The waist cincher/ belts are driving me crazy. They are not in the right place , making waists look wide, which is the opposite of their functionđââïžI donât pay much attention to BHH but I think her outfits look too costumy too. Costumes shouldnât really look like costumes. They should look like real clothing otherwise a crucial element for world building has been missed. I think (rich) Huang Wei would have given a better effect if the show wanted fantasy elements.

Her menâs costumes generally have a higher lower limit and there usually no big problems with her armor. But sheâs strange in that she doesnât seem to understand in either Chinese or Western clothing how to translate her vision for ecletism, color, and experimentation into costumes that feel fresh or ârealâ. It seems she want to follow western silhouettes for AHZ female roles, specifically western superhero and fantasy costumes, but she doesnt seem to understand the charm points or structure enough to pick and choose or convey it. In AHZ the bodices and waist cincher arenât tailored or structured well enough and the fabrics for the female characters donât feel high quality enough to give the costume grounding.

While watching the anime, I got the impression his strongest relationship is with SMY but they feel like brothers- itâs completely platonic. MYM has a little sister vibe with both of them too but though itâs more distant, SCH actions and sometimes his words say thereâs interest romantically. My thought while watching was if and when things calm down in his life, it seems like SCH might pursue MYM.
