Editing. I was always taught the editor is sometimes more important than the director. If the director’s level isn’t terrible, the editor can rearrange storylines or even create them, create atmosphere, and set the pace of the drama. It gets ignored on MDL for some strange reason but editing can really make or break a drama. Especially in the case like this one where the content was already filmed.

It might. it depends on how Youku treats the situation. Some platforms will bring up a show if the previous one broadcasts well to catch the heat and others will postpone a show to use the popularity of the previous show to build more hype.
