I know what you mean about WeTV/Tencent. Some of their mini dramas are better than their normal length dramas. The only one I’m watching on their live right now is WOL.

Yeap…he never chased her. She did the chasing and he decided when he’d let her catch him. He basically decided when things started and ended. Yi Tang is definitely shamelessly chasing. We’ll see if there’s a back story to that.

Unpopular opinion but the weird relationship they had was on both FL and ML. Yes, FL did wrong with the lies and didn’t prioritize “love” over her career. She sucks at relationships because the only priority she had before was school then work. ML is her second boyfriend since her only other experience is with her deuche ex. Her processing and reigning her emotions after getting caught in her lies and being stood up, cut off by ML is realistic. Especially when it personal and business mixed together where the other person blocks her and doesn’t want to see her. Her apology sucked and thank goodness someone set her straight with that. As for ML, he needs to make up his mind about his own feelings. He shouldn’t chase after FL but he shouldn’t close him self off if he really wants to have something with her. The first part of their relationship kind of reminds me of the “let’s try” beginning of Feng Teng/Shan Shan relationship in Boss and Me. The relationship was not steady and needed this revelation to happen for their relationship to move on the correct path.

When JXN was talking about how a man like XW would never feel sad…want to see when she finds out his winter “disease” is because he witnessed 300 little boys get slaughtered in front of his eyes and was shot at by his father before whatever other crap he went through as a captive.

The Emperor (CP at the time) was there in the background watching them hold the mother with swords at her throat so he knew about that. He just didn’t know about Duke Xue shooting an arrow at Dingfei or anything else that happened to the Yan’s.

There was never a question about parentage. ML and his mom only served one purpose for him which was to get power and backing from her family. It also probably irks him that the Yan’s come from a long line of powerful and respected military family.
