Cnetz are calling Bai lu, Wang Hedi, and the production crew scumbags bc Shu Yi called Shi Yan 'dad' since she asked for his help buttoning up her undergarment. it seems like the crew forced them to go ahead with this scene. this has now caused some controversy and they're all bashing Bai lu and dylan
It circles back to the conversation they had at the beginning of episode 27 when he brought up how she saved him.…
i interpreted this using the mandarin subtitles (im not good at reading or writing lol), it looks like she said 'we'll swipe the slate clean' in the english one
She marries Shen Jie but as a second consort/ concubine in the novel bc Jiang family's reputation was ruined or…
I wish I wish 😭 when Shen Jie asks to give up his prince title and for freedom in front of the emperor, I really wished that was actually granted. Both of them are not greedy for money or power, the least they deserve is to be happy in a monogamous marriage 😭❤️
As much as I'm glad Shu got slapped so many times, I'm afraid it smacked some survial instincts into her 😭it made her throw everyone off guard by sleeping with the emperor and avoiding the peace-making marriage. I wish she was dumb but she isn't, she'll do anything to survive. She's a true Xue 💀
Ep 27: How is that emperor so weak? Easily seduced by a witch
i was so shocked by the emperor's actions. ig he was so ready to do it bc she's okay with going against the Xue family even though she's their only daughter. I don't know how it's gonna help the emperor. i feel like he already had eyes of Shu or something bc that man jumped at the opportunity 🤷♀️
It's because they mainly write to cater to female audiences. They think we'll like it if we're getting all the…
I'm not saying this is the right way of catering to the female audience but this is what most of the drama industry aka scriptwriters believe. we rarely get second female lead syndrome but we often get second male lead syndrome, why do you think that is?
this is kinda of toxic formula that scriptwriters like bc is according to them this is likely to do well among female audiences.
Calling women professionals pretty and saying who wouldn't wanna be interviewed by a beauty and all that was disgusting…
I'm glad I could help broaden your perspective but it's definitely not your fault for thinking with a westernized mindset. It's just that the Chinese drama industry rarely tries to cater to an international audience outside of Asia, unlike high-profile kdramas. So, there's a visible difference. I'm asian and I grew up there before moving to the west as a teen. I totally get the difference so don't worry, I'm happy you looked into this. & Some people might just be mean, ignore them :)
Ep 29 trailer, what does Ning'er mean by 'As long as her highness can stay, we wont owe each other anything, our grudges will be cleared' ?!! what does she mean by a fresh start? what grudges are they holding on each other still. i get that Ning'er is distancing herself but why does she still think that Xie Wei is still holding a grudge on her or smth? didn't he clear things up by saying he didn't use her and in his eyes, she's different from others ?!
xie wei doesn't seem to consider zhang zhe as a competition (in court and jxn). this two has a very civil relationship.…
I love Xie Wei for this, he doesn't let his jealousy cloud his mind, or have a petty competition with Zhang Zhe with Ning'er as the bargaining chip or smth.
is xie wei just wise or it’s because of life experiences. he has a way with words that those who listen to him…
he's not rational but wise, full of awareness of the situation, and can read between the lines. he's very misunderstood but very convincing at the same time. he's an anti-hero but with a high EQ. if not for those unfortunate circumstances, he would've been a fine young man who's not only suitable for Ning'er but good in her eyes from the start too.
this is kinda of toxic formula that scriptwriters like bc is according to them this is likely to do well among female audiences.
