First half review:

love the storytelling. usually im so bored with uni dramas, this one is interesting and different. love the ost too. cdramas rarely care about bgm, even the really high quality ones. this one is obviously not super high budget but they still care abotu the songs and cinematography, im so impressed and honestly surprised.

finding good quality cdramas is my life goal XD oh the amount of awful idol dramss ive seen. i mean the genre has its own charm, and its not like all of them are bad or lack enthusiasm, but its true some just have no soul. idol dramas do surprise me sometimes lol. like "wow, i did not expect to be so into this XD"

true. i just watched the kdrama "run on" and i loved it so much because the leads were normal people. funny that a drama's charm can be how ordinary it is. viewers are sick of the perfect unrealistic prince type character. i want to see stories of the average person, theyre far more interesting to watch and far more relatable, and amazing acting beats a perfect face any day.

i laughed more than i shouldve XD but once you watcch so much cdrama you just eventually become numb to the fl lol. ive seen like 1 cdrama out of 300 where i genuinely liked the fl.... but actually describing her like that in the synopsis... warning bells haha

nanxi's child actor with his big curious eyes and studious bowl cut played and looked the part perfectly. his facial expressions were pretty incredible for a young actor.

bruh. same. i dont even know how but ive somehow watched like everything he's in LOL. im usually the type to avoid dramas with actors i know as their original characters stick in my mind too much.... but with him, he makes me totally forget his past characters each time. hes a great actor and i love his microexpressions and youre right, so versatile, all his characters are so different. i adored him life of the white fox and suyu (that drama really is so freaking funny) and illl probably stumble into his next drama too XD he never dissapoints

really liked the first half of this show. the ml character is super new and refreshing. loved watching him develop connections with people, become braver, overcome his difficulties. the second part of the show followed the usual university life cdrama, but there was no typical drama and the couple werent breaking up every 5 seconds so it was also a nice relaxing watch.

OMG. Ive seen that, i didnt even put 2 and 2 together, ohmy god. the only thing is... i hated him in thaat XD

haha yes. he really suits ancient times hahaha. hes also a general in the drama 'a girl like me' actually i was surprised to see him in this show. he plays an interesting character in that show as well (tho hes 2nd ml, sadly haha)

any crown prince fans? im adopting him as of today lol. i find his and lady wu's story the best part of this show. The actor plays him very well and I'm enjoying his character development. oh and his wardrobe is so pretty especially the green one.

omg i love the crown prince. the actor is so perfect for him. his face is so delicate and gentleman-like. his whole aura is perfectly scholarly and prince-like. he plays it so well *cries*. im pretty much only watching for him hahahahha

you can try we got married (its korean) its a bit cringey cause the show is about simulating a marriage rather than them having a purpose to work together, but its still pretty similiar. I'd recommend the joy and sungjae couple as they were the funniest and most loved. lol XD

you might be aware already, but just watched the finale on wetv with subs. dont know when it appeared but its there now XD

ahaha yes he did enjoy some parts of it, i could just tell he was way out of his comfort zone sometimesXD but yeah, i didnt mean like hate hate, but as in like, he could die of embarrasment at any second and he doesnt know why hes there (someone save him) type of feeling haha XD

im sorry but HMH hating every second of the ending awards ceremony is so freaking funny XD someone save him. he really does not like embarrassing, cringey things LOL, if you want to be entertained, just watch his face throughout the event.

yeah same, i hate when all the villagers praise the ml like some god when its not really true, but in this show, the ml really look ethereal, always wearing white, not saying much, keeping a calm exterior at all times, everything he does is very elegant, other-wordly, for once i actually agree with those village people making a celebrity out of the ml XXD

yes so true. also i dont know if this is my imagination because i cannot recall when he said it, but i swear in one episode he said "i dont like sweet things" lol, but he still ate that much cake haha. i could totally be making that up tho XD

yes. i think he's got it right, too. the reality is you cant please everyone, not everyone is going to like you. All your efforts will just exhaust you. It's better to spend all your energy on people who really care about you and who you really care about. HMH definitely does not people-please XD its kind of hilarious actually. everytime someone would make a joke he doesnt understand, he'd just stare at them lol.

(you know with this tho, YCY always calls him a "typical straight man", i think through the series she also taught him to be a little more generous with reactions so that the other person doesnt feel uncomfortable. its nice to be yourself, but you shoudlnt just completely ignore how the other person is feeling.)

anyway, i think they learn alot from each other XD
