Yes, it has a HE. I just read it to get ready for this drama...lol to how different the drama is from the novel, but the novel as it is would never have passed the censors. I'm enjoying the drama very much, and I liked much of the novel too, though he takes most of the novel to redeem himself.
Yes, very much a happy ending! Lots of people watched/rewatched this one for therapy after TTEOTM πBtw, if…
You aren't the only one. I needed Love is Sweet now to help me heal from TTEOTM, and it does! I think of Love is Sweet as the OTP's modern reincarnated life ππ Somewhere in the last episodes, watching them together, I suddenly thought, Tantai Jin is getting all the cuddles and love from Li Su Su that he wanted in TTEOTM! lol Heart healing for sure.

This is so well done, I found myself starting to cry again! their story is the best and heart-breaking and your edit is amazing. I love CX and his grey character, and how you begin it with XY saying everyone has to grow up....This should be the S2 ad for LYF!
Cute scenarios for the 100 year mark. That would be so nice. I think everyone deserved happiness for all they…
I love this!! This is hilarious, too. This would be a fabulous short 6 or 8 episode 1,000 years later follow-up comedy-drama. πππ₯° How they all inter-connect and all carry echoes of previous lifetime.....awesome creative thinking!

Good points here, Kokuto, I agree with some of what you say. I don't think of any of our main characters as trauma-free, they are all wounded in some way. They are all deserving of love, too. That may be one of the underlying themes of LYF. Jing isn't innocent, either. He chooses to hide and work from behind the scenes in almost all things. I wonder if XY had met this side of him first, if she would have trusted him (I think not?). She admits Shi Qi is who she loves first, even though he lied to her about his identity. Jing lets her down.... Maybe LYF is about loving people who hurt you anyway? I'll have to think on this some more, because it fits with the story of XY's parents, too. And so many other characters. You are right about her saying to CX that Jing would never get between them, and then in the end, he does. The heartbreak in this show!

Also, I saw the 100k comments and was so amazed and delighted it was so many. I like how you say you have all reached immortal cultivation now after a year, I'd agree with you! *hastily applies for citizenship* π

It's been a week since the last episode ended, and I'm coming to realize that I love how Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu portrayed their characters. I keep looking at their other dramas, and realizing I want to see them again in this. I know now why you had that rewatch last year, a month after the drama ended. TTJ is fascinating and compelling in Luo Yunxi's hands.
Ahh welcome!! Feel free to ask questions, discuss the drama or just hang around here. We are a very tolerable…
lol I just watched Till the End of the Moon with my daughter in July- it's my 15th? c-drama, I think. My very first one was I Will Never let You Go, way back in Jan 2023. It was lots of fun until the awful ending. It took about 8 months before I could try another C-drama, after that ending! But everyone kept talking about them, so I then tried Eternal Love (10 Miles of Peach Blossoms), which I loved. Now I enjoy them very much π₯° Nothing has been like Till The End of the Moon, though! It's been a week and the characters still live in my head. I'm rereading parts of the novel again too...lol
"Fun, quirky time here", this is awesome. I just read the HE chapters Micha put up, so I'm feeling some end of drama happiness now. I am sad there would be any haters here, never mind anywhere else in MDL. Thank you for keeping the moonbase clear ππ

Thank you so much for the tissues (gratefully accepted) , for the awesome recovery pack - it feels like a survival pack, really! "How to survive after TTEOTM breaks your heart". Thank you for the links, and for the HE chapters especially! I was so devastated by the drama ending that I started reading the novel right after. I didn't want the story to end. I wanted more, which the novel is giving me. I've just finished the first 107 chapters that were translated on Second Life Translations - they were very good translations. I really enjoyed the novel so far. LSS - I have such mixed emotions about her! Even in the novel they are misunderstanding one another. They are the definition of dysfunctional star-crossed lovers! My heart breaks for TTJ, who at least has recognized he loves her. ππππ I'm so happy you are all here to talk to still....

Thank you so much for your warm welcome! I'm still sorting the drama out in my mind. I'm so delighted there are active fans still here π I'm new to Chinese dramas, I only started watching them seriously this past winter. I was watching K-dramas before. So I have lots of watching to do! I will go check out the recovery pack. I am still not over the ending yet. I might need that pack!
New Moonie here. My daughter and I watched TTEOTM for the first time, finishing the last two episodes last night. So much ugly crying that my eyes are still slightly swollen this morning. We both loved this drama very much. Though I took to calling the leads "Our Favourite Dysfunctional Couple" because how often they misinterpreted, assumed, didn't clarify anything with one another. Just now my daughter said, why couldn't LLS/YXW tell him once that she loved him? *cue more tears*
Me too, I love the characters. Even Jing, even if I have problems understanding his decisions (with FFYY in particular).…
This isn't about men respecting women. Something IS wrong with FFYY! She's an assassin who has attempted to kill CX, and JIng!! LOL by now he should have clued in that it's ok to announce she is not a good person. Plus, she has no future - I mean, they announce FFYY dies of an illness, to save face. But, he and the clan decide to let her secretly live....it's a weird decision for a leader of a clan who is almost murdered by the person. I can see why Jing thinks he is doing the right thing, by not killing her, because he doesn't want the guilt. But that doesn't make him a good person necessarily. His duty is to his clan, which was endangered by the plot against him. I don't think of Jing as "good' for this reason, I think of him as weak because he is not willing to protect himself or his loved ones. You could say that his decision to save FFYY and let her see her son once a year, is what saves XY in the end when FFYY hides XY in the bolthole. That's true. So one good deed, etc. But it doesn't change the fact that none of this would have happened if they (Jing and the clan) had not weakened and let her live in the first place. I like Jing, I just don't like this decision he made. He really is Shi Qi in nature, not a leader. Also, I'm also pretty sure that XY would have killed FFYY by poisoning her with no qualms, if Jing had died from the poisoning. Or asked CX or XL.
It's definitely not as smooth as far as the story telling nor as faithful to the original novel as season 1. It's…
I'll be here too. Waiting to see these last episodes to see how it plays out. Really hoping for a grand finale. Then reading the novel for the first time. So I can't compare to the novel, but I can tell something is off with this latter part of S2, the editing is jumpy. So unlike S1. The characters are still as good, as is the acting.
It hurts me to say this. Even if XY was still the Princess of Haoling, she would still push A Nian to him. XY…
CX after pushing her towards Jing, spends the rest of the drama regretting that decision, too. He sees it as the moment he let Jing back in, and lost her to him. I agree that if he had confessed earlier, he might have had a chance. Though I re-watched the scene in ep 17 when she gets her true form back, and when he is gazing at her, lost in her beauty, she calls him Ge ge and it startles him back to awareness. She has only related to him as a brother. What would have been interesting is if she, when she was Wen Xiao Liu, found him attractive as a man, the way she instinctively reacted to Jing when unwrapping his bandages. Then there would have been hope for CX.
