the ost ‘love catastrophe’ is one of the hauntingly OSTs ever exist thanks to this drama. it’s my heartbreak…
What’s interesting about this song is that it wasn’t a song specifically written for the show. It already existed and on fan’s recommendations of the song, the show purchased it.

August/September would be ideal but there’s a lot of dramas vying for airtime. I’ve seen a lot of melons saying that the summer vacation slot is really popular.
They did this type of thing with there other dramas to but they didn't totally ignore them they are giving time…
Promo materials normally depend on the production company, not the platform. LaC hasn’t released much. I think they may be waiting for the broadcast. Stills and posters usually depend on reaching milestones. The OST is not usually released until very close to the broadcast time.
Now it's already August so they moved it again for October/November release. They're killing the hype with the…
I saw September, October, and November this morning😩 I understood why they moved it out during the early summer (there were too many of the same type of dramas) but I don’t quite get why they didn’t just pick an autumn date from then on rather than move it around.

From the FL’s name, I think we’re talking about the same book. I think based on her own looks and acting skills, she could definitely play the character but I’d be worried about the level of the script, direction, and production. I think if she continues to act in costume dramas, they need to be closer to serious costume dramas rather than pure idols. They should be like Goodbye My Princess and blur the boundaries between the two genres and have the complexity to showcase her talent. But the current ancient idol environment seems to really be struggling in this regard imo. At the very least she needs a capable styling/costume design team and a director that can really capture the power of her eyes and richness of her expression.
I am gunning for her to play Shen Miao. I think she would be perfect as Shen Miao as the novel often describes…
From the Poison Queen? She used to be recommended a lot. Based on that description, I can see why-her eyes are so beautiful and can really talk. I think that will probably be given to an actress born in the 2000s though.
She looks so gorgeous in the photo. 🥰 why did the studio hide this set until now? 😒
I always feel when things go completely silent like this, it’s because she’s not well. She’s been ill quite a few times in the last few years so I hope if she is or was sick that she is feeling better now.
same here.even though i miss ren jialun's acting and i'm curious about peng xiaoran's acting but i'm sick with…
For RoaTF, a lot of the scenes with good chemistry are in the tidbits. They’re strangely not in the actual show. It also feels like the scenes with good chemistry were shot differently from the rest of the show. I don’t know who directed them, whether it was the lead director or an assistant director, but some scenes have completely different visuals, atmosphere, and acting. That said, I’m not a good judge for RoaTF’s chemistry because I’m a fan of the original novel and Jiman doesn’t really seem to like Ning Yuxuan until the end. In fact, I don’t care about the romance at all😂The change in the drama to mostly romance with Jiman in love first was actually weird because a lot of people seem to like the book because of Jiman scheming and fighting to survive, not because of the main couple’s relationship. Ning Yuxuan is also big scumbag in the book so it’s actually refreshing to see a FL not fall for the ML until he becomes a better person.
The costumes for the female characters are outrageous. I can’t believe the costume designer for the show is a pretty famous one in the industry. I’d be ashamed to release that quality of work. Xiao Ran was also really thin when she shot RoaTF (probably because she got criticised for being fat when she shot Jun Jiu Ling with the same director). I would argue she was too thin but she shot to Our Dreamland of Ice right after RoaTF and is absolutely beautiful and can pass for 18 year old, which the same age as Jiman:
Unshakable Faith might take getting use to. It’s really different to an idol drama. It has chemistry but it doesn’t have any romantic plot lines between the main leads. Any romance will be really really subtle and it’s not the standard strong man/weak woman combo seen in most romances. It’s a strong woman/weak male combo.

It is gorgeous. It’ll be worth the wait if it’s as beautiful as the mermaid set.🥹 I hope she can ignore fans though and just go back to posting what she wants rather than trying to follow the mercurial tastes of the criticising fans. Doting fans won’t care. We will be happy as long as she posts😂

Unshakable Faith is really fun. So much of the show is trying to figure out who is a spy😂 It’s also good if you like strong female characters. Pang Hongmei is absolutely no nonsense.
The plot is simple in RoaTF and there’s some bits that could be better but I think it’s a really good easy watch and I like the messaging of mutual achievement, love not being the end all of things and that relationships take work. There’s mixed views on the chemistry but I think it’s okay. The editor seemed to have cut out most of the more chemistry filled scenes so it’s not very passionate but it can be sweet.

There’s this cameo appearance if you’re curious about Peng Xiao Ran’s acting. It was filmed right before shooting Love and Crown so should be a good indication of her level at the time: https://m.weibo.cn/detail/5078251756066230
There’s also Goodbye My Princess. It might be worth a watch while waiting for this show. It’s the closest in tone to Love and Crown mostly because it’s also a non-fairytale ancient idol drama.
Honestly, the wrap-up video was good enough; you can start there.
This. Depending on what they want to show, there’s actually a lot of official content. I’ve got at least 3 or 4 sources for the edit I was going to do and I got it all off the official site.
The users who posted the video though some overseas fans don’t ask before posting. It’s considered courteous but There’s a chance they may not notice or care. Someone took my edit without credit 2 years ago and I just found out the other day😂
I saw Love and Crown as an August/September release from one melon owner.
If they were really worried, they’d be doing data or promo work. One of the Sisters Who Makes Waves contestants said they joined the show because their data stats weren’t good enough so I guess it counts. Some of the biggest complainers don’t do either so I just ignore them🤣

Probably😭. There’s not much news on what’s next but I guess she’s still reading the script and it will take time to make arrangements even if she has chosen a drama. I just hope fans can stay chill while she decides and don’t start attacking her or taking their frustrations out on her posts (which ruins the atmosphere so much🙂↕️).Things have gotten better over the years but every now and then a troublemaker shows up spouting nonsense.

I hope it airs in Oct/Nov. I feel like if ToDR airs around Halloween, it will be just the right atmosphere. Only problem is that if L&C and ToDR air back to back, Xiao Ran won’t have much stock left😭.
