There's no itinerary for this month? 🤔 I hope she can join a new group soon. 🙏
Yeah there is. She’s got a fashion event at the end of the month. She’s currently traveling in (Tanzania I think). More than likely she took the time off to account for SWMW.
reading the comments makes me feel as if my taste in cdramas are bad 😭😭 I'm enjoying this and tbh i kinda…
Tbh, I don’t get all the negativity either. Other than the director isn’t always so great at filming people, I think it’s pretty good. It has a rare dark feeling without being overbearing or trying to force it. The story is interesting with a lot of components. There’s world building. It’s full of beauties. And the memory loss arc is an interesting switch up from the trope. I’m behind because of work but I intend to catch this weekend.
Ah, I forgot not everyone is on Weibo. Jialan’s initial promo shots/video have a different feel than what was shown in Jiu Huo’s memories. For example when holding the dragon’s core, the expression is completely different. Peng Xiao Ran has pretty tight control when it comes to expressions so if the feeling is different, then I feel there must be a reason. And Jialan herself doesn’t seem that affectionate in her child forms. I haven’t watched the latest episodes tho so maybe I’m wrong.
Still loving it. People are complaining about the lost memory arc but it’s so exciting to me. Jiu Hou has a good aura as an overbearing and powerful demon lord😩🙌. And Huaizhu being possessed is dreamgirl material🥹. The tension ramped up so suddenly I actually sat up😂
PS - does anyone else think the adult Jialan in Jiu Huo’s memories might be different from the real Jialan?🤔
If you followed the filming in real time, you’ll remember how much Peng Xiao Ran (Miss Qi) struggled with the FoF dance. She was even sent for remedial classes.🤣 Well she joined a singing/dancing competition recently and it seems she’s improved a lot. Maybe GJM can build a FoF idol group after all😂: https://youtu.be/9VdUArwwV8U
Plasticity. Her looks and aura can easily be changed with makeup/styling. She gets criticised for it but I think this an advantage. It’s like meeting a new person in every drama so watching her always feels fresh.
Can’t wait for this. Coming from Love in Pavilion and Xiao Ran is great as the villain, Jialan. She’s actually able to show the strength and force of a spell and it looks 100% natural as if she’s casting magic for real.
Peng Xiao Ran is eating the role of Jialan up! I could sense the power of her spells from how well she performed. Jialan is strong af. RIP that dragon tho😂😭
It is dark. I'm glad I'm not alone thinking that. I'm watching Story of Yanxi Palace and Perfect Match. I might…
I don’t mind the darkness. It’s actually rare to get this flavour in Cdramas with all the censorship. I’m really enjoying the double-sided nature of some of the characters and actually find it fascinating how effortlessly dark and cruel this show is without going for a true dark aesthetic but I can understand why it’s not for everyone.
I feel like this is the darkest drama I’ve seen in a very long time. I think it’s done a good job of showing the urgency and difficulty of the situation as well as the harshness of the world. I also like how there seems to be multiple sides to characters without wasting episodes to show it.
