makes sens ... you don't really expect one of them dying ... eespecially in short lenght thai BL.
The only BL I felt like they might really kill one of the main was in century of love. and then there are some 10-15 yars ago drama ... where I guess it was normal to kill one of the two in the BL couple because ... there was no way you could be gay and happy ? I guess v_v )

Also, so far the way it's shown in this drama is not the "he is a bad guy because ... you have to bare with his shitty behaviour" kind of drama which is a relief.

... not fully enthousiast about ep. 1 after watching. Will see ep. 2 but Dean so far really looks like a player. ... but it's only ep. 1 also ...
The thing I can agree on is that apparently he is straightforward about what he is looking for when interacting with someone. He wasn't shown as manipulative kind ... but I would certainly not give him a "boyfriend of the year" award. XD

If it was that simple ... I am sure you understand how society trends and modele youo will see in movies and films (and books, and tv, and commercial ..... ) can sadly influence young or younger audience or even adult one.
That's how people end up thinking pink is only for girls, beauty is to have a white skin, number of followers on tiktok defines if you're worthy ... even knowing that it's not a fact many people are influenced after being exposed 24/7

Just to share opinions and have your feedbacks and chat about the show.

There are some things I liked ... some things I had harder time to deal with.
As for me Chat was a bit too much of caricatural ... but they were smart enough to make him ... mean and not smart but ... loving his brother so, that certainly helps balance the character as not just being 'I am a vilain because I'm bad"
But still it was hard to bare for me XD

The father has a bit of the same defaults and quality ... but maybe with more nuances.

Of course, of course, loved the grandmother ... I still can't get over the way they got rid of her ... what was that .... ? let's say she's sick and then throw her under a car ?!? My poor nice lovely grandma ...

The ending double twist doesn't really come as a surprise for me ... but I have to say it was a bit too much ... or maybe the way it was put ... but all in all I am more satisfied with this ending.

Ongsa is pretty as can be. I can't really get enough of his big dreamy eyes ... but I am not thaaaat convinced about his acting. I think it's totally decent but ... there was a few times were I thought it felt a bit off. I can't say if that's direction or him not finding the right way to play those specific scenes. So ... but anyway hope he will grow into more skills.

Inn ... doesn't have big dreamy eyes but I was certainly more convinced by his acting. I wonder if they will stay as a pair ... ? I am sorry if they are an official pair and please, if there is fan of the couple just don't mind me ... it's in no way to hurt your feelings. I think they were good as a pair but maybe not as natural as it could be. but it was really totally legit chemistry.

I like the Fiancee also ... the character was written in a clever way.

Finaly, would say, ... I think they lacked some budget. Sometimes the scene was obviously cartons and painting ... not to mention the fact that the troops are 10 guys at most. I know how much more time and budget it would be to fill all that up for historical drama ... I just say it is obvious. But it is quite decent considering the budget they probably had.

And all in all ... watched it until the end even if skipping fair share of scenes. But for an historical drama they certainly did a good job.

2 hours of overtime they decided to leave ...

I like the main actors. .. mostly for William, I would say he has good acting skills. The characters I saw Est in were less likely to offer much possibility to show off but ... yeah, I wantd to know what they are up to.

Just a bit worried to be back in the 1990 when all the shows were displaying the "bad boy" that the girl has to save and understand that if he is a jerk it's because ... blablabla

Since you weren't shocked by ep. 1 I will give it a look.

I feel a bit concerned about this recent trend about "red flags" and trying (again ... as in the past) to tell us it's sexy and/or romantic ...

... like girls used to be told that a forcing toxic uncaring guy is what a guy is supposed to be.

... I will give a look to see where this is going. But just saying I am a bit worried about not 'this' drama but the multiple drama that recently appeared with same topic.

Is there a way to stop at a moment of the drama to have it like a proper drama ?

(like for exemple if I stop at the middle of ep 10 I have the story but without the bad ending ?)

As for me ... I am more satisfied that way because for this type of drama you really expect a happy end ...
You don't go to your weekly drala after boring week of work to see death and misery.

But ... yes it is a bit too much for a saturday evening XDD

My theory is that they wanted to make it dramatic with Phob not surviving but because saturday drama codes they had to bring him back.
So they inserted both options.

ahahah ... it's funny how some drama make sens for some people and then are a total catastrophy for some others and yet those same people can meet again on another drama.

I am watching the last episode of edge of horizon now.

The brother is ... unsufferable. Also I think sadly they had great ambitions to make historical drama sadly war plus historical is a very very high buget ... you can tell they had to do with limited budget. It reminds me sometimes TV show from the 80's but .... considering all that I think they did their best in 11 episodes and with challenging goal.

Payback : honestly I was very impressed by the atmosphere and wuality of episode 1. I was very much worried that it would be one of those drama where everything was put for a quality episode 1 and then it turns out to be empty, stupid ... with very pour soundtrack and sound in general and unlikely situation all the time. Turn out it was pretty well made. Still a bit of inconsistency but nothing compared to what weoften have with BL drama and even more thai BL maybe.

I think we recently have better Kdrama BL. I mean we had a few very high quality BL drama in the past but it was rare and always very dramatic. But we had the prosecutor's proposal or thunderstorm ... we also have a bunch of very short random obviously without any budget bl k drama. ...

Reset ... i've seen that it's very loved but honestly I wouldn't watch it again even if I was paid for it. ... well okay, it's too much, if I was paid I would take the money and watch but it would be painful.

Kehmjira was also a good surprise for m. FIrst episodes are a bit messy but then it finds some consistency and it's rare to have good quality for that genre. Maybe the only issue is that the student guy in the main couple ... has some dead fish hability for interaction with ML. but not that bad that it doesn't work. And the whole scenario was nicely put all in all.

Love Upon a time was a terrible let down for me.

Revenged Love fall into the category of mystery for me .... as in ... I don't get why it's so popular. FOr me there isn't much to save ... so I don't really get the enthousiasm.

ABO and To my shore ... it's very very toxic and the kind of toxic where you are supposed to find it sexy or/and romantic ... that it's a bit too much to ask from me.I kind of understood a bit for "to my shore" dynamic. But ABO ... the aestetic of the whole serie is nice but the characters should not be valide mains.

Weirdly enough I got along with Double Helix ... even though it's not much more better. But ... they both seem lost in their pulling, pushing, doubting, testing game ... and you really feel like they shouldn't get anything good out of it and I'm pretty sure in real life this can only lead to short term catastrophy but ... great chemistry and .. yes, somehow they don't really try to make us think it's romantic. I find it slightly less disturbing than ABO (even though)

Dark Blue Kiss ... I've seen it I'm pretty sure but ... yeah and Big Dragon I could'nt get past half episode 1. You seem to be very brave.

Love Syndrome ... I think I don't know that one. But I might not be strong enough if it's too toxic ...

Love in the air ... yes I think that's the kind of drama that is not really about the story but it's more a softporn bait. Well I've seen worst in term of scenario traded for naked butts.

Yes ... I have hope that Korea could produce more good quality serious dark BL ... maybe Thailand if they learn from the appreciation Payback received ... and then I still hope for Taiwan to enter the game ... Taiwan has a very heteroclyte type of production.

And yes .. I somehow came to enjoy that show and I was really not expecting anything out of it and ... I am not sure there is anything revolutionnary but ... it's cute and really funny.
I have a nice time watching the episodes and waiting for it each week.

I still have hope that at some point they will make a little less awkward kiss scene. I don't even ask for anything wild but less like cats testing cold water XD
