But I heard some saying we are gonna cry in the last episode ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
That is what I expect from Bad Buddy.
Even when reading the original novel (as different as the storyline is), I felt as if I had been dropped to the deepest depths of hell before going up to the highest heavens with the ending (esp. the epilogue).
The novel is legendary, and I hope the series will surpass it!
But I heard some saying we are gonna cry in the last episode ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
If it’s tears of emotion and happiness, then I won’t mind.
But if they make it into a cliffhanger by EP 12, then they better follow up with something after that. I want Pat and Pran to have a truly most happy ending.
As for Not me, I think they really need to give it some time as it's been only one episode so far. Also, the genre…
Actually while Bad Buddy had built up quite an expectation due to its initial and official trailers, But even it had a relatively mild start. It began to become really popular after EP 4.
I actually expected it, since the earlier episodes when Pat and Pran relationship hadn’t begun developing yet, and with all the fightings, it makes sense for some people to dislike it.
Spending the time now while waiting for EP 8 to read the novel again. While the story is very different, thanks to Ohm and Nanon playing their roles so well, I can finally read the novel while imagining the two of them acting out the scenes. It made the experience so much better!
And if you want to prepare yourself for any angst to come, no better way than to read and survive through the novel, coz I think whatever the series is going to show us, I don't think it's going to be at the level of the novel.
(Oh and yes, if you want some parts that series cannot show - mature content, it's there in the novel too)
English translations are available in MEB, and unofficial links can be found in the discussion section here.
So I did get the order correctly. One thing though I don't understand is, If this is the order, why did Pran was…
Pat was confessing indirectly, so he has not technically lost yet. He only loses when he says it directly without using the play character as an excuse.
And Pat wasn't about to get that confession on the roof either. He knew that while Pran was already in love with him, but that confession was partly because he had no choice. No, instead, what Pat really wanted was to sweep Pran off his feet (remember EP 6 dialogue?) and he totally did that by appearing at the moment of his greatest distress in the end.
I'm not saying Pat won, since well, Pran won too, since he did make Pat to confess his love to him, not once but many times.
I like how Backaof executed Pat's improv scene - where other auditionees took the lines from the script - talking…
Haha, he still needs the audience to be alive after the episode. Many of us are already getting breathless with all the amazing performances we have seen throughout.
If he had overkilled the improv scene, it might have made us all faint, then we won't be able to finish the episode XD
For those still confused with the flow of events in the latter half of EP 7:
1. First, Pat came to the audition, wanting to take part in the audition, and he played the xylophone first.
2. Then, when asked by Toto, Pat spoke as 'Riam' to Pran (who responded as 'Kwan') about how he wanted to stop the game and profess his feelings to him indirectly (This was shown later near the ending just before the feeding scene)
3. Then, Pat did not get the role, and the scene of the noodle shop happened (with Ink and Wai).
4. Chart (the annoying guy who supposed to play as Riam) made a lot of nonsense, being super irresponsible and annoying, and this stressed Pran out.
5. Followed by Pat coming into Pran's room when he was very stressed up - likely over the play because of that Chart guy (the face cleaning scene), then Wai came and returned Pran's guitar. Pat became angry.
6. Pran was very distressed because Pat got really angry, and he got into a fight with Chart (the annoying guy who was supposed to play Riam) when the latter was being super irresponsible again. Chart was fired as Riam's role (or probably left otherwise)
7. Then the rooftop scene, where Pran asked Pat to be Riam. He wanted to confess there and then, but Pat stopped him. Having been asked the impossible, Pran did not get Pat to agree to Riam role. Toto scolded Pran severely for this.
8. Then to the xylophone scene, where Pat appeared, saving Pran from his predicament. (Love this hero moment!)
9. The feeding scene in the end happens after all of that.
10. Pa is still waiting to pee for the whole week for Pat and Pran to finish their lovey-dovey kisses and private couple moments. (Just a joke!)
While looking through EP 7 and earlier EPs reaction videos, rewatching the episodes again to fill up time before Friday...
Bad Buddy really never fail to amaze me with roller coaster of emotions in every episodes. We will have a lot of sweet, cute and lovely scenes in EP 8, that I am sure all of us will drown in them. But at the same time, I also predict angst to begin in later part of EP 8 too, especially with the parents.
Hang on tight everyone, let's prepare ourselves mentally and physically for Friday!
There has been a decline in activity somewhere between the 09th and today. But this could probably be because…
It's normal and expected. A lot of people goes to work (and some still has school even in December) on Monday onwards.
And usually I don't take MDL ratings too seriously, as it is not always accurate. And a series can have low rating in MDL but we like it, so a lot of times it's really subjective to our preferences.
What is important, whatever the rating is, I think almost all of us (if not all) here can agree that Bad Buddy is phenomenal!
I agree. In fact I was just about to post something similar. Thanks for summarising it wonderfully. And most importantly,…
The ‘Holy Trinity’ is the unofficial term used to describe the top BL pairings of Krist-Singto (SOTUS, SOTUS S), Off-Gun (Puppy Honey, Theory of Love) and Tay-New (Kiss, Kiss Me Again, Dark Blue Kiss). All three have three episodes in OurSkyy together with Frank-Drake and Pluem-Chimon
Nanon is turning 21 this Saturday (18 Dec). Let's give him the best birthday gift by continuing our heartfelt…
Those who happen to watch his commercials from even as early as the 2000s, you know that Nanon has acting as his passion and it has been flowing in his veins since he was still so young.
It's crazy how Ohm / Nanon pairing created such a big fanbase so quickly. Their friendship is so precious
That's because we all know the astronomical chemistry that exists between them as Pat and Pran, and they also have the same chemistry in real life as well.
Their strong friendship and experiences working together also make it feel that their interactions even off-screen to be very genuine and not forced, unlike quite a few other couples we knew.
Those who want to see baby Nanon should check his dad's channel. Including lots of home videos and early commercialshttps://www.youtube.com/user/kirdpan
OMG, thanks for sharing! I found one of the commercials early on, and was amazed by how talented Nanon was even from the time when he was still so young.
For the fellow Buddies here , who theorized that Pran will put up a fight for their relationship, you guys rock.…
I am very sure Pran will eventually put up a strong fight this time round. He may falter for one or two rounds at the start, especially if his mother strongly disapproves his relationship. But I believe, knowing that Pat loves him so much this time, he will not want to lose Pat a second time.
And I am guessing that he may even use his own mother's words against her when he put up that fight. 'His date, not ours', to highlight to her and both parents how stupid their rivalry and hatred are, that they had to impose their own broken relationships to their children, who are blameless and have their own right to happiness, unshackled by their parents' past sins.
Nanon is turning 21 this Saturday (18 Dec). Let's give him the best birthday gift by continuing our heartfelt and lively discussions we have on Bad Buddy here!
It is a testament to his amazing acting skills and wonderful other talents, as someone despite being so young, yet, have inspired so many of us through his role in Bad Buddy and other earlier series he acted in.
And of course, by our support for EP 8 when it comes this Friday! (Can't wait!!!)
since we are on internal ruminations, might as well share with you a passing crazy thought..so what im gonna say…
There were quite a few people in MDL who became SJWs overnight in History 4 comment board and showed disgust and disapproval of this kind of pairing.
I was one of those who defended the stepbrothers CP that time (can't believe it's been a few months since then). This better don't happen to Bad Buddy or else, it may cause similar reaction.
Haha the other trope is gonna be just so hard to accept for many people!
I just want to say, because I saw a good number of people talking about this on social media and I want to raise…
I agree. In fact I was just about to post something similar. Thanks for summarising it wonderfully.
And most importantly, as long as we don't end up having overzealous fans that intrude into their privacy, trying very hard to push them to be a real couple and other things (which do happen quite a lot of times), it is perfectly fine for us to ship Ohm and Nanon together.
(We don't want those kind of fans, those could end up breaking the actor couples apart, discouraging them from acting together. It happened before)
I am also feeling that based on Bad Buddy's great success, I won't rule out more Ohm and Nanon projects in the future too. A sequel of Bad Buddy (I know people's opinion are divided on this) is possible too. Jennie Panhan's recent interview video is to me maybe GMM's very subtle way of trying to hint that they are considering these very seriously. It's a marketing tactic to get us more excited for the potential future products. So yes, I believe those will become reality.
If we don't support them, then these may not materialise. That's the nature of the entertainment industry, for all the good and the bad it may be. The more support our favourite actor couple gets, the more they can appear and do more things together! What is important is, I hope Bad Buddy is a good wake-up call for GMM and other BL series producers to step up their game, and refrain from giving us lousy quality products from now on.
(And as I have said a few times before, Ohm and Nanon are precious gems with so many things under their belt even when they just barely in their very early 20s, and I am very sure that we will see quite a few more BLs with them as main leads (and maybe some as side couples) in the future)
We need a new generation of Thai BL golden couples, succeeding the pioneer generation (GMM BL Holy Trinity for example) and Ohm-Nanon is one of them.

Some people will just complain about anything, even when there is nothing to complain about.
