I noticed one thing. In ep 25, Yinlou is wearing a gold necklace, presumably gifted by King Fu. Then at the boat scene she is still wearing the necklace and Xiao Duo throws it. In ep 26, Rong'an finds the necklace and returns it to King Fu. I assume it as: Liancheng doesn't die as Yinlou calls the Zhaoding men to save him. Then Xiao Duo kidnaps her to the boat. It's just cruel to have romantic scene right after her cousin died 🤔 well it's not wrong to have hope, right?

For next episode: that disgusting emperor uses Yinlou's hands to stab her cousin!?? And he expects after this she will love him??? What kind of logic is that??? He kills her cousin, how can she then falls in love with him??? He is having a god-tier delusion.
I hope she remembers people from Zhaoding are protecting her. So if Liancheng is still breathing, she must order those men to help him 🙏🙏🙏

They can't use forbidden as the title bcs it is really a forbidden love between an eunuch with a consort. It's not good. So they changed it into unchained. Both Xiao Duo and Yinlou are chained for different reasons. He is chained into hatred and revenge. She is chained into following what people tell her to do. They can't be free and live like human. However once they found each other, they are able to break free from this chain. Xiao Duo finds a reason to live, become a human and feels warmth. Yinlou finds someone who truly loves her, not forcing her to do things she hates, and gives her freedom. However their love can't be known by others. In the end, their secret love will be free from this chain too.

They cut the whole revelation scenes. In the novel, Xiao Duo tells her he is a fake one after the bath scene. This bath scene happens after she gets poisoned. The next day, they lay down on her bed and he tells her. It's so steamy and explicit bcs they don't stop there 😂
Somehow I think they switched the order in the drama. My assumption: before the poisoning, Yinlou investigates his medicine. She suspects he is a man. So she tries to undress him at night and runs away bcs she is shy. Then the poisoning happens. After she wakes up, Xiao Duo helps her take a bath. That's where he tells her. It makes more sense this way.

As you know already, palace is a gold birdcage. It's a cold and lonely place. People are begging for favor, wanting to rise high, but once they get nothing, only emptiness left. Based on preview of eps 23, if Xiao Duo really misunderstands Yinlou, that means he doesn't know her well. Based on his background, his life is full of hatred and despise. He never trusts anyone. The only people he trusts are Cao Chun'ang and She Qilang, yet he never shows his vulnerable side to them. Yinlou turned his life and he became a human. She completely broke his wall and now he only wants to be with her. He puts all his trusts to her. However bcs of few harsh words from her he thinks she is THAT person. Means he doesn't know her, doesn't understand her character. Meanwhile Yinlou never doubts his feelings. Even when she is angry or jealous, she knows there is something underneath. She knows well that Xiao Duo is willing to throw his life for her that's why she pushes him away. She succeeds, he hates her.
But I don't think the misunderstanding will last long. Since Yinlou kidnaps empress Rong'an, the emperor blames Xiao Duo thinking he kidnaps Yinlou (oops) he might get that something is going on. Since Cao Chun'ang and Tong Yun will get in contact, she might tell him everything. Fingers crossed.

Yinlou is surely one of the rarest FL in cdrama. She is the smartest, boldest, bravest. She actually threatens the empress!? She even goes really far in episode 23-24! "You hit me, I hit you back". This girl has 9 lives! Her boldness reminds me of Xiao Yanzi 🤣👍🏻 She sees through old tricks and gets a new conclusion about the incident 6 years ago 👏👏

Next, Xiao Duo will misunderstand her even more. Yinlou's strategy succeeds, he hates her. I hope Tong Yun will tell him everything or he gets back to his sense. Since next week's episode will be the boat scene, I assume he won't misunderstand her for too long.

In china watermelon means gossip, rumors. So I interpret is as: our couple sneak out of palace and spend the night at the boat. They get captured, so Xiao Duo gets imprisoned, Yinlou is forced to marry the emperor. The poisoned wine might be for Xiao Duo or someone else. Then the rumors about someone died spread.

Like Yenki said, they might be sneaking out of palace at episode 25-26 and stay at a small boat. They might get captured again so Xiao Duo gets imprisoned while Yinlou is forced to get married with the emperor.

Yes there is supposed to be a bath scene and a scene where Yinlou tries to undress him, yet he does it himself. Then she runs away.

But in ep 23-24 Xiao Duo will give her cherries, yet she throws them away. Him giving her cherry shows he knows the truth 🤔
