, all happy vibes at hte end so it didnt bug me. my own interpretation, she lives in tokyo with the kid and runs her business, shun and her try hard to meet all the time, either he makes stops in tokyo frequently, or she goes out to meet him wherever he is. honestly that seems extremely hard to do, but this show is about chasing sort of impossible-type dreams and going against the grain, so i guess it can work. plus kurumi would need to travel alot anyway looking for new things to sell

i was seriously jealous of all the food they made lol. wish i could try all of it XD spain food looks so delicious hahha i guess i need a shun living in my house too XD

honestly, xiao bao and the princess look good togeher cause they both have that mystical elf vibe ahhahaha. they both have the long hair with intricate braids and stuff and then xiao bao looks like a an elf that lives in the forest with a bow and arrow and the princess...w ell she looks like a true princess elf hahaha. they both look straight out of a fantasy book haha

sometimes i think about if this had been 16 eps, it couldve been something so amazing. like till this day i dont know why they dragged the story out so much and added so much filler?
its a shame. i just wanna take premier pro and chop out all the unimportant stuff lol

SPOILERS: they kiss twice. once for a secret mission, once right at the very end when they "get together" this drama really doesnt have much romance, like it probs takes up maybe half an hour in total out of 30hrs of film, its really not that important in the plot, specaially as the fl kind of disappears near the ending episodes. so yeah, if youre not into romance, i think this drama would suit

yes. because he doesnt actually believe in a completely minimal life to the point of cutting everything out. that's too extreme, his principles that he tells others is good, but the way he executes them is too extreme. plus he admitted himself he was unhappy. he couldnt work with other people, not cause he wanted to be alone ad liked it like that, but because he was too scared to even look at them. he actually is a very ambitious person, his lax attitude to his cooking and foodtruck was as he said, him not wanting to get hurt again if he failed.
i think ultimately he learnt how to not be such a perfectionist and take criticism so heavily with his "minimalist" lifetsyle, but its quite obvious the "eager chef" is actually more like his real self. even till the end of the show, when everything is better and healed, he has a family, but is still excitedly driving around the country trying new ingredients.
i wonder if that was the reason mashiba's enthusiam irritated himself so much in teh earlier episodes. because it was liking looking into a mirror of his former self, and someone he thought he could never be again.

omg, i replayed his scenes a 1000 times. especially when he hides under the table XD he's so distracting lol

right! i hate when production teams dont do what everyones been rooting for and what's kind of considered "obvious". i mean, plottwists done well are great, where there are slight hints and its been planned for along time, but the sudden change of their relationship and all the past hints were all leading up to them eventually being together. i can tell that haneul falling for someone else was only written in that season. that's not an epic plottwist tho, that's just jarring and unnatural for the viewers. i also lowkey shipped evil kim hanna and min from a-teen, they were kind of meant to be like the antagonists that learnt from their wrongs and lowkey used eachother but kind of developed feelings as well and then would become better people together, but in season 2 that completely changed.... i mean they were meant to be best friends, but in season 2 the writers made hanna not even care for him as a friend lol. also she always blamed him for being a bad guy like they weren't partners in crime in season 1 lol. then when he shared his worries about being shipped off overseas by his mom she was just like "Lol, bon voyage, have fun". their relationship was completely different. i was so triggered hahaa.so i get what you mean like in vampire diaries hahaha. why? why do they do this XD

i love jdramas. they dont give af about making a drama longer for money XD its so refreshing, almost annoying. their previews are so short. they put important scenes under credits XD its a weird thing to say but i really enjoy the integrity jdramas are put togteher with. even the "hidden scenes" aare so hidden, its like only people who watch closely will catch the extra endings. i literally didnt know there were extra scenes at the end till ep 6 and had to go back and watch them XD hahaah

omg lol same, thats why christmas guy almost hurts my heart a little because i like him so much, but i still want haneul end game. i really feell ike haneul's new gf came out fo the blue. like i dont buy that he actually likes her or something?????? you cant be that in love with your friend and then suddenly move on like thaat i dunno XD ive always seen them as extremeeeeeeeee slowburn. which tbh is the only way good friends would ever be able to become a couple anyway. well i dont know. i dont know what to do with haneul, but id be fine with peurem x christmas guy lol. playlist always randomly changes couples, honestly still cant really believe they shut down haneul x pureum like that haha.
