I find this type of comments so weird, cant you just wait, watch it and cry after? šŸ˜‚
I am allowed to state my opinion, no?
It’s just it’s overdone… he’s going to be rather arrogant, have a crush on the FL, and act entitled about her even though his chances to get her would be about 0 (which makes the character always look so stupid…) especially already after she is married to the ML. I’m like 93% sure this is going to go like that (based on character descriptions), which is very similar to what happens in a lot of other romcoms, and makes it really hard to like the SML character, and I’d really want to like him (not in a SML syndrome sense, but just like him separately from the love storyline, just as a character for himself) especially, as he is being played by a talented actor, who I am a fan of and who doesn’t have that many roles (when you think about it).
Plus, all the other things about this drama look promising, so the love-triangle issue is even more bothersome in comparison/becomes a bigger downside.

I’m almost sure that there’s going to be a love triangle (ML FL and SML) and I am so not into that, ugh

That's what I'm wondering too lol. Honestly, some Korean right wingers are kinda crazy so they will attack anyone…
Like, he’s literally just stating a fact.
Also, I guess, basic views defining ā€œright wingā€ and ā€œleft wingā€ are similar, but those terms stand for a bit different beliefs/opinions depending on each country (like ā€œleft wingā€ means something a bit different in the US, Korea, Japan etc. for example) so a lot of this depends on cultural context.
Anyway, still, I don’t get how is this situation a big controversy, knetz are overly sensitive about everything, I see.

This whole situation is such a nothing-burger (situation lacking in substance and blown out of proportion, compared to it’s importance, actually not very significant etc.).

And honestly, it’s all about opinions and preferences, and there are as many of those as people, so everyone will always argue about something… there should just be content made for both parties/sides of the discussion and that’s it), but since the C government got involved and people blew it up so much, there are probably going to be some more serious consequences of this all (where that could have been avoided). It was a cdrama-making/cdrama-land critique/scandal but now it’s turned into a political agenda (which is an unfortunate course of action, ridiculous development - however, not totally unexpected, I guess, via past experiences) .

Also to make it clear, literally none of this is Zhang Ling He’s fault, so I do hope he’ll not catch any serious heat from this.

Edit: not really talking about weight though, I agree that a lot of these celebrities are too skinny for their own good and healthy, and toxic industry standards should be challenged.

"To portray a realistic sense of being struck and exhaustion""Every time it's real hits and real reactions,"…
Probably there wasn’t, but from bts of dramas involving some action, that I’ve seen, it’s not that rare to have them beat each other up for real (probably still not as strong as it would have been in real life, but they do hit each other). Like with one drama with Lay from EXO in a main role.
It’s not very healthy, but we’ll, if it’s pretty normalized…
Or it could be the translation issue, maybe what he means is that they made contact (so no real beating, but you know, that fake kind of fight like the do in a lot of movies worldwide, when they do dynamic hits and touch each other but without real strength at the last moment - moment of contact) so they did fight and really ā€œbeatā€ and hit each other, but it was acting, but that didn’t completely fake it or use a stunt double. Those interviews tend to be answered/translated in a flowery language that doesn’t accurately represent the original sense of what they say sometimes.

Justice for zhang linghe coz what the heck, and he cant even clap back.
agree, it seems like because the drama is really well shot and popular, he’s become the public target; whereas the MLS in all historical cdramas are styled in the same way, if they’re going to criticize, they should criticize the industry standards as a whole and not a single actor and/or sigle drama.

Title Gold Digger
30 Year age Gab Noona Romance lolI bit toooo large agegap for me šŸ˜…šŸ˜…But I'll wtach anyway because of the…
I think, it’s probably meant to be less like a regular romance drama, and more challenging/uncomfortable, hence such a big age gap and different tone.

They only filmed 30 so only one was cut down.
Oh, okay then, thank you!
