It was okay, the virtual game was fun, but the whole story of the revenge theme, break-up, death of a father, toxic step-family, cohabitation and secrets have all been done in drama land. So nothing new there. Even their kisses felt flat in the last 3 episodes. The story is nothing new. But to be fair, I like the FL, not the usual stupid damsel in distress acting. Her clothing, even though casual attire, is not the common ordinary wardrobe that most FL office characters in C-dramas wear, and she also wears less make-up and is not so pasty. The ML is okay, but just so-so. It's an 8/10 for me.

I'm on ep24. How can Hu Xui change overnight? Didn't she promise to be there for him? She's all so loving so far the entire time and has a strong conviction and wham after an online exposé, which happened when Zhi Yu was still young and also a victim of persecution. Why did she have a sudden change of heart? If I were the ML I would turn my back on her and just find someone else. Damn, I was loving their stories and suddenly the FL had become weak, and her family was toxic. No amount of 'happy ending' tropes will make me change my views about the FL actions. My own happy ending is for ML to end with someone else. And the FL can die single and just support her parents until she's old and grey. Argh, I have never been so disappointed with a FL before.

The ML is a cutie and can act. Though the storyline in itself is frustrating. He had so many accidents, and he survived them all. He also tried to fight for their love against his mum, but he gave up in the end, and you can feel all his frustrations on the screen. It's a good watch in ffwd mode. It's a shame the ML actor does not have many roles in modern dramas.

They go back and forth, breaking up and making up. They have gone on lots of heartbreaking scenarios that a writer can think of. They survived them all, so it was a happy ending. A handful of kisses here and there. I watched it in a day. I spent time on the first 10 episodes, then I f-fwd the rest. I skipped the second couple scenes. The drama scenes where they need to cry are well executed. It's 7.5 / 10 for me.

I watched it on Viki in one day with lots of scene/episode skipping. For me it's a 8.0. I watched it first because of the FL, but got hooked by the ML's acting. I think he was really suited for the role. It's a shame about him being canceled. I am new to watching Chinese Drama, though not a fan of costume dramas. If anyone can recommend works by actors, male & female, who wear less make-up, because their make-up is too distracting for me to watch. With natural looks like Yang Yang and ZZH.

I do agree with you. I'm on episode 20, and it's pointless to continue. But to be fair, I am feasting my eye on the screen for ML good-looking face. Such a shame that I also don't like the FL from his other drama. I would rather have a good story line than eye candy.

I binge-watched it overnight with lots of fast forward. But the general feel is funny and witty. The ending of episode 16 is heartwarming. His proposal is better than words can express. I like the ML character, not goofy or Mr Bean type. His words may lack tact, but his actions are deep and thoughtful.

I agree with you. I also find the FL as a red flag. At first, she had an inferiority complex and didn't find a proper job because of it. Then we see her almost having a one-night stand with a man she just met and thought nothing of it the next. It is like contradicting behavior. But anyway, this is just a romcom. I may find fault with it and even know where it is heading, but it is enjoyable to watch at the moment. I cannot wait for the next episode.

Me too. I watched it again for the 5th time. There's nothing interesting in kdrama land at the moment, so I'm bingewatching older ones. How I wish some writer can make this kind of story again.

I wanted to drop it in the first 15 minutes of the first episode. First impressions in FL are not good. I decided to finish the first episode and ended with a positive note and anticipation for the second episode only to feel bored halfway through. Dialogues and scenes are dragging. The heavy drama on the client couple is not very convincing. Bickering of lawyers is not only unrealistic but also unprofessional behaviour, and they are supposed to fight for justice. I am predicting that it's going to be a messy drama. Dropped!

I hope he'll have more dramas, as he's so impressive in Oh My Ghost clients. 👍
