Because in novel zsc character has an aura while in drama he is a loner doesn't really communicate with people…
In Korea many of actors have a clause that they cannot have a relationship or get married. However, I personally do not like that clause it is absurd. What if it's for religious reasons? Should someone be discriminated against because of their religion and/or refused a job? I think there are many flaws in the ZSC character that have nothing to do with kissing or skinship. But more so to script and direction and production.
I think Shi Yi's part is better written and less confusing. ZSC is being made to look like a dork, so the actor…
IMO, I really do not find him that bad. I agree that Bai Lu really had to push the envelope to make her role better because of his intimacy clause but I also blame the production and script and IQIYI that cut many of the original scenes. Unless he is funding the show, I don't feel that all the blame should be given to him, he might have had a say in how he interpreted the role given to him but the Director was also responsible.
I think Shi Yi's part is better written and less confusing. ZSC is being made to look like a dork, so the actor can only do what he can. Remember that the director is the one that decides after all because he can reshoot a scene tens of times until he gets what he wants. In his mind maybe that is the way he wanted it. Plus the scriptwriter is also consulted about what she wants to convey. Everyone is attacking Allen Ren's choices but don't realize that this is a TEAM effort, the success or failure of the drama is not to be put on his shoulders only. Plus when they hired him they knew he does not do kiss scenes so it's the fault of the person who hired him if he is not right for the part.
I'm currently halfway through watching the prequel but just out of curiosity is there any link in this drama to…
Not really a link more like references and flashbacks. Because they can't really say they were reincarnated because of the restrictions imposed by the Chinese authorities, although Shi Yi has made soo many references that we all know that is what she means.
At first I thought that was an error in the synopsis, since ZSC is the one that was framed in the novel .
Tong Jiaren when she was drunk in Germany went to ZSC's house trying to get him in trouble me thinks. WenXing pushed SY in the water and poisoned her because of Wenchuan.
They have one of the healthiest relationships I have been in asian dramas.
Actually I understand what you are saying, they don't abuse each other verbally, they don't fight for every stupid reason. They are coherent and think and do not make a small thing become a huge disagreement. They respect each other and give each other space. If it was another drama SY would have dumped ZSC 3 times already
