2- She wanted him to be with someone chosen by her. Instead ZSC chose Shi Yi and rejected all the women she paraded in front of him.
3- I feel that she is helping her real son gain control of the family business etc. But this is not yet evident.
4- I feel that she is holding a grudge because she was forced to marry ZSC's father to legitimize ZSC when his real mother died. Meanwhile she was in love with ZSC's uncle who is now the head of the family until ZSC takes over. And she had an affair with him and he is the real father of her 2 kids.

I actually can't complain about ZSC yet. Because I am not necessarily crazy for the cold and hardened MLs that we see in most dramas. So for me it is a refreshing change and it is more in line with how an inexperienced and humble man would act (which he is). We cannot compare him to the Junior Prince of Nanchen, who at a very young age had to assume responsibility for his family, his men, his people, his country and had seen life and death and suffering. This modern ZSC is a man that has been sheltered and isolated in many ways, plus he comes from an affluent family, even if he did lack love and affection, he has not been touched by the worst things in life like poverty, abuse, mental health issues, etc. And until now has only been responsible for himself. and not a family as big and intricate as his is. So we cannot expect him to be like his younger brothers who have always been under the cloak of all that money and power.

In terms of rewatch value this drama is a 10 for me so far. I have rewatched the first 6 episodes at least 10 times already. I don't understand my obsession with this drama. Maybe because I really liked the book and appreciate all the little changes that were made to the script so far. But I don't know how i am going to move on when this ends. It's funny because I am also watching my Bargain Queen and Crime Crackdown but I keep coming back to this.

Actually, ZSC fell on top of SY on the bed when he was sick around ep 3-4.

Actually, it's always the FL that initiates the kisses in all AR dramas. I just looked at Ms Crow with Mr. Lizard and there was a kiss there as well initiated by the FL.

I actually watched Mask and La Usurpadora and the story is very different. 1_ The FLs were doppelganger not twins. 2. The ML in Mask can't compare with Fernando Colunga, for one because of the mental health issue and he was not manly enough. 3- the plot itself is different.

Did anyone notice that in ep. 8 near the end : SY was saying to herself that in her dream the library tower was far away in the northwest while they were in Jiangnan. The reincarnation issue is a very important piece in this drama. It explains SY unshakeable faith and trust in ZSC.

I agree but here is my take: ZSC in the novel because he kept everything in and never expressed what was going on we don't really know if he was not battling the same hesitation and unsuredness as in the drama. The other thing is that even in the novel it is only after he announces that he is married to Shi Yi and that he returns from Italy that he really takes on the reins of the family. Remember that Shi Yi was almost hurt in Bremen and almost Kidnapped while he was away and I think that is when he really got his act together, because I don't think before that he was really emotionally and mentally involved. I feel that there is a change that will occur but at this point we have to wait for the progression. But I agree that in the novel both Shi Yi and ZSC seem more emotionally committed to each other.

Actually he is like that up to a certain point. Plus something that is not explained in the drama is that he was not involved in the family since he went oversees for college. So now he has to show his mettle. You have to give it some time we are only at the beginning

I think you meant to say EQ (Emotional Quotient) because he has a 190 IQ in the novel and drama.

Ok let's talk about style and fashion : I am digging all of SY's outfits so far. But ZSC really needs to be given a belt, LOL. Every time I see him wearing pants with a tucked in shirt that detail bothers me!! And SY's handbags wow! From the Fendi Peckaboo in EP 1-2, to the Celine bags and then the Bottega Veneta Cassette bag, Can anyone say Handbag Eye Candy Heaven !!!

In the novel they were married right after the visit to the grandmother which is around ep 10 of the drama I think the cliffhanger is going to kill me this weekend!! Or at least SY only finds out that she is married then and only because of the mess with the pregnant woman.
