Idk⦠I see quite a lot of people in the comments dropping this drama already⦠the summary sounds interesting, but I have no idea how itāll turn out in the end.
Loved this drama! What I think is especially great about it, is how it's different from other action/crime/mystery/thriller korean dramas that Iāve seen. In other dramas, often the biggest mystery of the series is the answer to the question of āwho is the culprit?ā āwho killed?ā or āwho is the mastermind behind all of this?ā.
Here, the viewer can guess who the ābad guyā or rather the criminal is from the very first episode (theyāre not really a ābad guyā theyāre the main character in this story, and not an opposing force to the protagonist). We know the identity of the ācriminalā before the other main characters (that would be the āgood guyā the cop of this story, but again theyāre more of just the main character than a lawful "good guy" protagonist), and even they find it out just couple of episodes in. So the dramaās main riddle isnāt about someoneās identity or motives, itās about who will come out on top by the end of it. The story is centered around two main characters dancing around each other, playing cat and mouse. We see how they try to outsmart each other, how their dynamic changes time after time. Itās a new, interesting perspective.
Of course, there are some identity reveals and plot twists, but theyāre related to subplots and specific episodes rather than the core of the characterās dynamic.
All in all, I think that this drama could be called fresh plot-wise, itās very enjoyable and definitely worth watching.
I'm thinking about to watch this drama, but I'm not sure yet.Can someone please let me know, what this drama is…
Iām not good at summarizing without spoiling the plot, so just better see the description provided by MDL but if youād like to hear my opinion on the drama⦠I loved it! Itās weird sometimes, it has a bit of a dark humor and grotesque, but the story is unique and the characters are interesting. I've seen some people say that it has boring moments, but i think there's a difference between "boring" and "slower paced" and this drama if anything, would be the latter. Even if you would not like it as much as I did, itās still worth watching. (and itās pretty short, the 12 episodes fly by!)
I also asked the same question here before but NO ONE answered me or ppl here also simply just don't know LOLSo…
Thank you for this long reply! I guess, maybe majority of people here arenāt interested in this matter and costumes in such depth⦠Anyway, I wouldnāt care about the names they use for the characters in the drama that much, since itās likely they wouldnāt use ethnically accurate names (for whatever reasons, maybe political? maybe just to be more mainstream? Idk)
Based on what you said, and what Iāve seen⦠youāre right it seems to be inspired by Mongolian tribe(s). Also maybe a bit similar to ethnic groups from Xinjiang province (those are mainly Turkic people though)?
Does anyone know what ethnic group/their culture is the inspiration for the costumes in this drama? They look really cool! Song Wei Long looks amazing in that styling!!!
Ahhhhh I need to catch up on this drama asap! (when Iām not sick š) Last time, I commented my opinion here it was after watching second episode, and since then I know that Iāve been mistaken about some of the characters motives. The characters and plot turned out kinda unexpected, very interesting, since it was different from what I thought it would be.
I became more fond of Chris, heās such a textbook example of a troubled young man, who has been let down and kinda lost himself while trying to achieve somethingā¦
From the other comments I see that FL is still acting irresponsibly, at least I wasnāt wrong about that when judging her character after episode two.
If you donāt mind me asking, do you know how is this series connecting to the movie (besides the main cast being the same)? The plot of the series seems to take place over a century later that the plot of the movieā¦
this drama isnāt that good, itās an average rom com with some entertaining plot points and fun or interesting scenes. But itās well shot (from what I remember, itās been some time lol). Because it was one of the first kdramas that Iāve ever seen, itās very nostalgic for me. I like it more because of this feeling, but other than that itās not something Iād watch again. To be honest, itās quite possible that I wouldnāt have watched it at all, if I stumbled upon it just now. I like the lead actress though.
It's really enjoyable, especially if you like bromance. Basically one dude has a car accident and then goes back…
Oho! Thatās interesting! So heās in a bromance with himself and the real owner of the body heās in is forced to be in a bromance with him too?? Thatās sounds so funny š
Guess what is the biggest joke of 2024?? of course it's Starlight boys final ranking... Are they conducting circus…
Iām sad that XingXing didnāt get to be a part of the debut lineup, because heās super talented but from what I know his main fan base stopped voting for him, after consultation with his management. He probably didnāt want to debut from the show due to all the issues, but he couldnāt withdraw either (the contestants who withdrew most likely had to pay fees etc and not everyone is able to do that, also depends on what kind of contracts they signed with the showās producers/production company). But Iām not sure if all this information is legitimate.
Heās still young, so he should still look good/as he used toā¦
