I can understand wanting the best but negative vibes donāt bring customers eitherš Anyway no poster can be worse than Huamei and that show tore up the TV ratings. Even some big name stars couldnāt beat its numbers for over a year.

Positive vibes. Some of those dramas are new and some have released only posters in the past too. And thereās multiple promotional events throughout the year. This isnāt the only one.
Seems so. Tbh, I didnāt really think they were going to hold one anyway. The planning didnāt make sense. Resurrection matches usually occur towards the end of a competition, not the middle. It just seemed to be another hype tool.
A lot of fans are asking her not to go. Iāll support whatever she decides but I feel itās not wise to go unless…
š¤ As fans thatās all we can do. If we look on the bright side, even if it abused fans to near deathš, she gained quite a bit of fans considering her airtime, revitalised her image as a beauty, and brought some spotlight back to herself, so itās not a complete loss to do the first round. If she does go, I hope she can reap better benefit from it- at the very least, that she can have fun.
Xiao Feng isnāt everyoneās cup of tea, and not everyone likes heroines of her type (and thatās okay because…
No worries. No offence taken. Some people do see her as a ātroublemakerā but I think thatās part of her charm-that she doesnāt become an entirely obedient wife. Most of the trouble is for Li Chengyin who isnāt a great husband š and most of the showās obedient wives donāt have a good life/endš. She accepts the marriage after the talk with the Queen Dowager even though she doesnāt want to because of her responsibility to Xizhou, and this brings peace to the region. As for the cluelessness, I guess it depends on perspective. Sheās only 16 when she enters the palace (younger than LCY and Sese), isnāt familiar with its structure or culture, and Li Chengyin keeps intercepting so she doesnāt really get a chance to palace fight properly but I think she has her moments and I think her style would never be the attacking kind, especially to other women. I also read somewhere that the show also apparently cut a scene from the script where she does explicitly state she needs to think about the palace environment more. Anyway, I hope you can enjoy the rest of the show (although itās perfectly fine if you donāt. This show has a kinda love it or hate it reputation anyway š). Thank you for the convo. āŗļø
Just got to put this out there because I think itās causing confusion - Goodbye, My Princess is ultimately a story about flaws. Exploring these flaws rather than growing from them is at the heart of this drama. Itās not a show to watch for positive growth because there isnāt any in most of the main cast (which can be jarring or unpleasant for some viewers and thatās okay). Rather this a show to watch if you love train wrecks because everyone is hurtling towards the tragedy.
why does the writer have to make the female lead so dumb? honestly, being carefree, innocent and losing memory…
Xiao Feng isnāt everyoneās cup of tea, and not everyone likes heroines of her type (and thatās okay because everyone has different preferences) but she isnāt dumb or brainless. She notices the issue with the counterfeit coins when no else does. And she outsmarts Li Chengyin in the end and brings about peace to the two countries on her own terms-which ends up being a form of revenge against Li Chengyin because he ultimately doesnāt get what he wants most. Her character is meant to be someone āunspoiledā by the machinations of the East Palace as a foil to Li Chengyin who gets consumed by it. And her character is not a positive growth type character. Both she and the ML are characters with corruption arcs/static characters in terms of their fatal flaws. Rather than growth, both characters transform. The spirit of Xiao Feng in the beginning of the show and the spirit of Xiao Feng by the end of the show are completely different.
It seems there will be a resurrection segment for ä¹é£2025 and she has a chance to return to the show. I prefer…
