Just finished 12-14, and I admit I'm still enjoying the plot. The action slowed down a bit in the last two episodes, and we're seeing more development of the intrigue aspects of the plot, but it's keeping the overall dramatic tension alive. Romantic aspects of the plot are also coming to the fore, but in a relatively muted way. Things look set to escalate to another major turning point in the the next few episodes. My favorite character of this set of episodes has to be Sikong Changfeng, the Xueyue City Lord. He's just an all-round cool elder figure - smart, cool under pressure, and empathetic. The actor portraying this role, He Zhong Hua, is doing an excellent job. He's appearing in several dramas that are on my TBW list, and I'm happy to see more of him.
Funny how all the asians seem to be obsessed with "CEO"s. Somehow I doubt they even know what it actually means,…
It's a translation of "boss". In this particular drama the guy is really supposed to be a "CEO" figure, except more along the lines of a tong leader ... lol ...
When will this air and is this one of those short legthned series...?
Likely to be a short form, from the story summary ... lol. Looks like people have been waiting for a few months already. ... Hopefully it'll come out soon.
Hmmmm.... I've watched the first three episodes and so far I am enjoying .... however, I can't help thinking that the FL needed to concentrate less on making her boss second and more on making herself first. There doesn't seem to be much character development going on. Frankly, it's pretty obvious from episode 1 than her boss is gone on her and has been for years. She's supposed to be reliving the past and seeing him in a more positive light as a result, but IMO the problem in their relationship has always been that she formed a first impression of him and never matured beyond it. I'll probably watch the rest of this - it's not bad as a romantic drama - but I'm not going to rate this all that highly unless we begin to see some positive changes in the FL's attitudes and behaviours.
Just the title itself is off-putting. This is a pass for me because there is nothing humorous about the subject…
Just the fact that they made a whole drama about it is encouraging, especially if the FL is body positive [which it seems she is] and doesn't cave in to the pressure of losing weight to be pretty.
