is it just me or k don’t like how they just played the FL friend like that was so unnecessary to make her husband…
It wasn't just the infidelity that lead her to make that decision. She said a beautiful line that really sums up her reasoning, and it was "our past was too beautiful for me to accept any impurities". He was dishonest to her and cheated on her. He lied to her multiple times, and his connection to that female client. He knew it was wrong. And once that trust is ruined, it hard to ever gain it again. She was nothing but a supporter for him, and he didn't appreciate that enough. A lot of people choose to get divorced because their partner cheated.
I tried to hate him, but I couldn't if you think about it he was a victim to his father's schemes too, he didn't…
Sure, but that does not excuse nor justify his actions at all. Just because he didn't know does make him any better. He was just as bad as his dad. He ruthlessly hurt the ML, and was just set on destroying him. It was pure hatred and jealousy that ran through his body. Yes, he had daddy issues and was basically abused by his father, but that doesn't mean you can bully others just because you had a hard upbringing/life. I guess my empathy maybe runs short.
One of those shows where I can't empathize with second lead syndrome at all (not that I ever did elsewhere, to…
He was just doing too much. The FL didn't even consider him as an option. She never expressed any interest for him. The whole "if I can't have, no one else can" is so overdone. He didn't respect her boundaries, and somehow thought that if he exposes the ML the FL would leave him or essentially get with the SML. He was disrespectful and only did damage.
i feel the same way with you. i originally didn't think much for this one, but reading this comment made me realize.…
I definitely agree! I am just very grateful that all of it was resolved pretty quickly and effectively. However, I still stand by my opinion. Some of her actions were just uncalled for. I think the expectation for him to talk about years pent up of trauma is unrealistic. His plan was not to deceive her, as he clearly wanted to tell her everything when the time was right. But with the way the truth was revealed, he just looked like a liar who was just dishonest to her. And therefore I can also understand her reaction. In ep 25, he tells her that it is none of her business (what he plans on doing with his stepfather), and she proceeds to say that this concerns her as much as it concerns him which I disagree with. She literally broke up with him in the previous episode, and now you want to meddle in with his plans, and demand to be let in? Her dad was hurt because of the accident, yes. That's something you cannot take away from her, but his dad literally died and was deemed a killer. And the ML had to live with so many unanswered questions for most of his life. He was so alone for a long time, so to expect him to just open up and tell her everything is too high of an expectation. His own mom didn't even support him, and wasn't there for him fully. I think that a clear misunderstand happened between them. She was very much affected by what happened to her dad, since her life took a drastic turn as soon as he got injured. She was basically left with most of the responsibility in her household and couldn't even pursue her dream. And I think that she mostly focused on her pain. Him not telling her everything hurt her a lot. They had promised each other to face everything together, so I see her point of view. I really do. I can also imagine that being secretive is also triggering to her, since she probably has trust issues after what her ex-fiancee did to her. I am just trying to be fair to both parties. I critiqued him for being bad at communicating his feelings, when she was pursuing him and how he just distanced himself from her. That was not okay even when we look at his past. But I can also say, that Hu Xiu's words and actions weren't okay when the truth surrounding his dad surfaced. She was unfair, and that's that. But again, it all got solved nicely. She was essentially the reason why he could expose his stepfather. She helped him along the way, and stayed by his side. So all is good!
I have finally completed watching it! I just want to complement Hu Xiu for a moment. It is so rare to see a FL be very steadfast and clear in her intentions. She is so straightforward and so good at expressing her feelings and emotions. There wasn't one moment, where she wasn't honest. She was also the first (many times) to initiate skinship, which isn't something we see a lot. That was so refreshing to see. The romantic scenes were just beyond good. Every single scene was special. I loved how cheeky she was, and how she just carried herself unapologetically. So carefree and jolly. Lu Yu Xiao, you did amazing my love😭🫰🏼 I loved the ML's sense of style as well. He always looked so dapper. He embraced his character, and also executed the role perfectly. It was nice to see Pei Zhen own up to his mistakes, and apologise to Zhi Yu - rightfully so! Great romance, great acting and beautiful music!
I don't think she has ever blamed him for the accident. She was just torn with being in the "Romeo and Juliet'…
I wouldn't say her intention was to blame him - but she kinda did it through her actions and words. Sometimes we can hurt people even though it isn't our intention. That's a human's nature I guess. But needless to say, she is also under a lot of pressure. Especially from her parents.
Thoughts about ep 24. I am truly trying to be very understanding of Hu Xiu. Of course she's gonna be mad at him for witholding a lot of things from her, and not telling her about his past and whatnot. Especially when it concerns her family. However when she said, "I shouldn't have fallen for you", that really hurt. You haven't even figured out what happened properly, and you are already switching on him? It kinda seems like he is also taking the blame of the accident which is not fair to him at all. The whole scene where she made him go with her to her parents apartment was also weird. I got the impression, that she wanted him to feel guilty about the story of her dad and his friend (or she wanted to show him what the accident did to her family). I understand that she wants to be a filial daughter, and that she is in a very difficult position, but it does not excuse how fast she turned on him. She didn't even try to talk to him, or ask questions regarding the accident. He was also incredibly impacted by what happened, and it is clear that it has scarred him. I imagine that the one person who got hurt the most was probably him. Like he was just a child when he lost his dad. Losing him was one thing, but hearing that his dad caused the death of people is a whole other thing. You are hurting, but he's also hurting:( But again, I feel with her and get her. I just wish that she at least tried to understand him as well. I’m not gonna lie, she kinda disappointed me in this ep:(
I have to repeat myself and say that I CAN'T STAND Pei Zhen. He is so annoying, Like what do you mean, "why does it have to be him". WHO ARE YOU?????!!!!!😭
It easier to be vocal when your environment allow you toML lost that loving environment and has been alone..pledge…
That is definitely true. I am also trying to give him some grace, as I understand that he hasn’t grown up with family that allowed to verbalise his feelings. It also seems like he has been pretty much isolated socially his whole life. So it makes sense for sure, that he struggles with talking about his emotions freely and comfortably.
It is kinda frustrating to see the ML's inability to express himself. He does not communicate well, while she is very vocal about what she feels. Like bro, say something😭
