Yes , a crazed CX gone over to the dark side as he loses his XY....I'm anticipating and dreading this in equal measure....it will be superb acting, but given how much they make me cry already, I'll have to have several boxes of tissue nearby.

I'm on this ship too! Waiting to see ep 8 and 9 tomorrow.....knowing there are some good moments in ep 8 is getting me through to then....It's like waiting for the disaster to come, knowing it's coming, and enjoying every moment of the ride until then, even as my dread grows..... my beloved YaoXuan.

Same here. At the end of each new episode I am like, "what, that was 45 minutes? Nooooo!" Once this show finishes, I'm rewatching it from beginning to end, to get the whole story without a break. TBH, I will probably rewatch this many times to come....simply one of the best dramas ever for me.

Lol this has been me since he first walked on the screen in the very first episode of the show! "Obsessed with how obsessed he is with XY" is such a good description of me! I went back and have rewatched their scenes all through the drama countless times...I've already rewatched some of their scenes in these first 7 episodes of S2 (we are a day behind in release on Vikii here) in the last two days! No, not obsessed here, not at all....😂

I did too, Feng Long got my sympathy, how awful it is to be stood up in front of everyone like that, and how awful XY felt having to do this to him. The whole scene is electric and heart-stopping.

I was watching episode 6 and 7 & today - Viki here is a day behind in releasing them - and realized I had tears running down my face in the middle of episode 6. I didn't realize they were dripping off my face! lol XY and XL, pure tear fest. Lots and lots of kleenex!

I spend so much time thinking about this drama! The psychology in it is fascinating - and all the performances let us in and feel it. Fabulous!

I too was in a long-distance relationship and we have now been married for 22 years now, but that waiting and missing someone....I understand so much of why XY tries to protect her heart. I love that she asks if this is good, and the answer makes her understand herself better, that if she doesn't open up and believe, she can never have it. Powerful! And then we get her with Jing and get to see how her character has grown, through everything that's happened with him. The storytelling on this show is so good.

I agree, thanks so much to YZ for saying this. They, and we, have had to wait for most of a year to see this second part air. I would add as a fan, each and every character is portrayed very well in this drama. All the performances are so good. Every character has nuances and more than one dimension. Let's enjoy all their work, and seeing our beloved LYF finally tell all the story.

Sometimes I think she is afraid of really knowing her own heart. Perhaps she has a conflict, between needing to be safe and belong - so doing what is expected of her, versus her need to be free, which she has experienced. That desire to wander among the islands, vs being with her family. I was also thinking that she avoids conflict in her own relationships, so this push-pull with XL makes her feel unbalanced - XL would make anyone feel unbalanced! I don't know what would make her open up to XL at this time, which makes me hurt each time they push each other away when they really mean to say, "stay", to one another.

Also, he admits that once he knows who she is, that he had ignored all the signals she was sending to him once she knew who he was. That is one of his regrets too. I agree he's scary at how ruthless he can be. He is so protective of who he loves, and I love this about him.

I haven't read the novel, though I have seen enough comments on the novel to know how it ends. I keep hoping maybe the drama will be different....but if not, that's ok too. The drama is so good that I just want XY to be happy at the end.

I love XL too. And CX. That scene behind the rock - that shared moment that neither of them (XY and CX) knew the other was listening, and they both want to go back to the past. This show is so good!

I know! Two pitiful souls is right. Every time I think of his face at the end of that scene on the bridge! it hurts so much....
