Probably😭. There’s not much news on what’s next but I guess she’s still reading the script and it will take time to make arrangements even if she has chosen a drama. I just hope fans can stay chill while she decides and don’t start attacking her or taking their frustrations out on her posts (which ruins the atmosphere so much🙂‍↕️).Things have gotten better over the years but every now and then a troublemaker shows up spouting nonsense.

I hope it airs in Oct/Nov. I feel like if ToDR airs around Halloween, it will be just the right atmosphere. Only problem is that if L&C and ToDR air back to back, Xiao Ran won’t have much stock left😭.

Actually many overseas viewers are aware of censorship in Cdramas, but my comment was more out of genuine curiosity/observation rather than scapegoating. It’s really interesting to see how directors work around the censorship rules- many like the director for this show have really creative ideas. I’ve seen a few comments from viewers mentioning how it feels scary (probably due to the horror vibe) which is a bit fascinating.

Nah, they’re definitely not mythical. I’ve seen shows get gutted by them but maybe that’s because I watch idol dramas which have a different audience base🤔 But it’s not just the crime that makes me wonder about the censorship but the level of violence and blatant drug usage. Usually that gets cut. I’m also intrigued by the grey character of Liu Shao Hua. Normally villains aren’t this grey in Cdramas.

Lol, I really like it this show. It’s really got an interesting flavour-especially how the drug trade scenes often have a horror vibe. Feel like this is how it got past the censors- it makes getting involved in drugs look so scary😂

Really enjoying it so far. There’s very few dull moments although I’m not sure why people think it’s hard to follow. The main character is essentially the narcotics trade- it’s the golden thread connecting both sides

A fan of the show uploaded a clip to YouTube but I think that version only existed on Viki. I remember having to buy a membership to watch it. To this day I don’t understand why showrunners decided on such an awkward ending after dozens of episodes showing JJL and ZZ as a couple.

Not romantically. There were one-sided feelings in the book but it’s a platonic relationship in the end. The drama might not even have this and they are both paired with others.

I started rewatching and Yezi is really cute. It’s such a shame that the editing butchered her character. She’s so likeable. 🥹
