I’ll be happy with another kiss with as much tension as the ginger candy scene. Even if they pan off and do the silhouette thing. Either way, the two of them together are 🔥
These 2 are the 3rd couple i want to see together again... But kdramas rarely repeat the pairing...
They do it very rarely but when they do, I noticed that it’s like 5-10 years later. We got lucky with Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin with a movie and drama in 1-2 years?
I hate Deok Ro but felt sad like Deok Im did when he died
OMG…when he told Doek-I’m to go away with him…not because he wants to live happily with her but because he would have the one thing San couldn’t get and it would make him live 🤦🏻♀️ He was Doek-Ro till the end. Doek-Im was like WTF is wrong with this guy 😂
Why doesn't he kill that Hong guy ughhh Im bearing these last episodes bec of that ending but I wish she would…
She did in ep13. At first San didn’t get it and thought she was afraid of loosing his affections so she told it was not that but afraid of loosing herself. But that fight, she was mad and said it just to piss him off. They both have a lot of pride.
I have a like-indifferent relationship with the show. The romance is undoubtedly well done but I feel it's achieved…
In the drama, she used the “not worthy” excuse with the tangerine scene. However in history, she never used the excuse that she was not worthy because she was a servant so I can see why it’s not used in the drama. Based on what I read, her first excuse was the Queen hadn’t conceived yet so she didn’t feel right accepting him (they were like 14/15 yo). Then they didn’t say why but that she straight refused him the second time. One thought was that it was because she didn’t want to leave her comfortable life as a Court Lady (which is possibly how the author got the concept for the novel). From the historical video, she served in his mother’s palace at a young age and was raised by her alongside her three children (San and his sisters) so she had the confidence to reject him. You can say she wasn’t the typical servant. The novel started with them meeting at a later age and didn’t explain well where she got her confidence from. The drama blended both the novel and history.
Will there even be time for a scene like this…I know the next concubine Hwabin is the one who fakes her pregnancy.
That’s what it said in one of the historical videos. Everything about that time is still questioned to include Jeongjo’s (San) death. Not because of how young he was but because he was recovering from a boil treatment when he died a couple weeks later and said the name of his grandmother’s palace on his deathbed. So some think she poisoned him because in the later part of his reign, they weren’t getting along. Of course her becoming Regent for his son King Sunjo adds to that theory cause her and Sunjo undid a lot of Jeongjo’s attempted reforms.
Whether true or not, I can totally see Doek-Im’s resistance to join the royal family. Her view in the novel: Royal family is dysfunctional, friendly to face but turn on each other.
I actually think that poster of them reading together among the grass could be their afterlife scene.
I think that’s what the novel spoiler showed. That scene is when San passes away and meets Doek-Im in afterlife. She tells him he needs to go handle Court business and he responds by saying that was where he is staying from that moment on. Major paraphrasing cause I can’t find that link anymore.
I sincerely hope they give us both episodes or my crying won’t be just from the feels of the drama. 😭
Took me a couple of times for Happiness…mainly watched for the leads while waiting for Red Sleeve episodes. I wouldn’t have finished if it was longer than 12 episodes and I did a lot of ffwd.
I sincerely hope they give us both episodes or my crying won’t be just from the feels of the drama. 😭
Whether it’s Cdrama or Kdrama, it really depends on the popularity with the volunteers. The more popular ones are subbed almost immediately but others will be there for days before being fully subbed. Two of their streaming sites Tencent and IQiyi sub them so like you said Viki can possibly get them mostly already subbed.
I sincerely hope they give us both episodes or my crying won’t be just from the feels of the drama. 😭
Hope so. Usually cdramas have back to back episodes each airing date and on Viki, it would have both listed as available in #days but I only see ep14 and not ep15 listed. But this is new for Kdrama so we’ll see.
That looks like the scene in the preview where she sees the object that belongs to her missing friend. Don’t…
That’s what I was thinking that he came upon her going in the water and misunderstood the situation since it looks like it could be from that scene in the preview; same location/outfit.
