it doesnt comply with the rules they have set. it is basically a plot-hole lol. so yeah, bad writing.
The rules changed because of the VIPs. To me, it’s stupid that they were able to start calling the shots but at the same time, the final round is specifically for the VIPs & their entertainment. It isn’t bad writing for them to comply with the main point of the games- to entertain the rich.
Had so much potential, and the leads had that mysterious chemistry that needed to be explored even more, this…
I got a notification that you replied to my comment but I can’t see it anywhere? 😭 I assume it may have to do with our differing opinions on Jun & Harding though? Lol, if so, I actually do see your point. I haven’t watched this in a bit so my memory is a little hazy but I do remember there was for sure some toxic traits in those two. I guess I overlooked it purely out of bias-ness as I’m a huge sucker for side couples 😅 I think I also was looking at the chemistry the actors had (from what I remember, I thought they had great chemistry?) & the cliche trope they followed of childhood friends but almost a love-hate relationship? Again, I can’t completely remember so I could even possibly be off with that lol. But I definitely do agree with your points.
This was so good and deserves a higher rating, but y'all wanna always hype up and watch the nasty incest bls 🙄.
I haven’t watched this in a while so I don’t remember it much in detail but I do remember loving the concept but finding the execution lacking. I also remember starting the novel & it being weird af, a scene where Chi Cheng’s snake went up a lady’s…. Ya know…. Lol
But I 100% agree that way worse/weirder concepts like literal incest seem to be in way more people’s watchlist. I might try giving it another watch though because I really forgot almost everything from this series.
(Edit to add: I haven’t started the newer version yet but caught another comment of yours, they’re step bros in the remake?? Oof, if that’s true, I’m gonna have to skip giving the remake a try)
Lol, what a wild take. If he really did do what he is accused of & gets convicted, then he deserves no support.
It’s honestly people like this who make it hard for people to come forward. It took me years to publicly speak about the inappropriate behavior I received from a celebrity that also lasted years in itself. When I finally did, I received instant backlash from fans. Parasocial relationships are so dangerous. These celebrities aren’t always who you think they are. Just because you watch them on TV or online doesn’t mean that’s how they are in real life. It sucks that the celebrity I had a weird and inappropriate relationship with still has fame & fans, but there’s nothing I can do about that other than speak the truth. This person calling me bitter for simply warning about the dangers of people you don’t know & the irreversible harm and trauma they can inflict is wild. With how hard they’re d**k riding someone who doesn’t know or care that they exist is quite tragic.
Lol, what a wild take. If he really did do what he is accused of & gets convicted, then he deserves no support.
I just have to assume you’re a troll at this point because if not, then it’s sad as hell that there are people this dumb in the world lmao. Good luck with your weird ass victim blaming/ rapist apologist mindset. I hope you never have to experience a similar situation and proceed to get the same treatment you give others.
Lol, what a wild take. If he really did do what he is accused of & gets convicted, then he deserves no support.
& that’s the problem. You’re taking the side of some random celebrity that’s been accused & arrested.
& you’re making crazy leaps lmaooo. I loved the series he was in & liked him as an actor. But when I read what happened, I was able to separate my like for the series & character with real life possibilities. It’s wild for you to suggest therapy to me, a person who is well aware that celebrities aren’t faultless deities rather than yourself, a person batting hardcore for a dude that doesn’t even know you exist. I’d say I’m way more in touch with reality than you seem to be.
I hope you work out whatever weird internal issues you seem to have that causes you to put so much of your support in a potential molester.
Some of you guys have very weird parasocial relationships & obsessions with these people who don’t know you at all…
Though my situation is a bit different than this one, I had an inappropriate relationship with a celebrity I loved when I was 16 & was taken advantage of due to the power dynamic. To see so many dub accusers as anything other than victims is insanely hurtful. Just because it hasn’t happened to you doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. Celebrities are just as capable of doing awful things like everyone else. For them to be put on such a high pedestal that people will stick up for them & discredit victims even after he was arrested & fired? Crazy work.
Lol, what a wild take. If he really did do what he is accused of & gets convicted, then he deserves no support.
As someone who was taken advantage of by a celebrity, I know those things happen & it’s much more common for a celeb to be inappropriate with someone than for someone else to lie about it. I spent years living with the after effects of the things that happened to me while the guy whom I even spoke out about roams free to live his life.
IF this guy did what he did, then he deserves every bit of consequences. He deserves so support or love from fans.
I can’t stand the “what if the other person is a crazy liar” debate. Only 5-8% accusations are made up. I have hella proof on my situation but am still dubbed as a liar from many people with unhealthy parasocial relationships with the celebrity. Because of my experience & knowing that it’s much more probable that he did what he’s accused of rather than the other person being a liar, I feel that your original comment is a wild take. You don’t know this man & the fact that you’re offering support even during a time of heavy accusations is a very “nutcase” thing to do. IF Kenshin is convicted, then that’s it. Idgaf if he lost everything he had, that would be his fault. & if you continue to support him, then that says a lot about you & your perception of reality.
I have a few more episodes left but I gotta say, I do enjoy this series a bit more than the original. It’s been a while since I watched the first but I feel like I remember feeling that I couldn’t see Noh’s feelings much. Like it was obvious Phun liked him, but I didn’t see it much on Noh’s end. In this version, I can feel it much more. You can see that Noh truly does care very much for Phun. As I said, I still have a few episodes left but I’m losing hope for Earn & Pete. I was really hoping they’d do more with their pairing as I liked them a lot in the 2014 version but I’m barely getting any crumbs from them :( But I will say that I feel the other pairings get more development than the first version which is nice. Oh, one last thing, I know many are very taken aback by their ages, which I get. But this is a coming of age series & I think they do well with that. I definitely appreciate that there’s nothing sexual, but I wouldn’t find anything wrong with a light & sweet kiss scene. Obviously not like making out or anything but I find nothing wrong with showing the love between two teens in a very light way. However, even without any true kiss scenes so far, I still feel they did a great job showing the feelings between Phun & Noh.
Man, I gotta reread the webtoon because it’s been ages & I remember almost nothing from it, & truthfully, I think I’m mixing up other webtoon with it when I try to remember it. Is the series much different?
Man, I haven’t read this webtoon in forever so honestly I feel like I was going into the series blind lol I do remember I enjoyed the webtoon & so far, the series definitely has me hooked!
It took me an embarrassingly long time to realize this is an omegaverse theme. Not until I read these comments actually. I was confused and figured he was just using alpha in the cringe way many people do nowadays lmao I’m on episode 3 now though, it’s an alright series so far. Hoping it doesn’t get really strange as I’m not typically an omegaverse fan and usually stay away from those stories.
It’s been years since I first watched this movie & I always come back to it every so often. I must’ve watched it over 10 times! It will always be my favorite Korean film & the number one movie I recommend to others who are fine with subtitles & thriller/suspense movies!!
I started off really enjoying this drama but I will say that the “because your parent is bad and hurt our family, we can’t be together” angst trope annoys me. I have two episodes left so I’m sure things will work themselves out, but I just always got annoyed with how much they (all shows with this trope) pin their trauma on the other lead like it was their fault. In this one, the Sim family had a crap dad but they didn’t turn out like him and no one blamed them for his doing. So why do it to Dongjin? He’s not his mom. I get it’s for conflict purposes but it really frustrates me. Unless he was helping his mom or backing her up in her crap decisions, they should cut him some slack. (P.s. If Jun & Hyeseong don’t end up together, I’ll really rage! They’re the only ones keeping me on this drama now lol)
Man, I just finished “High School Return of a Gangster” & was really liking him in it until I read what he did in real life. This guy is trash & shouldn’t be getting roles! There are far better older male actors who are better deserving to get the roles this scum is.
I love the positive differences like the lack of severe bullying & a less toxic ML. Don’t get me wrong, I adore…
Also, I loved the cameos!! Wish Tsukasa had a second appearance at the end & I really wish Tsukushi had a cameo as well. I believe she could have added a lot. How cute would it have been if they showed how similar their love stories were by having her appear?! Very! She could have been a perfect example to show why Haruto shouldn’t have given up even with their different backgrounds & when others are against them. But at the same time, I still do adore Haruto not seeing the similarities & thriving to be like the great Tsukasa Domyoji. (Poor Akira being basically an afterthought yet again. All he gets is a name mention 😭)
