Wang Yang seems to be a hot property at the moment.
Still watching Under the Microscope, but will definitely pick this up after I'm done with that. Hopefully there will be eng subs by that point.

I am convinced there's a script making the rounds of the micro-drama makers... but the acting in the alternative versions I've seen has been abysmal ... I'd also be interested to see a proper treatment of this story outline.

I do a 3x monthly Short Form update on Reddit r/CDrama and I've added your list as a source for short forms. I'm a pretty avid watcher myself, and I'm always happy to see people giving them their place in Dramaland ...

My interest in this drama is focused on the second couple, Jiang Yi Ming and Meng Ran. I've seen a few clips that make me want to see how their relationship turns out .... but so far not enough to invest in actually watching the entire drama.
What I'd love is a clip playlist on YT that just shows their parts of the drama ...

That is the big, BIG question. Whatever it is, it's making her continue to try to stay away from him.

I'm liking this drama, but the FL role is currently making me feel a bit queasy ..
EDIT: she does improve a little as the drama progresses .... lol

That's actually what Tencent has been doing for a while now. The original drama is serialized on Douyin [Chinese Tiktok] then amalgamated and published on Tencent's web service. If you go to their YouTube channel they have a whole playlist of such amalgamated or "Full Version" dramas.

How could they leave out the doctor plot? I've only seen 10 minutes of this drama and I can already tell it's going to be important ...

Right now I don't see how he's going to be anything more than a flat character, basically a placeholder. sigh.

I think it seems so strong because the rest of the face palate is so starkly white. Makes him look oddly bloodless .... so the eye make looks extra lurid ....

Yes. This has been my problem all the way through this drama. The only guy who logically should be this enthralled by her is Qin Ke, because of their experience with the three entry tests. The rest of them don't really know anything about her.

I like him better too. I'm just not feeling Jeremy Tsui. Mind you, he's really good for the "lead immortal" role, but it's hard for me to see him as anything other than a father figure for the FL ... in contrast Deng Wei's character is coming across as a peer, more approachable and willing to accommodate FLs flaws.

IMO Deng Wei looks best in dark colours... but I think there may be something to the makeup comment - not the eyes per se so much as the entire face palate being ... pasty.

The eye makeup is symbolic .... supposed to help express inner state of being. So it has to be pretty visible.

Samael and Lilith are super good at this stuff ... really enjoying this!
