On verra :D
Et non, je ne regarderai plus de drames familiales, est ce que tu rigole? Mdr!
I knew that Ip Man couldn't be the same without Donnie but still, Dennis To did a great job as the younger version. This film was quite acceptable from a Martial Arts fan's point of view even if it wasn't at the same level as the previous two.
I will never give up on Ip Man's sequels.

Oh, I see. I knew that 13 Assassins is a remake but I never stumbled around the original; I think it's hard to find but I never actually looked so hard for it.
As for Harakiri's remake; I am also going to watch that one soon, I just need to clear my list a bit. I heard about Hira but I haven't gotten around his works yet.

I thought of that possibility as well but I still can't ingest the fact that she began to love him overnight like that. Well, it's Kdrama melo; I can't be fully pleased with it.
Yosh! Today Sunday 10 November is the date we established the "Anti rom-com" club *dancing* *Happy songs* *loud claps*

Yes, in every season of currently airing Korean dramas there are many "best dramas ever" while Japanese/HKC dramas are being ignored. It's the Hallyu wave, what can we do about it? Oh, and I agree. At least we have some friends who understand the meaning behind good balanced taste in dramas and movies.
Are you kidding? Miike is one of my favorite dorectors, he's aliving lengend and yes I watched many of his movies but I don't watch his horror oriented ones, I really tend to avoid them as much as I can even if I love the director.

As you told me before, you also don't like pure romance dramas and you prefer them mixed up with other genres instead.
I actually like School dramas every once in a while so I will try to give Suzuki Sensei a go at some point in the future, it does seem intriguing.
Don't worry, even though Legal High is about the law, it isn't serious like a business drama or so. It's very funny and the main character is quite weird and hilarious.
Do you appreciated HKC dramas? I like them because I love Martial Arts/Wuxia movies so it's a given that I would watch the dramas. I would say My Bratty Princess is a great one; I liked it.
About 13 Assassins, I finished it a long time ago and it's one of my favorite movies. It's just that I saw Hirayama's picture when I was roaming around in my PC and remembered how much I fell in love with his badass character so I decided to put it as my avi (:

You've only seen 13 Assassins out of the newer Samurai films?
And you don't like Yoiji's trilogy? It's focuses on the human side of Samurai stories, it's enjoyable even if it can be somewhat slow.

Yes, I am quite sure that I wouldn't loved it the same if it was played by another actor that's not Ihara; I must agree he's really an awesome actor.
Of course! That's why I buy all Martial Arts movies DVD's, I have Jet Li, Jackie, Donnie, Bruce, Tony Leung and Andy Lau's full collections so that I can always rewatch on the big screen. I am also buying many Samurai movies these days, they're less available than Martial Arts movies though.
Oh, but Leon Lai is in the third installement of Infernal Affairs.
So you've seen the first episode? Yes, his character is quite intense and hateful in a good way. I must warn you that the lead actress is seriously bad at acting.
At first, I didn't actually paid her attention when I saw her around but she grew on me afterwards; her improvement is noticeable and her acting deserves the praise.
Keep up the good work Yui-chan.

I will definitely let you know about them in details in a pm since it may get long.
As for Secrets, I did like the sweet moments but I still got a little lost, I mean when on earth did she fall for him? But anyhow, I want it to end and Erin you better prepare yourself for a great possibility of a sad ending.
Yes, I am totally graduated from that dumb school and I feel so proud now. It's really awesome to get rid of those dramas!

Thanks! although I finished the movie where that guy comes from a very long time ago (13 Assassins) but once I randomly saw his picture in my PC, I remembered how much I literally fell in love with that guy and his badass nature that I got excited, I just love those types of characters.
If you're interested in Wuxia, Crime or even romantic movies then you will have your pie of Leon Lai; he had many movies of those genres. Also, have you seen Infernal Affairs?
Oh, you're starting Sealed with a Kiss? I wrote episode reviews for that drama so if you want to discuss it (especially the male lead's character) then I am here for you (:

I fastforward through my dramas too especially Korean, Taiwanese and HKC dramas but I rarely do that with Japanese because as you said they're short and don't drag most of the time.
Once Secret Love is finished next week, I will be able to start Reply 1994, I was really reluctant about it before but you and another friend gave me complete confidence in starting it.
The other two dramas you mentioned are a big no for me, I will stay completely away from romantic comedies and romance oriented Korean dramas.
Do you like intense mysterious stories? Ice World is one of the best mystery dramas I ever saw, the built up was so intense and intriguing to follow. It was also mixed with romance and in this case it's not the kind of romance that ruins things, it's the good one. But it's an old drama, I don't know if you're okay with that.

Yes the main girl is somehow an idiot but if you like the marriage theme and the idea of an older guy marrying a younger girl then you would like this. Have you seen My Little Bride? It's a little similar to it.
I had my off moments with episodic dramas but I managed to come back at some point that's because I can't just give up on detective dramas and all of them are episodic. Do you hate all episodic dramas?

One of them is Yuki, ne?
I knew that but in my opinion, I believe that Fist of Legend is better executed than Fist of Fury, of course this doesn't mean that I belittle Bruce Lee or something but the latter version is better in my opinion, maybe it's because of the time of production.

Yes, but that can lead to dilemma sometimes. You're in movies' phase? Were you able to watch anything interesting aside from Hollywood movies?
Absolutely you need to watch him in Legal High! You can see how great of an actor he is to be able to pull those types of characters. It has an episodic pattern though, I don't know if you're okay with that.
I know right? It's that the popular dramas always get hyped up while more than half of them don't even deserve to be given a chance. Only few people appreciate real hidden gems, some of them refuse to even look at any drama without any romantic interest in it. It's tiring to read their fangirling moments sometimes *sigh*
I don't know why everyone is skeptical about the second season; Komikado's weird funny character is the same, the drama is hilarious as ever and the only addition is Hanyu team who replaced Miki's gang which I find refreshing.
This is still very enjoyable like the first season if not better.

It happens to me sometimes that I hate the currently airing dramas and I always want to finish them except the greatest ones of course. For me, it's easier to watch some dramas while they're currently airing because many dramas become hard to finish once they're completed.
My guess that Reply 1994 isn't one of the dramas you want to drop?
