Thank you for sharing! It's happy to see both of them being far ahead of any other Thai actors (BL or non-BL)
I am perfectly happy with their position. Korean and Chinese drama have always dominated MDL, and it's close to impossible for Thai drama and actors to reach the top because of that.
As long as their support remain steady, that's good enough.
It's expected. There are some who will find opportunity to drop some negative comments here when the opportunity arises like for example in this EP 9. This didn't happen earlier as the opportunities simply were very hard to find between EP 5 and EP 8.
It's not that Bad Buddy cannot have negative comments, and we know it has flaws. But when those comments came in and did not make sense (or no valid justification), then I question the intention of the commenters. Remember the earliest days of Bad Buddy?
I love that it tends to resolve conflicts (big or small) in every episode. choosing not to fight each other and…
Thank you for listing and detailing all that. I agree with you wholeheartedly.
In just 12 episodes, you can't be going on and on with a particular conflict, or else, in the end everything will be rushed. The pacing so far is just nice!
I have to disagree with most of you and say this recent ep was all over the place. All the problems and tension…
It's ok to disagree. But actually the tension in this episode has been simmering for the past few episodes if you notice carefully. It's not just in this episode that the tensions appear suddenly from nowhere.
And I think regarding Wai's actions, it was already mentioned quite a lot by me and others below in earlier comments. His redemption arc is indeed a bit short, but you have to understand that unless Bad Buddy spans 16 episodes or so, there isn't enough time to resolve the drama and others that are still outstanding (parents etc.). To me at least, them not making unnecessarily long drama out of Wai's action is in fact a plus in a way.
And I think if you understand Pat's character and Wai's character better (I have written earlier on these under spoilers - you can scroll down to look for them), then the ball throwing action made perfect sense.
For the bad actor (I assume you are referring to Chart from EP 7), I think you are confusing him with the rugby player from another university with the gun. They are not the same person.
Regarding the police, I can offer very simple explanations. First, the gun was left behind at the scene, and there might have been cameras that alerted the police to it. As mentioned by Pran, Pat's fingerprints were all over it.
Alternatively, the guy with the gun is obviously someone with connections and likely influence to be able to hold a gun. He must have been terrified that he would be charged with gun possession and assault, and thus tried to blame it on Pat. That is another possible explanation.
Lastly, a person don't just enter a hospital with a gunshot wound, even if grazing without alerting the local authorities. At least that's what I think. Hence, I'm not surprised that the police appeared.
Regarding pace, I feel that it's just fine to me. Cannot compare Bad Buddy with lakorns and other long series with 20, 30 or even 50 plus episodes. They can flesh out the drama all they want there. Bad Buddy pacing so far is just nice and as expected.
The way just a week’s wait had made us overthink about everything so much and now we’re just 🤡🤡
I think if they want to extend that redemption arc, we need 15 or 16 episodes. It's already EP 10 next, and won't have time for settling the parents otherwise.
We know that Bad Buddy has been breaking almost all BL stereotypes out there ever since the first episode.
You know what other BL stereotype I hope Bad Buddy will break too?
No 'cursed EP 11' - Please put all the angst in EP 10, solve it and give us great EP 11 and EP 12, and a most happy ending to the two 'husbands to be'!
Bad Buddy EP 9 is really a happy episode in the end. For those who are still unsure of watching it because you are fearing that angst will ruin your Christmas celebration, it is a good one!
Lots of Pat and Pran lovey-dovey moments, and I agree that the product placements in this episode were actually very well done! Of course kudos to Ohm and Nanon for executing them wonderfully!
Number two rule for Bad Buddy watching: Prepare to be fooled by the preview and keep our expectations/emotions lower/in check
We know how many times we have been fooled by Bad Buddy previews before, especially in EP 4. That also includes EP 9 as well (especially Pat's comment about posting about them breaking up)
There was a huge expectation/fear for a lot of angst caused by the ending of EP 8, and that probably led to some of us feeling a bit meh after the archvillain Wai storyline didn't end quite as what we expected it to be. I won't sugarcoat it, but all of us do have certain expectations of a series, and for each of the episodes. But let's not allow those to frame our thoughts/views and muddle our thoughts.
As long as their support remain steady, that's good enough.

(Or should I say 'another year'? 😅)
In EP 9 preview this has been touched a bit, as all that 'post that we break up' is actually nothing at all!

On a side note, this is the 14500th comment!
Combined YouTube views about 12 hours after release last night is approximately 3 million.
It's a good one! (Don't forget that it's Christmas Eve yesterday and Christmas today!)
