omg. the best scecne in this whole show is when ping an tells the demon catcher that his demonic fanny pack is ugly af, and he realises she's able to see it too XD he's found his new wifey LOL he is such a cutie. actually all the characters are adorable. i will root for this ship in S2
LOLL, totally agree, it was somehow sped-up and awfully draggy all at the same time. i dont even know how they did that, but if i can sugest a hypothesis: they made every character fall in love instantly for no reason, and into desperate "i can kill myself for you" love too. they pretty much skipped any scene of bonding between couples. It always felt like we were getting time-skipped over and over. it's like if a couple's romance was cut into two piles: the interesting important parts, and the boring mundane parts, and they threw away the wrong pile and used the other one by accident for the script. no lie, that's what it felt like. On the otherhand it was draggy af cause we got 58 episodes of servants talking to each and relaying messages, even tho everyones a god and they could just poof over to whereever (but the "magic" in this show was so inconsistent that i stopped trying to make sense of it) and the same rehashing of conflicts caused by either miscommunications, bitches that just wont die, or dem hoes who wont STOP going after the oh-so-majestic princes of their land lol. oh also the plot never, ever moved because the female leads were dumb af with 0 personality and IQs of -50 and never asked questions, believed every word they said and thouht up of weird logical conclusions to add ~drama~ to the plot, when any normal person would'nt have thought that way. anyway, this is how i conlude that it was equally fast-paced and grass-growing slow at the same time XD thanks for your review. it made me laugh because i just finished this show and most people love it and i dont know how to feel about that.......
I don't understand this Drama at all. No one in the entire show is likeable. Maybe the supreme god. Things just…
i didn't really like any of the characters either... except maybe the male lead? i dont think there was one female character that was written well though
starts reading synopsis: "story about saving a zoo with a lawyer-" aw, is this gonna be like that cute movie, We Bought a Zoo, where the couple falls in love while saving the zoo and it has all the feels and love- "the employees pretend to be animals in place of the ones sold off" WTH HAHAHAHAHA. um what.
WHAT i thought this was a movie. OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG i am sooooooooo hyped for this. wtfrickkkkkk, i cant believe it's a drama. what was i on when i read it as a movie
at ep 25 and the plot is kind of spiralling down into more and more nonsense. can anyone tell me if this is just the "inevitable dragging" that comes in the middle of a long series and it'll get better or does it stay like this for the rest of the show? i really dont wanna drop it because this series is always talked about so much
I've only watched him in novoland and he was great there as well.. i was really affected by the ending and avoided…
LOL i do that too. actually why ive been avoiding his stuff for a while lol. well Evolution of our Love was really good (bit draggy but still good) so i reccomed it if you like him and are into romcom/melo type of stuff. i fell in love with his character in it LOL
Agreed. He's one of the actors from China that I enjoy watching. Not the most handsome, but his acting is always…
totally agree. sometimes im such trash for the idol-looking actors that i turn a blind eye to bad/standard acting, but then i see people who can actually act and i wonder why i ever let it go. ZRY doesn't need an "unrealistic face" because he has charisma for literal DAYYYYYYS. I love his acting, and he really is so versatile. I last saw him in Evolution of our Love as the jaded-with-life dentist stuck in the friendzone for 20 yrs, so when i watched this trailer and saw him all happy-go-lucky like he LIVES that life every day, my brain was so confused XD never seen an interview of his so i have no idea which extreme he's more like in real life, but im totally impressed.
Well, while I was willing and ready to accept the change from Arthur Chen to Dylan Wang as Ning Que for season…
OMG totally agree. like i dont even understand why this is a THING, i see it too often, changing wholeass MAIN characters, heck even the LEAD um what..... I hate it, there's no respect for the story, especially if it's just for "scheduling conflicts" (like, what does that even MEAN, s2 didn't just manifest suddenly after they finished filming s1 and everyone was like, oh shit. a s2, what ever will we do ). II mean, if you care about making a legendary show and characters for people to follow and obsess over and dream about and root for through each season and follow their journey, then you wouldn't replace anyone no matter how much money you were losing or whatever. anyone who truly cares about their project wouldn't want to do that. ugh, dissapointmennt. I'm also mad because despite seeing the improvement needed in his acting, i quite like Dylan Wang's charisma in meteor garden and could see his potential. I was genuinely looking forward to seeing what he does next and how he grows as an actor and it just annoys me that only in this circumstance can i see that. GRRR. please china stop doing this, so unprofessional. istg, they're 100% gonna replace the main lead in fight break sphere for s2 and if that happens im not even watching it haha
"it is along with love020, the worst dramas ive seen" i choked on my cereal XD totally agree. theyre both so highly rated and overhyped but i found them both horrible. i literally dont understand XD
I want more series like this...happy amd true....❤
totally. Love these types of shows, I found My Girlfriend and Put Your Head on my Shoulder had that simliar sweet vibe, also the korean drama My First First Love
will never get over the fake "wow it's so delicious" cdramas do when they eat butterless toast with just the tinest amount of jam on it XD it's like... is it really delicious? XD
I'm on episode 11 and I can't seem to stand Jin Mi's character... she's just way too air-headed and immature to…
i know it's her circumstances that pretty much makes her a "blank slate" personality wise, but it's kind of exhausting having a 60 ep drama centred around a character with 0 personality XD like who are you? Why should i root for you? what do you value? what makes you angry? what are your bottom lines? what can't you give up? what do you love, what do you hate? there's no answer to any of these questions and it feels so mary-sue like. Her only characteristic is "nice" but there's no depth. I get the point that she's meant to develop but i feel like it happens too late in the series and also what she develops into ends up lacking definition and logic. They wrote it too vaguely. I guess the reason they make vague characters like this is so you can imagine yourself as them. personally, im not a fan of this kind of storytelling, however.
loved that they paired up the straightforward and cute handmaid and the slightly immature but also very cute youngest brother. they're adorable. they're the youngest characters which made their love story super cute. Also loved how they gave poor second brother a proper love interest as well instead of him just having unrequited love with the main character. He could never be himself around anyone, even with the FL, but with that parrot tribe girl he could always relax and be himself and laugh and their strong personalities match well with each other. She was great.
could someonen who's chinese please tell me if the husband is actually using smart vocaulary and knew all those characters in that one game or if it's the opposite and he's speaking really plainly like an idiot. because the characters are always like "he's such a scholar. he's a walking dictionary etc." and i cant tell whether they're being sarcastic or are generally impressed he's still kept his scholar vocabulary despite being an idiot HAHAH. id really like to know haha
anyone who truly cares about their project wouldn't want to do that. ugh, dissapointmennt. I'm also mad because despite seeing the improvement needed in his acting, i quite like Dylan Wang's charisma in meteor garden and could see his potential.
