I agree, the rating is much higher than I believe it deserves
Probably nothing but maybe something. I recall a similar call last year with LBFAD, that ended up on Netflix due to popularity with international viewers. I don’t know, but anything that boosts the popularity outside of China is welcome .

Well, it depends what you like. LBFAD hit a rating of 8.9 or even higher? This drama is at least that good, meaning the rating needs to match.
But for me personally, I think it gets a chance to get to Netflix if ratings are high here. And I (again, personally) would like this to be enjoyed by many more million viewers outside of CH. I fully understand we (international cdrama fans ) are not the main audience they make these stories for. Sometimes a gem comes along that you want to share with people around you, and a presence on Netflix helps. Thanks for understanding.

Such an excellent drama, with the good acting by CXX and the pairing with the similarly good Cass Gai is yet again a succes. Rewatching now after TSL. Like rewatching everything this man has been doing in his short career (since he is sooo young still!). And waiting for the Interpreter. Dashing.

For me, GMP. Epic story with epic acting by him. I feel he is very natural which makes him able to be versatile in smoothly changing moods and consequently fysionomie. Consistently credible for the audience. Have a look at Truth too (another of his drama s). When you think he is only 26, with his acting school background and track record, if he chooses scripts well, he can end up being a solid actor for years to come. To me, incomparable to some currently very popular male actors. Perhaps like Zheng Ye Cheng. Or Chen Xiao. Not going for the big fame but for the good performance. Just my opinion.
The little details in their first encounter are killing me. Like when she is prepared to shove him to the “bad guy” and he says: don’t be afraid, I’ll protect you. That was the moment she fell in love with him. Right? Still swooning over all of it.

I wandered off to iQiyi and suddenly realized that amongst the zillion pictures on this site, there is one of CXX as Mei Q in the preferred color scheme of iQiyi productions. God he looks even better there, if that is possible. Actually one more, of him also as LaMu. Also gorgeous. You know the drill, The mysterious greenish dark one of LBFAD and other dramas. Was thinking, how would TSL look and feel like in that color scheme ? What do you think?
