So i wonder if they will make this a dream or a book? Lol
im okay with it being a book but it better not be a dream 😭😭 that dream trope pissed me off so bad in Scent of Time, i wanted to whack my screen away 😭 it just ruined it for me. in a book, we'll at least see the characters in modern life
but when Xuening and Xie Wei got together, i felt like his love for her more like obsession and madness. I dont know how to explain it. It was kinda dark
They are just following the novel script because that is how it went in the novel. Don't know why everyone is…
People nitpick everything. They think that scene was inappropriate bc she called him 'dad' right before he buttoned up her bra. some were uncomfortable with that bc they thought it was a subtle incest joke or sexualization of the word 'dad' (like the word daddy that's sexualized in the west).
Although i get where these people are coming from and wish the production crew was more careful with this scene, I believe the context matters more than what's being said. As you mentioned, the word 'dad' was added bc she lost the bet. There is nothing sexual about this. If she said, who loses the bet is a pig, people would have no problem with it. That's why the context matters! sadly, this scene is being circulated online from the part she calls him 'dad' so most people who are commenting negatively don't know the context at all. They just wanna label this drama as 'controversial'
Well based on some of the other things that has been posted about the production crew, I'd say that they are not…
its common for actors without an influential background or a series of hits to not have a say in a drama's production if the crew has more control over the cast. this is the sad reality. there are some crews that give importance to the actor's perception of the character but some rarely care. age also matters hence the opinions of young actors are usually overlooked. if they insist or go against the crew's ideas, they'll be called cocky and arrogant. such rumors easily spread inside the industry which in turn may affect their offers in the future. so actors can't afford to offend them until they have a solid fan base that wants them on screen no matter what.
Did shu yi call him “dad” in the novel?? Because if she did, they are just following script lol
yea, but they changed the dialogue from 'in my bed' to 'in my house' in that hospital scene. that was way less scandalous than this. if they wanted to, they would have. idk how this passed the strict censorship tho.
i found that scene silly. it wasn't overdone or sexualized but different people have different opinions. i can see why few have a problem with it
Cnetz are calling Bai lu, Wang Hedi, and the production crew scumbags bc Shu Yi called Shi Yan 'dad' since she asked for his help buttoning up her undergarment. it seems like the crew forced them to go ahead with this scene. this has now caused some controversy and they're all bashing Bai lu and dylan
