Never said those who dislike GBMP weren’t valid. They definitely are and so are their opinions. GBMP is not a show for everyone and that’s okay. I was offering supplementary information because knowledge of corruption character arcs, how they work, and how they play into tragedy is uncommon.

Tbh, it’s weird that it’s trying to market itself like this. The book isn’t this vibe at all. Xiao Huan is one of the most doting MLs I’ve seen in Cnovel and Cangcang is a pretty proactive heroine. If a dude abuses her, she’ll more than likely be fighting.

It’s because it isn’t a character development type story. It’s a true tragedy/corruption story in that the characters never overcome their flaws until it’s too late. In this type of story, the flaws will only become more entrenched or worse. And this is what sets GBMP apart from a lot of other idols with tragedies- even resetting the game couldn’t change the outcome. The “fatal flaw” still reared its head.

Not quite like either of them. Xiao Huan is way more green flag and Cangcang has more temper than Xiao Feng. The ML also treats the FL poorly in both of the shows mentioned but that shouldn’t be the case for this show.

A green flag is a person full of positive traits who displays healthy behaviour. The type of ML you described is usually a red flag. The FL maybe either but usually naive innocent types lean towards green flags.
And if you like this type you may want to check out Love and Crown which has PXR in it too and looks like a rollercoaster.

I like red flag female characters. They’re actually my favourite type and sometimes I will watch a show just because of a red flag female character. And a lot of my favourite Cdrama actresses became my favourites because they played a red flag role. I really do love bad girls the most😂.
I’m okay on red flag male characters too most of the time (as long they’re not bad or terrorising female characters) but I don’t have many favourites .
I used to be into green flag couples but now I’m good with team red flag couples too as long as both parties are red flag. It’s more interesting.

From what I’ve heard of the plot, neither side is completely innocent in this relationship. If that’s true then I’m looking forward to it. Green flag couples and characters don’t have the same flavour or the same level of ups and downs.

How did this clip lead to the conclusion that FMJ is suddenly doing all the bad things? We don’t even know the plot or the script…😂

Honestly, I’m just grateful when people share. I don’t have requirements of them. If there’s content I really want to see, I find it myself in most cases.

Fans may only see their faves depending on how they’ve come across content even if the official page has others. It’s good of you to post the other cast members but I don’t think fans should be chastised, especially if we don’t know how they engage in content. Sharing in itself is a courtesy. If people feel afraid to post because they’re afraid they’re not seen as a “team player”, there will be even less shared.

It’s been pretty much up to each fanbase to post because only the fans know what is allowed to be shared outside of the official channels when it comes to leaks and/or paying close enough attention. In some cases, they might only see the content of the person they fave but if they come across content from other members of the cast, they usually will post at least a link like can be seen below.

It’s less about bad character and more about a reaction to trauma/ misunderstanding and thinking Yunya was involved the death of her people.

I think a Chinese fan said it was demonic possession. This cut seems a bit shorter than the other cuts which show FMJ appearing to be fighting something before coming to.

It would be interesting if they did, especially if the dark yet pure flavour behind the couple could be recreated. Very few Cdramas have such a clearly dark aesthetic and the two fit GJM’s gloominess without being devoured by it. It gave the feeling of watching a live action version of old-school Clamp.
