Title Sammy's Children's Day Spoiler
Well, i must admit that i'm a bit disappointed by the finale... or no, it's more about the whole wrap up. At first…
I 100% agree with you. I have just finished the ep and was left with a sensation of wtf has just happened :/
The policemen plot was introduced way too late and they didn't even develop it properly, plus the cliffhanger. The glasses guy comes, drops the plot-twist bomb and then credits lol. And then we don't even know what happened to our cutie mafia boss...
I was completely unaware that this series was supposed to have a second season, so I got caught by surprise, to be honest. If it was announced from the beginning, I would have gone into it with the correct mindset and I wouldn't be so disappointed now.

Title Burnout Syndrome Spoiler
Totally agree with you.But the message of this serie in my opinion was clear(Accept the existence of AI as artists…
Oh that is an interesting take! For me the AI thing was more of a moral ridge between Jira and Koh. What I took from it at the end was more on the interpersonal relationships side: some people end up with a partner who is not good for them, even though they know it, and they just live while being in bad relationships.
At least that is what I got from the ending, because Koh never expressed feeling sorry for what he did to Jira and his art without his permission, and Jira never showed that he had grown out of that obsession with Koh, so.... well. It is what it is.

How this got a 7.4 I still don't understand.
The story was a mess, the acting was mostly terrible and the chemistry of the main couple was below zero...
This is one drama I would never recommend anyone to watch.

Dew's acting in this was superb! I loved all the little nuances and mannerisms he added to Pheem's character. The scene in the "breaking things" room was my absolute favourite in the whole series.
Also, props to the original artist of all the art pieces in the drama, they were absolutely breathtaking!! The colours, the flowers, the shapes... just everything was gorgeous. I hope they make an exhibition out of it!

About the series, I loved it but I wish the director/writer had been a little bit more daring with the ending. To be honest, I would never have made Jira and Koh end up together. It felt like Jira didn't learn anything from his whole experience with Koh and Koh ended up getting what he wanted without ever fully understanding Jira.
The only character who seemed to learn something was Pheem, who eventually accepted that Jira was not for him and chose to move on while still being supportive of him.

Anyway, once again, the default setting of the couple (OffGun in this case) having to be together at the end kind of lowered my final rating of this series.

I agree the end was a bit forced in more ways than one.
I would have loved to have a couple more episodes in which they developed their relationship before finally dating :(

The story was very nice, with some depth to it and some representation of anxiety and work issues. Also, there were some very nice frames in regards to cinematography and sound/image.
The only sad thing was the ending kiss and scene, as many other users have pointed out. It was plain to see that they didn't feel comfortable kissing, for some reason.

I don't quite understand the hype around this series, to be honest. I started with high expectations and, in the beginning, the series was dark and attractive, albeit a little bit chaotic in regards to edition. However, as it went on, I stopped understanding what their relationship was about or why, suddenly, Jeonghan wanted Iljo so bad and loved him so much, when basically NOTHING happened between him using Iljo as a human doormat and him hurting so so bad because Iljo wanted to leave.
Also, I have to say I'm a bit tired of the "I didn't say anything not to hurt you" and "I am leaving for your own good even though I haven't asked for your opinion" trope in dramas. Communication is a thing in the 21st century, thank you.
I do not know if it was a problem of the edition and production of the series, as I mentioned before, but I felt like staggering through the whole story and through their feelings without knowing what was really happening.
Summing up, I believe the idea was good but the execution was not.

No need to apologise! hehe that's what the comment section is for, to discuss our critical views on the series :))
Plus, I completely agree! Of course, love helps with healing trauma and becoming better, but the main character of that change needs to be the person themselves. When in dramas they heal everything with the power of love, it makes people have unrealistic expectations in real life, in search for a love that will "cure" their soul from their trauma or problems.
I am also looking forward to "Gunshot" next year! It looked like an amazing plot!

Could be! I wouldn't hate that option if Koh takes the time to work on himself, because right now he clearly is a huge red flag: emotionless, authoritarian, controlling, detached...

I would love for one of this series to talk about a toxic character going to much needed therapy, especially when it's clear they have serious trauma in their life. However, they just never do. It all gets "solved" thanks to the power of love, and to be honest, that is hardly the case in real life. I think that's why many people end up believing that and staying in unhealthy relationships, despite not being the best for them.

For sure! Also because it is a K-BL and one of the leads is an ex-idol, so it's extra special, I get it hahaha.

For example, we know that the scum half-brother hates Iljo, but they don't even tell you what the circumstances of Iljo's adoption/integration into the family were.
So, well, all the characters seem kind of "flat" to me, idk if that makes sense. As you said, we have the aggressive possessive top, the innocent and self-deprecating bottom, the scum villain of a half-brother and the nice guy who seems to like the bottom but is gonna get nothing in return. But they don't have much more to them.

As much as Iljo seems to have some drive to ask for those things and he is not 100% naive, I would have also liked for the director to give us some background about the characters to help us understand them better. I mean, you get bits and pieces here and there, but there has been no real explanation for now on why the characters act how they act or what is their relationship from the beginning. Everything is happening too fast and with not much context, but well, maybe that's just me.

Yeah, I understand why Pheem wants the whole cake! Who would like to have only crumbs of the person he likes?

I mean, I would love it if Jira ends up realising that it is not good for him to be caught up in Koh and Pheem's endless competition and chooses to say bye-bye to both of them. He would walk away with experiences to enrich his art but also with a more grown version of himself <3

My thoughts on that "kiss"? 💋 It's not a kiss. It was never a kiss. Jira's lips didn't even move in…
I completely agree with you. As much as I want Jira to be with Pheem (at least for now), I agree that he is going all in for the red flag (just as Jira's best friend said). So, Jira wants to feel the same for Pheem than for Koh because he feels that Pheem is a better option for him and they get along very well, but his primal instinct leads him to Koh constantly (and sadly, in my opinion lol).
I got sooooo frustrated at the end of the episode, I couldn't cope.

To be honest, at this point for me the best ending would be that Jira ended up with none of them hahaha.

I am sorry but I don't understand how this has an 8.1 average in here.

The problem for me was clearly not the actors, but the whole story and production. They both were sloppy and repetitive. I swear I saw the exact same episode from ep 3 onwards... it was a cycle of Pheem getting attacked, Than going to save him, some doubts about Pheem's morality sprinkled here and there and then repeat all over again. All of it mixed with Chet's constant screaming at everyone and for everything, Risa being sketchy and the patriarch being an awful father.

I don't know, I really like DaouOffroad, their chemistry (on and off-screen) is clearly outstanding, but this series was disastrous. It is a pity because it looked amazing in the trailer and I thought we were going to get some change in their usual roles (which we did at the beginning) and a serious action drama, but well...
I also liked the chemistry of Chet and Park, but in all that craziness of a story, they didn't even spare a moment to tell us why they were so attached to each other, how Park started being Chet's bodyguard or why he was so extremely loyal to him. I would have loved some more background to their relationship.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, of course, but I found this series really mediocre and even laughable to watch at some point. A pity for what DaouOffroad deserve... I just hope their next drama is better.

Title Me and Who Spoiler
------ SPOILERS AHEAD ------

The best part of this series was undoubtedly the two couples. I had seen BigPark previously in Monster next door and to be honest, they deliver fluff like no one else. Their interactions feel genuine and I was happy that we got to see a more adult version of what we had seen in their previous drama. Their kisses are super good and natural and I love their chemistry overall.

As for the second couple, JengPan/PanJeng(?), I was left wanting more. I wasn't expecting so many scenes of them in the last ep (especially the NC), but they were delightful. Their intimate scene was very prettily executed and the light of the projector just added a touch of magic to it. I loved it!

As for the rest of the drama, there were plenty plenty of holes throughout the plot and I still don't fully understand what happened with the real Apo. I don't know, it was a bit messy overall...
Also, where did Apo's second friend go? Like, he was there throughout the whole series, and suddenly he disappeared from the picture and didn't even come to their wedding? wtf.

I don't know, I wish they would have made Thorn go back to his world and meet Ya over there somehow, or something along those lines. I didn't like or understand much the whole "purgatory conversation" of Apo and Thorn and I felt it was a bit out of Apo's character, as he was previously described. But well, it is what it is!

I’m also baffled by the high rating. I’m just not feeling this one. If I was binging this all at once I would…
Same! I skip through the most nonsense parts and just watch the scenes that seem interesting. Most of the characters in the show feel flat and they do things in a whim, I don't really see their motivations or anything.
And also, I am not trying to be offensive, but I think Tae (Ice) needs some more acting training, especially with facial expressions...
