I’m rewatching all YT / YQ saga, am at episode 15. La Mu universe!

1. Well she was totally underprivileged. What I liked a lot is that YQ thought he is punishing her by sending her to school, and how that was in fact one of her dreams! Brilliant.
Also, Husui and the bad Fairy are introduced. Little did we know then which huge impact both will have to the happenings later in the story!
2. It was already clear that CF is the one with the steepest development, meaning for me the other two were like - the necessary evil around :). Wud must choose between Wudai and DY, I liked W more. DY was totally put on the wrong track by his mother.

QK was already in love with CF but Yetan was still in the modus to save her. I don’t know if she (QK) was open about the reason to stay where they were, but eventually it turned out well. Interesting to me how YT didn’t give so much attention to the love bridge, and what it really meant, that she passed it with YQ.
CF was still cunning and I still didn’t know if he will become honest (or when) .
As for the heavenly realm, how yetan tried to use the three masters, and the reactions of YQ to that, was priceless.
Plus don’t forget the beginning of episode 5: YQ took the punishment of five thunder slashes for her, he was already hers, he just didn’t realize it yet.

As they are from the core of Youqin, and they are in Yetan, this is an organic connection between. Therefore she is not only in pain when she talks bad of him, it she is the only one who can monitor hi life signs when he is down the Gouixu or what’s it’s name. So beautiful.

I am exactly at this moment in the drama again. And was thinking exactly how all her wishes came true.
Good scripts do that to a story.
This is why I am following, for instance, the path of some items in the show (like the handkerchief and the cypres jade hairpin and the magic white fabric; I am sure there are more to follow - like the lilac jade the sister gets in the void and whatnot).
This is why indeed this story doesn’t get boring yet, as whilst rewatching is in fact when one discovers the hints and links and understand properly . Nice!

On the impact of his role in GMP: I read somewhere that he was physically and mentally broken for a good few months after filming ended. And not only because he fell off a horse during filming.
You have these kind of method actors, I have a lot of respect for. He is becoming the Christian Bale of Chinese cinema.
Like you, I also hope for him only peace and quiet and good scripts.

7.1 on Douban? Well, I understand these dramas are made primarily for Chinese audiences, and I heard Douban likes quality. Enfin, at the end of the day we liked it a lot! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and this time we are the ones here. I was just hoping for high rates so it ends up on steaming an outside China too.
I don’t understand how they choose what they show outside: we have in the family also a Disney+ subscription and some Chinese drama about some cooks in a palace is there, but nothing like a proper drama. I don’t know

I was hoping this would end being a hype like LBFAD last summer and end up on Netflix. It is at least as good ( I liked that too, only here the acting is much more mature. Just my opinion, I don’t want to offend anyone, love and peace).
And why Netflix? Like you and others said: spread the love, share the experience!
