But i found that ep 9 has bad subs on their app, so maybe they wait when someone write right one
oh, does their app also have eng sub? i thought it was only on youtube? well i guess it doesnt matter when theyre not good quality LOL XD
On The Romance of Hua Rong Dec 19, 2019
the way this drama is updated on youtube is so weird. there doesnt seem to be a schedule or something.... or rather, there is one on their app, but the youtube videos with the eng sub aren't following it haha. i guess they didnt anticipate it to be popular internationally. please someone give them the memo so we can get regular subs XD

Just curious, is that a mistake of name on the synopsis or is there a character name Hua Luo, i haven't watched…
yeah its a mistake, the main girls name is hua rong, who escapes the wedding night, like it says in the synposis. theres no one called hua luo XD

Aw that's too bad I'm on ep 2 amd I think this has so much potential. I saw the 2nd lead in the opening and I…
wow, what you said about how a lot of big star actors are just taking any project that is 60 eps and not even caring about whether it's a good production, is so true. I'll see them in one thing, and they'll be great, but then all their other shows will be sooooo bad and draggy and my admiration for them just drops because here i was, originally impressed with how much of an "artist" they were, but these crappy shows that pay-well that they always lean towards kind of prove the actor doesn't care about the stories they're telling or whatever, they just want to make as much as possible. sighhh. it makes me so dissapointed and lowkey mad, but not towards young actors who are just starting out or those with less fame who can't choose the scripts their given, im only talking about big names that have scripts WRITTEN for them, people who have enough prestige and money to pick what they act in, people who have to physcially choose to be in these awful dramas, that's when it's dissapointing and i cant help but side-eyeing them like, really? You're totally right about the smaller producers, the best dramas out right now are those who have a low-budget, small team, and most likely new faces, but are passionate about making a great story.

ive only seen the first ep.... but this is actually.... really great
omg. the "preventing sexual harrasment" club the male workers created is freaking hilarious, especially when she fainted and the one guy caught her but then the other guy was like "NO DONT TOUCH HER" and so he just let her drop to the floor. Also at the end when the 2nd lead (?) turned out to also be an ex-mania, like LOL WUT thats so funny

I think the ending could have been better...I mean she asks him if he got married...no offense, but what does…
yeah, kind of agree with her transformation, lol, but i guess a movie only has so much time, but obviously not enough because i too felt like the ending was rushed, or rather, it was a nice dramatic ending, but the romantic in me wanted to see a little more of them interacting LOL. as for the marraige thing, i think she asked that because of his age, if shes around 27/28 then him being her senior by a couple years means he's probs 31/32. I mean you could argue he's in that inbetween age where asking if he has a gf or ever got married is both normal, but i guess at some stage, it's more common to ask if they're married, especially if you havent seen them in so long XD but this is just my opinion haha

I'M SO IN LOVE WITH YUAN HONG'S ACTING - he and Zhao Zhao Yi have so much chemistry, and there are so many sparks!…
nah i love the costumes, it makes him look so cool and they're really interesting, almost lord-of-the-rings elf-like. ive pretty much screenshot all of his outfits because it's so fascinating to see "ancient chinese" meets "pirate attire" as ive only seen pirates in western shows. Also in love with his acting, he plays the slightly-cold character so charismatically without it being awkward to watch. sometimes when you see the "cold ceo" type, the acting seems a little forced (as who really acts like that in real life?) but yuan hao acts like he lives his life like that XD it's so natural. of course the pirate king is actually quite adorable at times and a little silly, which is why he's such a charming character, while still maintaining the charisma of a leader, and he manages to portray all of these sides so nicely, i love it.

Yes.. my sentiment exactly, FL is typical of C romcom, always shouting to ML, loud and unreasonable, but at least…
ugh, this series despite being lowbudget is so great. love the unique setting, how the main guy isnt the 11th prince or whatever lol, love the pirate gang, and i love the costumers... if only, ugh the FL. whyyyyyyyyy. WHY. shes not even that bad as standard FLs go, she's not intolerable, but it just makes me mad when everything else about the show is so great and then they gave the FL the most default of default personalities. wow.

HDKFKSDJLMC, 60 episodes. cdrama fans go through 3 phases:

1. 60 eps? oh HELL no (avoids for a long time)
2. 60 eps... maybe i should try one... like a nirvana in fire or ashes of love type.... actually this is kind of fun (realises 60 eps isnt that bad, is no longer turned off by the episode count of a drama, watches too many long dramas all at once)
3. (after watching more long dramas and experiencing even more regret) 60 eps? oh HELL no

You return full circle.
BONUS ROUND: "hmm, even tho i hate long dramas, i havent seen one in a while, maybe this one will be good" finishes show. feels regret more powerful then the regret you felt after the previous long drama.

relatively unknown actors + viki/netflix/amazon didn't pick it up, it's not officially on youtube either. definitely…
yeah, the only way to get it onto viki is if people request it using their request forms, of course there needs to be enough interest for them to look into it though, so if other people would like to see this show, please request it on viki!

This is as great as Ateen, maybe even better, it's a bit darker though... ok a lot darker imo LOL, but it gives off the same vibe. cinematography is great, acting is great, dialouge and editing is really nice, OST gives off this eery mystical vibe, probs cause its set in retro times

Title FAILing in Love Spoiler
ngl I don't really want Si Won to end up with either of the male leads. Aside from his serious dependency issues,…
i thought that too till i saw the "twist" at the end. just incase you havent finished it SPOILER:

It seems in the end it was actually siwon and sieun who needed parang, not the other way round LOL. i really like that twist. And it's kind of true when you look back at all the scenes, it was always siwon insisting that he needed to be with someone all the time but he never actually said that. He'd just go along with it because it's true that he likes being around other people (but not that he cant manage without them) and he has a very laidback go-with-the-flow personality (sometimes to the point he can be wishy washy) so he kind of was almost happy to be the support of strong characters like Sieun and siwon. I actually really like parang because he just did his own thing at his own pace, and unlike the other characters, never assumed things about other people, judged them or got into their business and was always open-minded, but he still made sure his friends were ok and looked after them. honestly i think the only reason he has that "useless" vibe about him is cause all his friends keep acting like his parents, when as the ending has revealed, it's actually the other way round.

how sad was it when bai xiao realised everyone including xaio kui thought he'd kill her and that the person she was most afraid of was actually him ( i mean later on you find out she didn't really think that) it really broke my heart, especially when even the love interest who's supposed to hate xiao kui wouldn't tell him where she was incase he hurt her. you could tell he felt so betrayed but couldn't even be mad, because he really DID try to kill her in the beginning.
On The Life of the White Fox Dec 11, 2019
ugh, the dialogue in this show is actually so pretty and philosophical, and the characters are really interesting with a lot of complex sides. ive never watched a cdrama before where i like all the characters, despite which side of good or bad (or in the grey area) they're on. Super impressed with the final fight scene too, and a lot of the directing and editing and cinematogrpahy is really. really good. damn, i almost wish they had had a higher budget to get some real A class SFX, but they've really done well with their resources. I love this show. cant wait for S2. loved the dad too XD so freaking hilarious
