They are called Poisonous LOVERS Bug.The terms of the bug giver are not murky. It's stated right there: There…
Such good points, about CX and TSJ having super powers that work for other people, and that XL's connection is only with XY. Oh that just makes it harder, how he lets her go to find JIng.....she is the only one XL has any connection with, and it is so deep. He is such a fascinating character - kind of like snakes are, lol, scary and fascinating, and strangely beautiful.

I love that point: "Jing is moping around for decades, but she immediately figures out that Tushan Hou's MO is to steal Jing's women..." I wonder if he is so busy shielding himself from them - doing that foxy thing of disappearing so they don't notice him and will leave him alone, that he forgets he has to pay attention to everyone closely around him. For a clever guy, why can't he suspect his brother of anything? When someone hurts you terribly once, you never trust them the same way again. Well, Jing does, sigh.

I got that about FFB too, as the scene was taking place with FFYY and Hou, and I looked over at Jing to see if he was watching or clueing in.... Nope, no signs of interest or understanding there.....It's like his whole world is XY and nothing else exists. He left himself so vulnerable.

North America??? Dare I hope?
I know, I checked too. Not listed yet. Maybe when it's done airing. Like the Double has appeared on Netflix shortly after it finished airing on the Chinese platform.

Ok this made me laugh, because yes, why does Jing have no clue about the affair happening under his nose, ever, with FFYY and his brother? When he can track XY to the orchard where she is in the trees, why can't he "sniff" or sense the scent of his brother on his fiancée? The bag falling is his clue something has happened to XY. But the other two feel it, so for me, their connection to her is deeper and physical. Jing and XY aren't connected that way yet.

Also you are right - XL and XY share the same heartbeat.....there is definitely some connection going on there, too. Deep connection.

Dang it, we need one where she marries them all. 🤔Instead of Yanxi Palace, drama will be called Da Huang Palace…
Yes. YES!!! This is what I've wished for since half-way through the first season! LOL I know, never ever going to happen in this universe, but such an awesome fun alternate ending. 😁🤣 All our ships would be happy then, and the fighting would be over who XY visits more often in their palaces....

My Saturday evening is complete now imagining the Xiao Yao palace, with the three smaller palaces owned by each of the male leads.....and all the various children/foxes/snakes. This has to be a drama or episode special - LYF's alternate universe ending! 😂 All the male leads would be fighting and backstabbing to be get more time with her, and their kids would emulate their dads.....

I love this! This!! This is is my alternate history of how this show ends! Yes! XY with all of them! I can see the little foxes and snakes too, and you know they will all be counting to make sure no one has an unfair advantage in visiting her or her visiting their quarters.....imagine little CX's and snakes always having to be separated.....This is too fun!

Because CX wants to recapture the happiness he felt with XY when they were children and they had no one else but…
I understand where CX is coming from too. When you've lost someone once, and had her die (almost), you want to keep them right next to you forever. My poor XuanYao ship.....

I love your fantasy theory. and then #4....sobbing here too. Why does he keep breaking our hearts??? "Even 9 headed demons have got to dream, right?" I think we see that dream when he is in red holding the crystal ball pill in his shell....he was letting himself dream that week, while she waited on the shore for him, in red too. Gah, my heart. The beautiful love that couldn't be brought together. At least he knows with the crystal ball, that he really is important to her. Small crumbs, to be sure, for us. Although I still think he hurts her far too often for comfort.

The drama actually answers certain questions from the books. I have read the necessary and also watched until…
This was a brilliant understanding of the novel and drama, and the different kinds of love that are being expressed by the characters. I agree that Xiao Yao needs healing still. But I don't know that we can put the full blame on her for the missteps in her and Xiao Liu's relationship. Not telling someone the truth is as damaging as outright lying. XL withholds so much from her, that it is impossible for her to make an informed decision as to whether she should open up to him or not. Especially given all the trauma she is healing from. Looking at how XL looks at the poison pill she makes him - that marvelous creation - he understands something of what he means to her. But XY can't answer that final question he asks her, because she doesn't know all of her own heart yet. There is something about XY and XL wearing red during that week by the sea, which hints at an understanding of what they'd like to have, but he won't go to her. He can't, for all his reasons. I love the character of XL, but I also dislike him for hurting XY over and over again. He never says no to her clearly, nor does he say yes. Even giving her to Jing is not saying he loves her, to her. I keep thinking, is there any way XL can get out of his choices? But like CX, his path is narrow, and he never expected to meet someone like XY, who he loves, but can't let himself have. It's so heartbreaking and beautiful. There is a part of me that thinks though that the demon is afraid of love - he retains power in the relationship by never giving to her what she wants. This is a very dark interpretation, I know! But it fits with the darker elements of his character, how he keeps pushing her away - it's not just for her, it's his fear, too. As much as she isn't open/truthful yet, neither is he.

This is an awesome quick definition of them! I love it! And the crickets for poor Feng Long.....completely forgotten...

A lot of us are not shippers who have a set “fave”. We just root for XaioYao to heal and get what SHE wants.…
Exactly! yessss! the drama is more than who gets the girl......it's also who doesn't, and why. That's the title: Lost You Forever. And all the love, and all the choices, and all the drama....the story is so layered....all the different kinds of love and relationships, too. I love all of it. I want my girl Xiao Yao to be happy at the end, whatever she chooses.

I watched the drama first and then read the novel during the long wait for season 2. Personally, I enjoy the novel…
Yes! Enjoying the drama from all the characters....and understanding what person XY needs. Like her grandpa (Emperor grandpa) sees, who she needs, because of what XY herself shows in her behaviour. She has been telling us (and herself) all along..... I really like how supportive both her Emperor grandpa and the Haoling King are for her.

I'm on those three ships too.....agree with everything you say here. I'd love to see this drama break more records…
Yes to team Big 3 and for more records to be broken. I had never heard of fandom wars until I started watching Chinese dramas over the winter. I was horrified, especially by what happened here in our beloved drama star fandoms. I want our drama to be known for being one of the best ones, and for all the support the show and stars got from the fans too. All the actors and actresses in LYF deserve accolades for their work in this drama.

Up until S2, I was not a fan of Jing's character either at all. I would have rants to myself about how she deserves someone who isn't so passive, lol So I'm glad to see him finally doing something, and for her. But I think I still have some scenes to go from hints in comments below...better watch those two episodes first! lol

High five back to you! long-distance is hard, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but at the same time, when you want to try, and you have that feeling, it's worth trying for. I like that YZ has reached this point in her journey towards love, too. We are seeing her unfold before our eyes. Part of me wishes she could have done it (opened up, really tried) with XL, too.

I know, this was why I hated her in the beginning - she was so rude and disdainful of everything in Qingshui Town. She has mellowed and grown up a bit, though too we haven't seen her back in that kind of setting either. I like that she and XY have a sister relationship now, that's good for both of them.

I usually enjoy the book more anyway, so I'll be reading the book once LYF has completely finished airing all the episodes. I am loving LYF, it's a complex story with complex characters, and I am loving all the layers in the story telling. So from what you have written I am really looking forward to the novel now too 😄 I am enjoying all the performances, though for me TJC, ZWY and YZ are the standout key performances here. They are each so very good and thrilling. The intensity they bring to the screen, especially each of the male characters with XY, just off the charts. I like the sweetness that Jing brings to the story and XY, it adds another level of romance, though I like his character more in S2 than I did in S1. So much to love in this drama!
