I mean yeah it didn’t age well but it also was considered toxic when airing. I remember me & my friends would do review videos & most of us had issues with a lot of the toxicity. The problem though is even when people pointed out the toxic parts, there’d be fans jumping us for acknowledging it. I will say I’m glad that for the most part nowadays you can point out problems with a series & not as many aggressive fans will attack you as they used to.
I was literally threatened & briefly stalked for having issues with certain problems with TT. Thankfully that hasn’t happened in a while with more current BLs.

I absolutely adore Hongseok so I really wanted to give this series a watch, but I just finished episode 4 & I’m thinking about dropping it.
There’s not really anything wrong with it, the acting is good, the romance could be a bit better but it’s not awful. Buts it’s not really what I typically like as a BL or as a romance in general. I should’ve read the synopsis first, so that’s my fault, but I’m not usually big on previously established relationship romances. I prefer watching the build up & the change in feelings. Seeing as they had a previous romance of sorts, I feel like we don’t get to really see how it started in as much detail.
So unfortunately, though it’s pretty cute, I may either have to drop this series or at least put a pause in it.

Just saw him in Connecting to You & had to pause it to see if he’s the same guy in the early HIStory series & Secrets in the Hot Springs. I knew I recognized him! I’ve always adored him, he’s so great at comedic roles, I gotta watch more of his stuff!

He always ever so slightly reminded me of Jun from Seventeen somehow. Especially when he had longer hair lol

I don’t know what it is, but in certain scenes in “The Servant Prince” he reminds me so much of Orguri Shun in his older shows.

I feel like I’d be fine with this series if Ai wasn’t babied so much.
Like, I know a lot of people seem to not like Okumi smiling all the time, but I don’t mind it, I actually find his smile cute. But what I don’t like is Ai acting like a child (while even specifically saying he doesn’t want to be treated like one, but then turns around & acts like one anyways) & Okumi treating him like one.
The age gap is a bit much, that’s true. But it wouldn’t be too much of a deal with Ai being in his 20s if he actually acted that age. He literally acts like a 14 year old half the time & it’s so cringe.

I know at least some of the music isn’t AI. Somebody a few weeks ago shared downloadable links to a few of the ballad songs that are sung by the leads but they don’t come up on Shazam. However, I’m not sure about the rest. If they’re using AI for all the b-roll shots, it wouldn’t surprise me if they use it for some of the music too.

I haven’t & will not watch this show. However, I never even said the actor who was 15 at the time of filming (not 16 yet) was traumatized. I said IF they are having minors act out inappropriate relationships with adults, they aren’t protecting that child.

The thing that started my disagreement with minmin, the person who blocked me, was that they brought up AOC in Thailand, which doesn’t mean anything more than adults finding loopholes to be with kids. With their statement specifically bringing up Thailand’s AOC laws, they stopped talking about just the show & about the moral & long lasting issues with it all as a whole. & as someone who was taken advantage of by an adult when I was 16, I can tell you even if a teen thinks it’s okay at the time, they grow up realizing it’s not & the adult the entire time knows better.

I’m telling you as someone who had a bad experience with an adult when I was a teen, it doesn’t matter if it’s legal in other countries or not; adults shouldn’t be having romantic or sexual relationships with someone under 18. Even if it’s just acting, you’re not completely protecting that child if you’re having them act out an inappropriate relationship with an adult.
