For those who are wondering, this is already equaling/likely exceeding the views that FUTS and ATOTS had during their airing time (by their finale) and also considering the average per episode (coz ATOTS only has 10 episodes).

Look at it positively. It means that our dear Bad Buddy series has one more week of extended exposure for it to gain more people who haven't watched it yet.
Imagine those people coming to MDL and check. What series is this, still airing and already having close to 20000 comments (by then)??
And I agree that it should be postponed, as New Year's Eve is not necessarily a good time to air a series as many people may be out to celebrate (and get distracted)
The gap between one and two is just wow!!! I think this also says a lot about high rewatch rate of bbs ?
To be fair to Not Me, it was released 2 days after Bad Buddy, but even so, I would say Bad Buddy will still have 2:1 advantage in terms of number of views.
Still too early to tell how successful Not Me will be, but I am sure Bad Buddy will still come out on top in the end.
If EP 9 is as amazing as EP 8 and earlier episodes, as I am sure it will be, I'm not surprised that we'll reach 15000 comments by EP 10 (or before). And we may even see an 8.9 rating too!

Lakorn is the mainstream Thai drama, and as mentioned below, is like soap opera or telenovela. BL series on the contrary, is not mainstream, but has been gaining popularity gradually over these few years.
One part of me wish that great BL series like Bad Buddy can be extended beyond 12 episodes. That 12 episodes boundary sometimes limits the storytelling for a great series (but a mediocre series running for more than 12 episodes is terrible). UWMA with its complicated storyline to me was well fleshed out in 17 episodes.
(And don't even compare to all those big budget Chinese drama series with 50 episodes or more, up to close to 100 episodes, so much so that their government had to impose a limit to no more than 50 recently)
Btw do we still use spoilers button here? Cos I feel like most of us don't really care about it anymore 😂
I think we should only use spoilers in the first two days at most after airing, since most people would have watched it by Sunday. No hard and fast rule for that, but that's what I think.

In any BL and non-BL series (and not R21 shows), any sex scene must always be implicit.
That means the most that can be shown is something like Together with Me, TharnType, My Day (Filipino series) or Don't Say No (and I would also include Your Name Engraved Herein shower scene), not more than that. In fact, some of those were already testing the boundaries.

GMM25 is always having relatively low views as it holds relatively small portion of the TV viewership market. Sole exception was probably 2gether, but it was during the pandemic when everyone literally had to stay indoors. And the 2gether hype back then was crazy.
GMM is much more dominant in online platform. In terms of the traditional TV views, Channel 3 and Channel 7 are far more popular in Thailand than GMM25, and many series released in those two channels correspondingly had much higher TV ratings.
