Many people have changed their mind about her though, which is better than yesterday. Many artists in this situation never get to recover their reputation but she has. Also, some of the bad comments are written by professionally hired trolls.

It’s really upsetting. I can live with no screentime but today’s hot search was too much.

I just rewatched it and I think it’s hard to beat. This show really built a world for viewers to get lost in and created characters that almost felt real. The acting is so good between the leads and the entire cast delivers a good performance. It’s also this crazy mix of gorgeous, brutal, romantic, political, funny , serious, intense, and tragic-and somehow turns all these ingredients into a satisfying dish that lingers in the mouth for a long time. I haven’t found a show quite like it that can check so many boxes.

In terms of world building, good costuming, decent OST, tragedy, and a dark aesthetic, I’d suggest Fangs of Fortune. Peng Xiao Ran even makes a cameo in it and her acting is great. Her storyline is also pretty tragic too.

I ended up watching it in pure Chinese but thank you for sharing this information with me. I appreciate it☺️ Now, I can watch with subtitles going forward.

I REALLY hope this show lets the cast members who are good at dubbing, self-dub. Peng Xiao Ran did an on the spot dubbing for two characters in Dark River and it sounds amazing. I can’t wait to hear her Feng Miaojun:
