half way throughβ¦.i hope it gets better. i truly truly truly loved the first one and i can see why folks would…
The acting as expected are of high standard. Cinematography are good and on point but unfortunately, It didn't get better for me. The righteous trope is a lazy way of story telling. In the end they are all become violent. Trying to change violence with violence is never the right thing to do. They only hurt themselves and really didn't solve anything. The story become boring and sentimental and just like that nothing to rave about but the comical genius of Han Ho Yul π
The story was so messy and the ending makes you feel that the drama shouldn't have been made. Why so much fuss…
For me it's not the writer but the direction of the entire series. I binged-watch that's why i was able to finish. I felt bad for the actors esply Shin Hye Sun as she was blamed for lackluster acting. The director should aimed for a character who are searching for truth than showing us a person with narcissistic personality and a borderline psychopath. Her dialogue about dating SeoHa was really frustrating. She just kept on and on about it that the character looks pitiful. If the dialogue were reversed the ML will look like a pervert. The storyline is interesting, it's the director who ruined it.
Finished it finally and I am more satisfied with the ending than I thought I'd be. I was getting really bored…
you are right there, how can she not remember Ae kyung when she technically supported her when she run away from her abusive father. They could just make it like Ae Kyung adopted her and she has no recollections of her early years... I like the storyline but the direction is a bit topsy turvy. I would watch it again if there's ever a remake and different director.
Dr Cha reminded me of a song by Billy Joel, She always a woman 'She is frequently kind and she's suddenly cruel But she can do as she pleases, she's nobody's fool And she can't be convicted, she's earned her degree And the most she will do is throw shadows at you But she's always a woman to me...'
She has a strong character to be called a victim. Though it's uncalled for the husband to cheat on her but wait for things to come now that she finally realised what's going on...
She and her husband no longer sleeps together. There is no love lost between them. The funny part when she said that 'he's dead' tells us that he's really dead to her. She's only staying because of her children. That's why when Dr Kim blatantly asked when will she going to divorce him. She didn't react negatively to the intrusion of her private life but only explained that getting a divorce is harder than getting married.
Viewers hate the cheating couple and yet silently shipping Dr Cha with Dr Kim, when Dr Cha is obviously still married. She took a ride on his motorbike with even her son looking. They are silently flirting and it's okay because he's way better looking than the husband. Double standard eh.
That's why I'm convinced that she stayed on a loveless marriage because she wanted to not because she's helpless or had no other choice.
P.S I am not blaming Dr Cha I actually like her modern character. It's just that I don't pity her. I watched similar stories and Romance is a Bonus Book has more to offer in terms of a woman's struggle to get back on her feet, also Second 20's and A Cunning Single Woman.
I just saw one video which predicted that the mistress daughter might not be Inho's daughter and maybe she was…
I think it's really his child. But the child is harbouring bad feelings so she might do something harmful to break up Dr Cha's family. She was looking at their family portrait. She's jealous at them looking like a perfect family.
The husband's character is unredeemable. No character development will change viewer's view on him. Divorce is highly likely. To top it all, their house is under Dr Cha's name. It was mentioned that she looked after her father in-law before he dies, perhaps he bequeathed his house to her. So the cheating husband comeuppance will be no job, no house, no family, no mistress and No Hair!
I must be the only one here who sympathised with the mistress. They are each other's first love and she could have taken him away from her while she's pregnant but she did not. She was disowned by her family, suffered being a mistress all the time and a single mum. She got pregnant but didn't rid of the baby because she badly wanted to meet her child. Yes she done things wrong but it doesn't make her a bad person.
On the other hand except for being cheated on by her husband, I don't think Doctor Cha is in an abusive relationship. She even mentioned it to Dr Kim that it's not as if she doesn't have the money or time, she doesn't know why she only come to enjoy her life at this time. She's comfortable serving her family doing her filial duty until her health scare. Doctor Cha has strong character, she was used because she wanted to be useful. Except for her husband cheating. Everything else that happened to her was her own doing. Not a victim here.
I am more interested in the romance between the brother and the aunt than the main leads I find her main lead…
I couldn't agree more. I like the storyline but i can't stand the M/F leads acting. Lee Ha Na was also the reason i couldn't watch Voice's sequel. I only watched Voice 1 bcoz of Jang Hyuk.
I just hope this won't be second "mouse" I didn't enjoy mouse as I thought I would
I only watched the first episode of mouse. I dropped it after watching the scene where the child was being interrogated by the police w/o an adult or a rep from social service. It's too far-fetched for me from then on... Stranger is a slow start but will eventually pick up its pace. Once you get the storyline it will keep your interest till the end without hanging questions or doubt about the story executions.
Actually, where did she go? Bring back the drama writer, she was so cute and tbh she did match Hyun-jae's energy
Perhaps she's on standby. The preview for next ep. insinuating that Mi-rae and Hyun Jae could be related. Maybe it will be use as a conflict between them, then they will be apart but in the end there will be a big reveal πππ
Hyun Jae, take your cousin's advice and don't get married. You and Mirae are not a match made in heaven. She's too weak of a character to match your alpha male ego. Just be friends and let her find herself first. She seems lost and in need of constant validations. How about the drama writer, she's a match with your character.
This show is so bananas, you'd think it was Taiwanese or Thai. In that sense, I liked it at first and it started…
Thank you for your honest review. I started this sometime ago but I dropped it coz i can't stand the FL, she uses her voice too much that irritates... i am thinking of picking it up again because I miss Ji Sung but perhaps i'll pass this one.
