I'm pretty hopeful for this show. I really trust P'Aof's directorial skills. He's a screenwriter as well and I'm…
Agreed with you! This series has a lot of potential and can be better than 2gether.
With due respect to 2gether and its fans, this is my personal opinion. I do agree that it has more substance so far. Hope for the rest of the 9 episodes of Bad Buddy, they will continue to amaze us!
I have observed (you all can too) that a particular someone keep on posting extremely negative reviews for every episodes.
While it is perfectly ok to have a negative opinion on any series (and post negative review), as there will be some series that we may not like, but it is not ok to spam extremely negative reviews without proper justification.
I read the reviews and I am not convinced. To earn a one star for each category, the series must be so abysmal that it is among the bottom of all hundreds of BL series out there (and thousands of drama series). There are some, don't get me wrong, but it's not this one.
For all other users here, you may consider reporting the reviews I mentioned. Just a suggestion.
Wait a damn minute.... did they hint as to who's the "top" and who's the "bottom" with the whole "wifey and husband"…
Top and bottom is actually something that does exist in male-male homosexual relationships. Versatility is of course also there. Top and bottom does not necessarily mean a bad thing.
The main issue we have is how these are portrayed in BL series, where they end up becoming stereotyped, overdramatised to the point of something that can be interpreted even as ridiculing the individuals with same-sex orientation. I am sure you can name all the tropes associated with this.
Thankfully Bad Buddy and its awesome director, who himself is a member of the LGBT community, dares to break free from that usual BL generalisation and stereotype!
Hands down best Thai Bl with such a high rewatch value.. how does this not get boring? The extra serotonin boost…
I did say that things are likely different after three episodes (and it seems I am a bit too conservative, by the third episode, things have already changed).
P'Aof, the director himself said that people might not like the earlier episodes but asked the viewers to keep watching. Some of those actions that may be uncomfortable for some of us, are there for the plot reason, and it did make sense after the third episode.
It is a good reminder for all of us of the phrase, 'Do not judge the book by its cover'
Director and the two main leads, Ohm and Nanon hands down deserve my utmost respect for their efforts and performance!
Woke up to see the comment section totally on fire after a few hours!Just to add on more to this lively section,…
As expected, EP 3 may be the turning point. If 2gether started becoming really famous in EP 4, then for Bad Buddy, I may say it's EP 3 (or perhaps even EP 4 next week).
Of course can't really compare since 2gether has unique circumstances that made it really popular back then. I just hope that GMMTV won't screw Bad Buddy up in the same way they did 2gether in the latter half of the series.
But knowing P'Aof and his works so far, I don't think this one will disappoint. Most likely it will get better every episode! Sometimes, I think starting the series on a low side will allow it to soar as it goes on. Better than to start good and wonderful, and then disappoint later on.

Just to add on more to this lively section, since I love calculating the statistics for my various drama series:
Based on my calculations, the cumulative total of EP 3 parts in YouTube passed 1 million views in just less than 6 hours (which means that EP 3 is on fire too!) It's just passed 2 million cumulative views as of 18 hours from release (average 500,000 views per part).
The total cumulative views has also passed 10 million for all 3 episodes in YouTube! (Marking an important milestone - although we all know Bad Buddy is going to pass it for sure) This does not include the views in WeTV and on TV in Thailand.
(Note: Counting cumulative views is a legit statistics, just as average for each episode)
The rating here is so stupid, it's clear that it's all fake, if it's Kdrama it's always overates and if it's thai…
We'll just wait and see. If the remaining episodes turn out to be even better as it progresses, even we can see the rating for Bad Buddy to go up to 9 .0 or more in MDL.
It's not impossible! And people can always change their rating. Some people may have judged too quickly based on the first two episodes, especially because they disliked the fighting.
Just one last post for tonight. If I remember correctly, I mentioned in one of my earlier comments how Pran's dorm room is like his heart and feelings. (Thanks to all others who have also wrote about the symbolism in Pran's room and other things! It inspired me a lot!)
In EP 4 preview, those of us who have watched it will know that Pat finally gets into Pran's room. It means that Pran finally opened the 'door' of his heart and feelings to Pat. And true to Pat's style and character, he didn't let the chance go. When he likes Pran, he goes on and asks that directly to Pran.
How will Pran react? We'll have to wait a week for the answer! π
Done watching till the end. That's an amazing episode. Only Bad Buddy can make me feel so happy (and laugh a lot)…
Regarding the guitar, I agree with what someone else wrote in YouTube comment, that he lied when he told Pran that he tried to sell that guitar before. If you remember the flashback in EP 2, it is quite obvious that Pat treasured that guitar which Pran left behind. It's almost as if he treated that guitar as Pran.
Most likely he told Pran that jokingly regarding his attempt to sell the guitar, like what he always did, and not to betray his true intentions. Both are still playing hard to get, as you can obviously tell from this EP 3!
It may also mean that subconsciously, Pat also has some sort of a crush on Pran, although not as obvious as Pran's crush on Pat.

Update:
After 2 days from release, EP 3 now has close to 3 million views (750,000 views average per part)
At this rate, it may overtake EP 2 and even EP 1 in views. Good sign!
EP 1 (all parts): 5,100,000 views
EP 2 (all parts): 4,050,000 views
Grand Total: 12 million!

It is interesting to note that in the original novel, it is Pat's family that is stricter and his parents more stubborn (than Pran's)
Agreed, itβs wonderful!
It still feels as good even as the first time I watched yesterday!

Pat is always the persistent one.
